Now, once you enter you are transported to a winter wonderland of Christmas - so much so - you might forget it might be the middle of the year. In our case, we showed up just over a week shy of Thanksgiving 2023, so the Christmas spirit was starting to build up in both my wife and I. It's what made showing up at this place that much more enjoyable. They had what you would expect at a year-round Christmas shop - from the fancy to the kitschy - it was all there and I would say reasonably priced. The sales staff was super friendly and out-of-their-way helpful, it was fun just jawing with them and such. Hopefully the locals are showing this place some love - especially during the holiday season - it would be well-deserved.

A friend recently ordered a beautiful basket of flowers to be sent to me…read moreon my birthday. She requested that the flowers arrive at my home by 3:30pm on a Saturday and that the delivery person call in advance to let me know that the flowers were on the way. It was a beastly hot and humid day. When I left my home at 4pm that afternoon, I found the basket of flowers at my doorstep. The delivery person neither called me nor even had the courtesy of ringing the doorbell to alert me that a delivery was at the front door. I called the florist on Monday to ask when the flowers had been delivered and explain what had happened. The woman answering the phone looked at the delivery manifest and at first said delivery was at 2pm and when I expressed horror (that the flowers were in the heat for several hours), she corrected herself and said delivery was at 3pm. In either case, the flowers were left in the heat for at least 1 hour and perhaps as long as two hours. Let me add, too, that the woman on the phone offered no apologies nor expressed any regret that the request for a call wasn't honored or that the lovely (expensive) arrangement had been left in the heat for that length of time. I will take my business elsewhere and encourage all that I know to do likewise. Poor business practices and even worse customer service at Suncoast Florist.
