Arrived at ER around Thurs noon to find almost nobody waiting and several staff members sitting behind the glass admittance window casually talking among themselves. We were told to wait (about 30-40 min.) and then told to come back to fill out forms. I was in for major oak pollen problems and, instead of treating me for that, they insisted on a "full workup." When I asked why and that it seemed complete overkill to attach heart monitors, etc. (esp. since I had zero individual or family history of heart or lung problems), they acted surprised/offended. I was finally discharged after about 6 hours with scripts for 3 meds. The meds didn't work and I returned Thursday about midnight. The ER lights were all off and it was dark inside. My wife ran inside and got someone telling them I needed a wheelchair. They brought us in right away and then wanted to do a full history. I told them NO - I JUST GAVE ONE HERE JUST A FEW HOURS AGO SO LOOK IT UP. The ER person said they couldn't look up records; her machine would only take me in as a new patient So there I saw, panting to catch my breath, trying to give them info they already had. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. It went downhill from there so, for brevity, I'll stop here. Will NEVER use again. read more

The first time here was extremely pleasant a few years ago. Short wait and lots of extremely kind people. I decided to tell the ambulance to take my boyfriend here because of that great experience. What an absolute mistake! I watched the ambulance move him in crippling pain through the ER doors. There are automatic doors separating patients from the main waiting room. So I waited 20 minutes to let them do their thing. I asked the man at the front desk if I could go back to make sure he was being taken care of. He is bad at gathering all information needed to tell doctors with how bad of condition he was in. I wanted to make sure all meds, symptoms, and allergies were listed. He completely snubbed me and said they will call me back if they need me. Then walked to the back. I've never been denied going back to see anyone at any hospital. He didn't even ask for his or my name. Unless he's telepathic, I'm not sure how he could contact me. I decided to not get any kind of attitude and wait for a nurse or another staff member walk by. After about 30 or more minutes, a nurse finally walks by. I asked her kindly if she could open the doors so I could check on him. She asked if someone was in the back room that I knew. Why would I ask to go back there if it wasnt for a patient i knew? For funsies?? She obviously wasn't telepathic like the man before. I let her know my boyfriend was in the back and she tapped on the glass where the man was that blew me off. "This is where you ask to go back to see anyone." She was loking at me like "duhhhh dummy". I replied that the man had just ignored me and all she said was "he's very busy." She was clearly mad at me for saying her coworker ignored me and walked away to the back. After another 2 hours of waiting, I watched the man wave through multiple people through the double doors. If he wasn't keeping guard and I knew where my boyfriend was, I would've just walked in behind someone else. I'm not sure why he was so mean to me for no reason from the start. At first I thought it was my tattoos, but I saw multiple ems and doctors with full leg tattoos and full arm tattoos. He 100% is not too busy to help me. I'm watching him right now. Just sitting on his phone. All while I'm sitting in a waiting room with no information about anything. Hes so kind to everyone else who has came up to him for help. I understand being stressed at work. I have empathy for all in the medical field. I don't mind them being rude to me. What I mind is the fact that there's a patient in the back who can't walk and can barely speak due to his spinal stenosis and herniated disc's who has no help. They could be mixing medications that hurt him further. I'm his caretaker who writes down his last dose times, amounts, and names of meds. I will try to find out his name and the name of nurse who have been too busy to help (my eyes are rolling looking around at the empty waiting room and empty back room.) And I will update this with their names if I do. Nobody should be treated this way when searching for a loved one in an emergency room. They've made me scared to ask anyone else for help. I might only be his girlfriend, but we have been in each other's lives for over 13 years. That is my family and I take care of him 24/7. To not know what's going on is giving me extreme anxiety. Thanks a lot to the front desk guy who worked today this hour! You SUCK and I will absolutely never come back to this place again. I regret coming here because a good past experience. The past is certainly not the present. Fingers crossed the doctors and nurses in the back were kind to him. Fingers crossed he remembers his meds and last time he took them. Fingers crossed nothing bad happens to him. It's been over 2 hours now and still no word. read more

One male nurse out of the crew provided care, female at counter had real attitude problem, other nurses all were TOO busy even though there seemingly wasn't any emergencies. Doctor was very young, explained everything in 45 seconds and disappeared! ** NOTE: I've been Pt there myself over the years, 4 miles from home will no longer be a consideration.... Cedar Park Regional Emergency Room doesn't exist in my vocabulary anymore - truly sad! And BTW, they have messed up my records and over billed my insurance company in the past. read more

That was one of the most alarming visits to an ER that I have ever experienced.  They were slammed so I had hours to sit and listen and observe how they were treating other patients. Disorganized,  chaotic,  lack of empathy,  and very unprofessional.  Heaven help us if there is any kind of large-scale emergency in our community because they will not be remotely equipped to respond. Please do some heavy oversight and training for the triage nurse that was at the intake desk.  While she was stressed but kind to me,  her behavior and actions with other patients was just disgusting. read more

Visited today after I was told that the urgent care couldn't handel my medical crisis. Was seen in a timely manner with professionalism and care. Thank you Dr. Kim!!!! He observed that I was in severe pain in the waiting room and immediately made his way toward me and made everything a bit more comfortable. Very kind and caring staff. I NEVER feel the need to write reviews, but the experience I had on 8/28 is one I truly hope no one has to go through. I went to the ER because I was working out and felt a pop in the back of my leg, and was very confident I ruptured my achilles tendon. I have my degree in Kinesiology, NASM certification, and have been competing in CrossFit for 5 years, and felt EXTREMELY confident this was an achilles rupture. I go to the ER, try to check in, and there was no one greeting or there to tell us where to go. I fill out a slip with my name and go wait in the waiting room. They're receiving my vitals and a nurse comes up, ask whats wrong, begins probing me, then says they need to x-ray my ankle. I'm currently in a wheelchair at this time because I can't walk. I'm wheeled into a separate non-sick waiting area, and then am told to get out of the wheelchair and sit in a chair. Mind you, my leg is on fire, I'm in excruciating pain and don't want to move much if at all. I get out of the wheelchair, sit in a regular chair in the non-sick waiting room. After two hours, a nurse comes over and takes me back to X-Ray. I still have not received pain medication and I'm at a 6-7 on the pain scale. While I am ON THE TABLE, waiting to get X-Rayed, the nurse comes up to me and tells me there is another nurse sleeping behind the X-ray booth under a blanket. I felt like there was no need for me to know this information, and also, I began questioning why I came here. My X-Rays get done and I'm wheeled back to the non-sick waiting room, and told AGAIN to get out of the wheelchair and sit in a chair. It's been three hours at this point and I need to go to the bathroom, but haven't been able to go since I don't have a wheelchair, and my ride who took me to the hospital had to run home to take care of something before returning. A separate nurse comes up to me to finally give me pain medication and I asked her if she could take me to the bathroom which she did, and she was the best person I had seen all night! She grabbed me a wheelchair and water and said "I don't know why they didn't let you sit in this". I finally see the doctor after being there for three hours. He examines me and I tell him I heard a pop, it felt like someone kicked me in the back of the leg, and I couldn't put weight on my leg or walk. He started probing my leg and asked if I could move my foot up or down, which I couldn't, and then began fixating on pain in my calf because I told him there was pain there. He then tells me he's going to go to radiology and ask to get an MRI or CT. At this time I'm thinking things are starting to look up! Another hour passes and he comes up to me and says he spoke to another Orthopedic Doctor and that him and the doctor are "extremely" confident that I instead tore my medial gastrocnemius (calf muscle). When I tell ya'll my achilles was not visible, you couldn't feel it, or see the distinction in the back of my leg! I did not get scanned, and instead was told to be put into a splint and be sent home. The doctor then gave me a referral to see the ortho the next day to do "further diagnosing". At midnight I finally got home, (still did not have pain meds and had to pick them up in the morning). I called the ortho office at 8am when they opened to receive "further diagnosis" that I didn't feel confident was going to happen since this is the same doctor that diagnosed me with a calf tear when I was showing ALL the sign of an achilles rupture. They office assistant told me the earliest they could get me in would be 3 days later, and I couldn't wait that long with still no answer. I took it upon myself to schedule a separate ortho appointment with no referral the same day at a separate clinic that specializes in sports rehab. Within 5 minutes of seeing this doctor he was able to CORRECTLY diagnose me with a FULL achilles tendon rupture, AND schedule me for surgery Thursday morning!!! THE SAME THURSDAY I WAS GOING TO SEE THE OTHER ORTHO DOCTOR. Please, do yourself a favor and do NOT visit this ER. Advocate for your health, and get a second opinion. read more

Took mom in and was in a room super fast. Staff started evaluating her immediately. Everyone was kind and attentive. The ER patient rooms are spacious. They listened to her, asked questions respectfully and admitted her quickly. The staff seemed experienced, knowledgeable and competent. read more

This ER is a scam. Brought my wife in earlier, they did not conduct Any reasonable tests, said their best guess was a virus. No real diagnosis, seemed to not care. The "solution" they had was to give anti-nausea medicine, even though she wasn't nautios, so she'd get tired and want to go to sleep. Obviously when she woke up she felt even worse and went back. They said they had no record of her being there that morning, refused to assist with anything. No IV, no testing, no medication of any sort, no recommendations, nothing. No concern over dizziness, blurred vision, etc. Going to a real ER with real doctors. That isn't this place. Never had a bad experience with any local hospital, or ER, or doctor before this, and we've been to many. WE will be taking this up with Management and our insurance company. read more

I had a scare with my 4 year old and being new to the area I had no idea where to go. The staff from the moment I entered until the moment we left were exceedingly helpful, kind and patient with me in every way.. I am so happy to know that there is an emergency room close to my home that is so compassionate! Not only for my child but for an anxiety ridden panicked mom. I am physician visiting from out of town. I went to Cedar Park Regional Emergency Room for an urgent medical problem. The doctor did not examine me. She never listened to my heart or lungs or checked my abdomen. She ordered a test and said that it indicated a certain diagnosis and said that another test would be pending. I was to take a new antibiotic. Six hours after the visit, I called to talk with the doctor, and I was told that the doctor would not talk with me that I had to come in. I went back and when I asked the doctor some of my questions, she said that she did not have an answer to my questions but that she would order a CT scan. I asked if I would be billed for a second ER visit, she said no, because I was just seen there six hours ago. The following two days, I called three times for the results of the pending test, and they would not give me the results. I found out from the patient portal, that the first test did not indicate the given diagnosis and that a second test was never done. The doctor had LIED to me. They did bill for a second ER visit and lied and said that I left the following day. This place lies, commits medical malpractice and steals money from patients and insurance companies. They should be closed. read more

On Dec. 27th, my 13 yr. old son broke his arm and we rushed him to CP Regional. It was after hours, therefore we had no other options (side note- we did not know that Dell Children's in CP was open.) When we arrived, the waiting room was packed and we asked the receptionist if we should go somewhere else and they told us, oh no, you are here now. My 13 yr old was in so much pain that they put him in an XRay room (which was not working currently and was like an icebox.) They took XRays via a mobil machine they had to drag into the room, gave him pain meds and told him not to eat anything as he might need surgery. SIX HOURS later, we learned that they had one dr. on staff, had several code blues and my son was getting worse and worse. After another dr. arrived, he determined that my son will need surgery and gave us an option to either stay there over night (NO THANK YOU!) or go to Dell Children's 2 miles away. So now, we have two emergency room bills when the lady at the front desk should have told us at the beginning to go across the street and get the immediate care for our son vs. wait there for 6 hrs. On top of that, to transport our son, they had to give him more pain meds, on an empty stomach which made him SUPER sick and he had to be sedated once we arrived to Dell's. Needless to say, healthcare is no longer about carrying for patients but how can you get more people through your doors so you can bill them and give them NO CARE! DO NOT EVER GO THERE IF YOU HAVE OTHER OPTIONS! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This review is based on the lack of safety and concern, and the disregard of a patient's needs. The evening of May 31, 2022, I took my wife to the ER because she had a low heart rate and shortness of breath. After triage we were taken to room 9 and waited... and waited. An EKG wasn't done for a couple of hours even though she was maintaining a heart rate in the low-to-mid 40s. Not to mention that we had to ASK for an EKG! My wife's cardiac monitor rang loud and was flashing red because her heart rate dropped to 37. I went out of the room to find someone and no one was around until I saw a CT Tech go to the nurses station and turn off her alarm. He turned it off and walked away. Again, her heart rate was 37! This is a complete disregard for patient safety! Finally, the charge nurse and PA strolled in completely clueless. When I mentioned the alarm, I was met with, "Well, we didn't get notified." Of course they didn't, the CT Tech turned it off. Next thing we knew, discharge papers were being tossed our way even though my wife's symptoms hadn't been resolved. We ended up at another ER an hour later where my wife got admitted to ICU for 3 days. I will NEVER take anyone I know to or recommend CP Regional. I'm disappointed in the lack of competence the ER staff showed. I'm disgusted by the experience we had and have lost all respect for the ER staff that were present that night. read more

AVOID THIS EMERGENCY ROOM: to be clear, the medical services I received were what was expected given my injury. I dislocated my shoulder and had to have it put back into place. I was given a mild sedative, had it popped back in, X-Ray to confirm and was then out of there within an hour. Weeks later I received the bill for services rendered and the total charged to me was $6,836. With no description of any of the itemized charges, the bill only states that balance due. I requested an Itemized description of charges and have not yet received anything. $6,800 for something as simple as a shoulder dislocation is frankly criminal. With no transparency or accountability this just feels like taking advantage of patients with no regard for them as human beings. I will update this review as this situation progresses. read more

2 week as ago I had to take me 20 year old son in to the ER. I have to say that the care he received was fantastic. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. They showed care and concern for his issue and made us comfortable the entire time. The appointment was very efficient, it did not appear that they were terribly busy, no people in the waiting area, but I could see by the computers that almost every room was full. I was also see here 3 years ago for. Kidney stone and found the care great. They were informative and caring. They took the time to make me comfortable and make the correct diagnosis. My only issue at that time was that I'm addition to the ER copay and the amount that I had had to pay for my deductible, I received a $1,300 bill specifically for the doctor who saw me that day because HE was not in my network at the time. I did not realize that the hospital can be in network but the doctor not be and get separate bills. ( I do not hold that against the hospital since it's my insurance that was terrible) read more

Came in for a possible broken toe. Was checked in and had xrays very quickly. That was the only quick thing that happened. Despite being in significant pain, I did not get pain meds for over 2 1/2 hours. At the 3 hour mark, I was told a doctor was reading the xrays. At the 3 1/2 hour mark, the nurse practitioner gave me the results in a waiting room of patients (lack of privacy) and that I could go in about 5 minutes. A woman was told she had a UTI while in the same waiting room. Medical privacy is something that's supposed to be valued by the hospital but guess not today. No exam performed by a doctor or nurse practitioner. There were, also, people that came after me that left before me that were obviously not ill - even with what the patients said. I understand triage very well, and they failed on that. The discharge papers did not happen in 5 minutes. I finally was able to leave after 4 hours. read more

I went into the ER yesterday around 4:30... they were packed I had to be seen in the lobby due to the amount of people there. I waited yes.. but you know what I have nothing but positive words to say about this place. The nursing staff, clerks, check in lady , RN Blake, PA Shelly they all were so sweet and helpful when I was in the worst of pain! These workers are superhero's!! My review is about the 2nd floor CCU. YES, CCU (Critical Care Unit). You click the button to have someone come help you and they respond by saying "how may I help you" (this is normal). What isn't normal is them acting like you are bothering them. Then taking forever to assist you. On top of that they leave the room when you are in the restroom. Ummm hello, you need to stay in the room to make sure everything is ok. Teach your staff how to provide better customer service and do your job, correctly. read more

I know that I have seen a number of people be unhappy with their experiences at CP ER. I did not have that experience. I went in with a heart rhythm problem. I was immediately walked back and was hooked up to a 12 lead EKG...all in about 3 minutes. I saw a doctor in the first 5 minutes. All of my care was top notch, though I ended up in CCU for 4 days. I went back to that ER 2 weeks later, after a chemical stress test caused some severe cardiac symptoms. Everyone was terrific again. So, I guess it depends on the problems you have, but I had fantastic care for cardiac issues at CPRMC. read more

Nurse Benny has NO bedside manner. Even though it was a Tuesday night and there was literally NO ONE in the waiting room, he kicked me out of my room. My husband was not there to pick me up yet and I had only my bathrobe and pants, no shirt to wear because my husband was bringing it. Benny didn't care about that. He told me to wait in the lobby. I was actually still in pain. Thanks a lot, Nurse @!@#)&(*. I called the next day to speak to the supervisor/head of ER (?) and was told they were not there but would be in the next day and would call me back. Well, it is now almost a month later and no one has called me back. I feel that I was treated as a drug seeker and subjected to (and billed for) unnecessary testing because of that, and will be filing a formal complaint. read more

WARNING: STAY AWAY FROM HERE UNLESS ITS ABSOLUTELY SERIOUS!!! I came in here late evening on a Saturday for a knee boil that had gotten infected. It was already draining and i just needed antibiotics. I was here for about an hour Saw the doctor for less than 15 minutes total Got iv antibiotics And they did an ultrasound, directives and prescription. Everything was pretty standard except for the bills that have started to roll in Er exam $653 Er services (adjusted) $2337 Ultrasound imaging $72 Total so far: $3062 Bottom line: unless you have amazing insurance this place will bankrupt you. Stay far away from here and go to urgent care on parmer instead unless you are seriously sick or injured. I regret coming here. read more

We went into triage and were told my daughter would receive steroid for throat hurting and anti nausea meds. We were there for an hour and a half no meds. During that time I asked for a blanket for her, she was shivering the entire time. Nurse said she would bring, never did. We ended up leaving. Super poor customer service from front desk as well. I am unsure why this place received just low reviews. I was admitted quickly and professionally. The nurse was super informative but I also asked a lot of questions. The attending physician after my official check up, came in just to speak with me if everything was ok and if I was feeling better. I also asked him a lot of questions and he was very through. I originally was very nervous coming here with all the reviews but it was totally a great hospital experience. read more

Outrageously expensive. My son was there for about an hour. No tests were given, just some ibuprofen. The ibuprofen was $11. And the bill from the facility -- not including the doctor, who was competent at least, and reasonably priced -- is for $2880. Almost $3000 to be checked in and to spend less than an hour in a room. Let me start off with this: I took my boyfriend here when he asked me to take him to the hospital because he was feeling ill. I was very impressed with the service he received. He had a 101.3 fever told him he had the flu. They checked his blood pressure consistently and showed genuine concern. They gave him a steroid shot to help the chills go away and a pill. He left with a prescription of tamiflu. I got sick the following day thanks to the flu being contagious. I tried treating my symptoms with Tylenol. It would break my fever of 102.7 to 100 but it always bounced back. Once I got to 103 I decided it was time to go to the hospital as after 3 days I was not getting better with the treatment I was doing. Plus the Tylenol pill bottle says if you still have a fever after 3 days see a doctor. This was a 3 hour visit. They did not check my blood pressure once I got into a room. The doctor just told me to keep taking Tylenol and there's nothing else they can do. I was literally in shock. 3 hours for them to tell me that. They didn't even offer the steroid shot to help the symptoms or the pills they offered my boyfriend. They gave me a pill of Motrin and sent me on my way. The doctor never even came back for me to ask why I wasn't offered the steroid shot or the other pill my boyfriend received. Worst 75 dollar visit. If I would have known this I would have never went. read more

My husband recently went to the emergency room for urinary retention and I went with him. The nurse who put in a catheter put it in in such a way that he was in extreme pain from the pull of the catheter for four days until we went to a urologist. The urologist told us that the catheter had been put on wrongly. It was secured tightly to the side and hence the pain. We will not come back to this emergency room. read more

STAY AWAY! Don't even bring an injured animal there. There a too many other ED's to go to to get better care. I'm a retired nurse. I am embarrassed and disgusted by the attitude, the lack of sympathy, and the judgemental (lack of) care I received by the nurses at this ED; charge nurse included. I was told to get up and see if my sciatica pain was better after receiving medication by mouth. I fell in the room (as a result of my disability and diagnosis. On the floor, two nurses that witnessed me go down stood over me and one said, "well now you've made it worse". And, "how did you get so far away from the bed". I was still lying on the floor! The one of the nurses half-heartedly helped me up. NO ONE ASKED ME IF I WAS HURT, WAS I OK, NOTHING. I WAS NOT ASSESSED AT ALL. When I asked for a bandaid for the little scrape I got on my knee, the nurse said, "oh, you had that when you came in?" I said no, I got it when I fell on the floor. She wiped the scrape with an alcohol swab and put a bandaid on it. Also, the last time I went there I FELL and thought I broke my hand. When the charge nurse came in he asked if I had a ride home, when was she coming, how long it would take her to get there, where did she live. He came in 3 times to ask me that. When I told him he could just dump me in the waiting room, he said, " no, it's a matter of SAFETY that he had to made sure I had a ride home. Really SAFETY, what about me falling on the floor -- but I said nothing. When my daughter arrived (have 2 small children I had her drop me off thinking I could handle myself) NO ONE WOULD SPEAK TO HER AT THE NURSES STATION. I felt like they thought I was faking. (It had been 5 days at home in bed stretching, hot, cold, you name it I did it. I was at my wits end when I got there (I could not get an appointment with my primary until 2 1/2 weeks later). I could not stand the pain any more, it was excruciating. My disability is painful enough, but this put me over the edge. Tonight as I write this I found a half dollar size bruse on my hip where I hit the floor. I am also type 2 diabetic - no one checked my sugar! No one asked me if I had a kit to check my own (incase they were trying to save money). Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Never go to this emergency room!! I was taken here on Sunday September 13, 2015 by my loving husband. I had been running fever and in bed since the Thursday before. We spent approximately 3 hours in the ER. I was given two bags of normal saline, labs were drawn, and a ua specimen given. The doctor insisted on a CT scan stating I could have appendicitis although there was no rebound tenderness. My husband asked if that was really necessary and asked how much would that cost?He had asked on every step of the treatment. What is this for what will it tell you? How much will it cost? He would get an answer on the first two questions but never on the the question of cost. The doctor is insistent on doing a CT scan and tells my husband that if it is appendicitis and it ruptures that I could die the doctor assures him that it is medically necessary but again has no idea of what the cost is. It is not appendicitis and labs come back I have a kidney infection and am given iV antibiotic, Tylenol and an injection for ? Well we don't know; (my husband even called after we returned home to ask what the shot had been for he had been out of the room when it was administered and could not get an answer the nurse pulled my records but said she did not see where an injection had been given.) The doctor says he wants to admit me to the hospital for my kidney infection. We declined he did not want to take no for an answer. There was a 10 minute discussion on how it would be best if I were admitted to the hospital for a couple of days. When my husband and I both said no to the admission he appealed to us one more time that I stay then just for 24 hour observation. Again we refused and were given a Rx for antibiotics for the infection and Naporsyn for pain. We are instructed to take antibiotics completely and to drink plenty of water. This past Friday I get a call from the collection department of the hospital (I have not yet received any statement in the mail). My 3 hour ER visit costs $15,000.00 dollars but they will give me a discount since I have no insurance of $6,000.00 dollars. Leaving me a $9,000.00 bill. That is $5,000 an hour discounted to 3,000 an hour. OUTRAGEOUS. This is the reason our healthcare system is so messed up. They would not even dream of billing an insurance company this ridiculous amount but they will an individual. Hospitals should not be able to arbitrarily charge such vastly different prices for the same procedures and treatments. There should be some sort of standard and they should be ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES for ordering large dollar tests that are not necessary. Nope nope nope nope. Don't even come here. They used to be great - very on top of their game 3 years ago. I don't know if management changed or some such, but the downhill slide is TANGIBLE. I used to go to this ER all the time for my asthma, which would never react to home therapies. Over the last year, my wait time with a breathing emergency has increase by at least 15 mins. So I stopped going there for asthma, quite positively because if I go there in an emergency, they will sit there and let me die waiting to see a doctor. The staff is rude. That brings me to the next infraction - I came in recently with back pain so tremendous I could not stop crying to catch my breath. I was screaming in agony, very much scaring the other patients. The staff, while I applaud their cool, calm collectedness, treated me like a freaking drug seeker or like I was faking. They just told me to be quiet. Then they forced me to stand before giving me any kind of attention, so I got to my knees - the best I could do. Still bawling my eyes out, I said, "I can't." The unfeeling robot of a 'nurse' told me that I was going to have to press harder with my legs to stand up. Oh, really? Thanks. At nearly 30 years old, I had never thought of involving my legs while standing. Revolutionary concept! (Also, they seemed to disregard the fact that I had a previously fracture vertebrate. Absolutely ignored that, and the fact that I could not feel my right leg below the knee.) Aside from the lack of sympathy, I didn't ever see the doctor they listed on my paperwork. (Like i said, I've been there before and I know what Dr. Robson looks like. This tiny blonde female was not Dr. Robson.) After 3 hours of waiting, I saw a head nurse, who told me I was having cramps from my period.Not sure how I would be having cramps from a uterus that was removed 6 years ago, but meh. This ER will be found criminally negligent one day, but I'm determined that it won't be on me. I heard her BS and called an ambulance to take me to the closest hospital that was not this loony bin of people who don't say hello but go on pretending to be healthcare providers. It is an embarrassment that my health insurance will still have to pay for their ridiculously lacking "treatment." Oh, the +1 star is because the guy who collects your insurance info is very smiley and sweet. He gets his own star. read more

Extremely disappointed in the care I received during my ER visit. Even more disappointed in the follow up attention I received after two and a half months of attempting to speak to someone regarding the concerns I had with my patient care. Website says patient's rights and responsibility are to "Be treated in a dignified and respectful manner and to receive reasonable responses to reasonable requests for service." I would love to know what "reasonable" means. Because 5 phone call follow ups on my end spanning over 60+ days with NO update on my account does not seem to meet that definition to me. When I FINALLY get someone to call me back I was told my visit to the ER was very routine and was not handled incorrectly. Funny how it didn't really matter what I said or was going to say because their response was already ready to go. Nothing about an ER visit is routine to a patient. Each and every patient should be treated with the best care and attention because that is suppose to be a standard in healthcare. A patient should never feel like they are just a number on a chart or a payment to be collected. The lack of sincerity I received during my initial visit and then through my attempts to follow up was almost inhuman to me. My biggest concerns are that I don't feel like I received the best care I could have. I don't feel like the physician who saw me did everything he could to make sure I left comfortable with my treatment plan. I don't feel like the physician told me ALL POSSIBLE options of what could have been the cause of my pain. I full heartedly believe that I was told the easiest explanation instead of being truly assessed and evaluated to their best extent possible. I guess because I wasn't suffering from anything life threatening and they established that their job was done. At the end of the day, I'm writing this review because you have a choice in your patient care and I recommend going to any other ER before you go here. ANYWHERE ELSE! read more

On Jan 6, we brought my daughter in for an allergic reaction. We waited for 2 hours in the room and never saw a dr. The RN Kristin was rude and never even asked why we brought our baby daughter in. However we did Hear her and Dr. Varsaad sitting at the nurses station for 20 minutes chatting. After they finished chatting he went off shift. We then asked the RN when we would see the dr and she said she didn't know but felt the need to defend the fact that the dr went off shift and said another dr would see saying that the drs switch areas every 3 hrs. Of course this upset us so we decided to leave. We asked the so called RN where the exit was and she literally showed us the door. Never asked us how the baby was or why we were leaving. I posted this earlier this week on FB and I see they deleted it. Guess they are trying to hide their horrible customer service. read more

Horrible. If you choose to be a nurse or a doctor at least pretend to care rather than siting on your cell phone at the nurses station.

Having read about Cedar Park Hospital ER - Avoid ER Wait Times feature. I attempted to book an ER appointment and avoid the normal waiting room inconvenience and petri dish atmosphere. However, the automated system would not allow me to set an appointment because they determined, based on my symptoms, shortness of breath and constant coughing that I needed to come in without an appointment and see a Doctor asap. This appointment request occurred on March 9th at 8pm. After a brief check-in and reason for my visit. l was ushered into an examination room and promptly visited by ER Doctor Kim and Nurse Alisha. Their presence and genuine concern gave me a feeling of comfort rarely experienced in an ER setting. After listening without interruption to my issues they informed me of their actions to find out and mitigate was was affecting me. My first activity was a chest x-ray followed by blood tests etc. After an hour both Dr. Kim and nurse Alisha came in and explained the results of all the tests and determined that my problems were exacerbated by uncontrollable coughing and its effect on my system. Clearly, this note is not intended to describe my health, but, it is to provide a candid overview of what a terrific ER team and system I benefited from. In this case, Dr. Kim and nurse Alisha deserve praise for proving once again, " It isn't important to know how much, you know until they know how much you care" Thank you CPH-ER for attracting and retaining talented professional caregivers. I call bogus on the 'wait time' billboards. Bring a blanket and warm clothes for a cold, LONG wait unless you are gushing blood. Limited options after 9:30pm, resulted in this visit. Will find alternatives for next 'non-emergency' emergency. This is an excellent example of inefficient management and poor customer service. Instead of addressing patient frustrations, nursing staff called security to have upset family members removed from the hospital. Absolutely no compassion. Salt on the wound, so to speak, was having to shout personal information through a glass window prior to leaving. During the 4 hours of sitting in the vicinity, why wasn't all of this information gathered sooner and in a private manner? NEVER EVER AGAIN read more
