If you're looking for a safe place to detox, Pathways might get you through the door and through…read morethe worst of it. But if you're hoping for real recovery, support, or structure beyond that point--particularly in their adjoining Recovery Center--think twice. During my time there, it felt like the facility was run by the most disruptive patients, not the staff. What should have been a place of healing turned into a toxic social hierarchy where bullying was the norm. A small group of aggressive individuals essentially took over the environment, creating a jungle-like atmosphere where intimidation thrived. The staff, meanwhile, seemed either indifferent or completely unaware of what was going on. I witnessed this play out day after day, and the people who were actually there to work on themselves--who wanted to get better--ended up sidelined, ignored, or worse, made targets themselves. One of the lowest points was watching two of the "top dogs" regularly ridicule a disabled patient. When I finally stood up and called them out, I was shocked to see staff take their side. That night, I checked myself out. After that moment, the rest of the group just went silent, too afraid to speak up. That silence said everything. To make matters worse, there was one night when the nursing staff mixed up patients' medications. The result? Absolute chaos. The entire place turned into a manic madhouse for hours--people acting erratically, some nearly incoherent, others becoming aggressive or emotional without warning. It was dangerous, disturbing, and completely preventable. Not only was there no accountability, but it was treated like just another glitch in the system. There's a difference between letting people "work things out" and turning a blind eye to bullying and serious negligence. Pathways seems to have lost track of that distinction. Bottom line: If you're just detoxing, you might be okay here. But the Recovery Center that follows is chaotic, poorly managed, and anything but therapeutic. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone serious about rebuilding their life.

I have to second the addiction recovery patient's one star review. They denied my prescription for needing an appointment without contacting me to make one. When I called, it was 45 minutes after closing, because I called right after I went to get my pills. They have a zero exception rule to speak to a doctor about pills. They purposely put me on hold and left me there, refusing to allow me to speak to anyone. Why this matters? I am on a pill with terrible withdrawal, including suicidal thoughts. This is dangerous and incredibly morally reprehensible.
