It's within the cedar creek settlement building

Checked this place out. It's in a cute building and has a good assortment of wines. We did a tasting. We each bought a bottle of our favourite. Only comment would be that we would have stayed longer - maybe had a glass and bought some cheese to munch on had there been chairs. Standing only which made for a brief stay. Staff was lovely and it was a good but short stop!

It was ok. Staff could have been a bit more friendly and knowledgeable. Don't get me wrong, they weren't bad but more like just ok. Wines weee also just ok.

Fun place to try a few wines. They have 5 predetermined wines that they offer tasting of for 10 dollars. A good cross section of red/ white dry/sweet was provided. I would have like to picked my 5 but it was good nonetheless. The day I was there they featured the Beaujolias which is a red, the Belle Blue which is a blueberry wine, a Pinot Grigio which was delicious, the Wollersheim White which was just ok, and their Strawberry Blush which was my favorite of the 5. If your in the area and walking Washington street, I would suggest you stop in for a tasting.

I didn't come in expecting great wine, and it's not great wine. So just manage your expectations. If you're a Napa type or even a Paso Robles type, this isn't your wine. BUT, having said that, the staff is friendly and kind and I appreciated that and we had fun.

Sometimes we forget you don't have to go far to have a fun wine experience. With the current Covid-19 situation it Didn't pay for me to drive hours for limited tastings so we Stayed local and glad we did. Surrounding shops always a good time, But a ghost Town today. Let's remember to support our loc shops!

Shocked to discover that Wisconsin actually has wineries! I thought the soil and climate would be too hostile for growing wine grapes, but guess not. PROS: - Staff is super sweet, knowledgeable, and friendly. Our server was more than happy to answer all my questions about the wines, where the grapes are grown, etc. 10/10 customer service. - Rustic and charming atmosphere made for a casual tasting experience. It's fine to show up in a jeans and t-shirt here - Location! Cedar Creek is located right next to a river inside Cedarburg's downtown, and we wandered into the cute shops nearby after our tasting CONS: - As an admitted wine snob, I was not greatly impressed by Cedar Creeks' wines, but considering their wines cost around $10/bottle, I made sure to maintain realistic expectations. Some of their wines did mildly impress me (the Beau Blanc shocked me with its smokiness and hints of spice, leather, and tobacco!), but overall lack the complexity found in more sophisticated wines. Their popular wines are the dessert wines (Strawberry Blush), for obvious reasons -- they straight-up taste like spiked grape juice. FUN FACTS (that I learned while bothering my sommelier with questions): - Some of their grapes are imported from Washington and Upstate NY! - They have a sister winery in Madison, WI, where their vineyards are located. Cedar Creek Winery ain't a Napa winery, but the two shouldn't be compared in the first place. Keep your expectations low with the wine and you'll have a great experience.

We stopped into Cedar Creek Winery just to have a peek and to do a little retail shopping. The place is really cute. Located in the huge vintage Cedar Creek Settlement building right on the water is very fitting. It's really spacious with plenty of room at the huge bar area to do some tasting. There is a nice rustic vibe that feels casual and relaxed. I love all the natural wood that made the room quite comfortable. We wandered around and I found some cute things for gifts. My friends picked up a few items too. I think the price point is right where it should be. Everything seemed very reasonable and a great value. I must say the several staff members working the afternoon we wandered in were not overly welcoming. I didn't hear a "Hello" or a "Can I help you?". That's ok. We still had a nice visit to the retail shop. I would definitely return for a proper tasting.

I hate to leave a negative review because the people were SO NICE, but oooff-we did not like these wines. The ones with the most fun names were sweet, syrupy, and probably just what you'd expect from a Wisconsin winery. The ones with more gravitas just lacked in depth. On the other hand, they served a warm Christmastime mulled wine the day that we were there, and that wasn't bad. So...just go in with the right expectations. It's not Napa. It's a cute place to visit around the holidays to stop in, have a chat with the kind employees, snap some photos, and drink some of the warm stuff.

An adorable winery nestled in the beautiful town of Cedarburg. I enjoyed a tasting while visiting which allowed me to sample 5 wines for $10. The wines in the tasting were already selected for you. The building itself was a bit small, but they have beautiful outdoor seating. When visiting, be sure to check out the selection of shops upstairs!

My absolute favorite local winery. It's a great day trip from the Chicago Area. The wine varieties has something from everyone. If you buy a case you become a caseclub member with a free bottle and invites to special events. I just went, 8 samplings with a plate of many cheeses for only $10!! I love the seasonal cranberry and strawberry blush.

Great place for shopping and wine tasting. Start off with complimentary wine tasting and add $1/taste afterward really let's you get to explore their wine menu and enjoy the tastings. The offered wines were all good and we left with a bottle of one of the complimentary (Christmas blush) and one of the extra tastings ("little brother" French wine). Syrah was a really good one if you enjoy red wines. Will definitely be back to enjoy another wine tasting and shopping. Very friendly staff and cool place to visit.

Beautiful day for Strawberry Fest :)

They have a very large selection of cheeses from Wisconsin, the US, and abroad, with lots of unique offerings. We tried a chicken soup Monterrey jack and a mustard Gouda, both of which we really enjoyed. The chicken soup cheese actually tastes like chicken broth from a rich soup, which was definitely a new experience. The room is decorated and bright, and felt like a great spot to stop on a Saturday afternoon. It's a nice change of pace from the usually-crowded bars through downtown Cedarburg. You should be aware that the tasting room apparently can't serve charcuterie boards themselves because of the class of license (maybe no food service cert.) but they're happy to help you enjoy any of the cheeses you purchased in the store and offer you some wine(s) to accompany them. The bartender graciously offered us some crackers to go with the plate and we were able to put together a satisfying little wine tasting experience! The one thing I would like to see is a few more wines on offer for the wine flights; at the time, they were a bit heavy on sweet white wines, which is just not my taste but may be popular in the area. They also have a cocktail list, beers, and their own brand of several liquors, so there are plenty of options. We will be back for a nice afternoon glass of wine and some cheese. It's also a good source of reasonably priced cheeses and wine if you want to have a picnic at the parks nearby.

They also have wine and tropical merchandise to purchase. The wines are made from tropical fruits. The range from sweet to dry and are offering free wine tasting. You are given a sheet that list all the wines and you have the opportunity to try six wines. Plus you get to try a wine slushy. Some of the wines I tried were: key lime, white gold peach, Florida banana (tasted like eating a fresh banana), coco polada (their take on a pina colada), and strawberry blush. The Hot Sun is their take on a bloody mary and smells like a tomato. Overall, it was a great experience and the wine pours are very generous. The bartenders were very nice and you can tell they were having fun explaining all the wines. Definitely a must try!

We came just after opening on a Friday- Megan, the owner, was there to great us and was very friendly and answered questions we had about the wine and smoothie mixes they have for sale. None of the wines are made by "Sunshine Winery" but instead are all brought in from a winery in Florida. The craziest thing is that NONE of the wines in the shop contain any grapes. I have never tried a wine that didn't have grapes in it!! We took advantage of the great offer to sample any 6 wines- I am not a huge fan of banana flavored items but decided to taste the banana wine and it tastes just like a banana laffy taffy! My favorite was probably the "Blueberry Blue" - it was listed under a dry wine but I would say it still had a sweet finish. I do think most of the wines I tried are too sweet to enjoy much more than a glass but I am still amazed that there are that many wines made from non-grape fruits. I think it will be an even better place to visit once they are able to sell wine by the glass. Again, I wasn't ready to commit to being able to drink a bottle of the wine since it was sweet but would definitely come in for a glass. The location is super cute & full of bright colors. The also sell smoothies & we sampled two of the flavors while here- they are designed to be made with wine mixed in so that will be a great feature too once wine can be sold by the glass. We left with a bottle of the orange cream smoothie mix & I cant wait to try this at home! Thank you for a fun experience during our visit!
