Tile was installed cracked, with no grout. Shower never worked for the first 3 months I was in the place. High crime rate, large drug and addict population in neighborhood. ALWAYS unsupervised children running free in the building. Back door broken and free for anyone to enter the building. NOT A RECOMMENDED PLACE TO LIVE.

I wish I could give a minus 10 but had to give 1 star. I have been locked out 2 times already in a…read moreheatwave for 1 hour the first time and 30 mins the second time because our FOBs don't work after them apparently fixing them. All they did was mess it up. The intercom system doesn't work either so Canada Post cannot ring your buzzer for packages and you can't buzz people in either. I tried to call the building manager/landlord to get someone to open the door for me but noone EVER answers. When I first moved in, there was a crawling ant problem. Now there is also a flying ant problem. The solution for the any issue was their employee coming over to give me a bottle of bedbug powder..And speaking of bedbugs, when i swept up the first time here, I saw about 10 shells of them in my dustpan. The hallways have a disgusting stench and the doors to the empty apartments are getting kicked in on a nightly basis. My door also looks like it was pryed open with something before. Drug addicts are always outside the front door waiting for their dealers looking sketchy af. That's the least of my problems though. I would NOT wish this on my worst enemy, like the above poster stated. I cannot wait to finally have enough money saved up to move. OH, and I forgot to mention the issues I had trying to MOVE IN! I read the ad and it stated move in IMMEDIATELY. And this was what I was looking for because I was in an abusive relationship. I was told June 5th when it was a still in May, it then turned to the 15th, and then the 22nd. THEN, it turned into July 1st, but that was a holiday. So i didn't end up moving in until July 5th, 30 days after I was led to believe. They kept putting off showing me the apartment as well, probably fumigating the place from the bedbug infestation before they let me see it. The camera system in the building don't work either. They just sit there with fake unlit lightbulbs. They don't even move and they are supposed to move with movement. They are as fake as the people who run these properties. Please, for your own sake and sanity, DO NOT MOVE HERE.

Best renting experience I've ever had! Moved in last year and plan to stay until we move into a…read morehouse. My fiancé and I rent a two bedroom with balcony. It was renovated just before we moved in. Coin laundry down the hall. We've never had an issue with noise or neighbors. The landlords are pleasant to deal with and all seem to care about the tenants. They also allow cats which is a huge plus. The have to be fixed and you have to sign a additional form for them. Water and heat are included- heat gets turned on when the cold weather starts so if you get a chill in September you have either buy a space heater or bundle up.

The staff here are very nice and handle requests in a timely matter. Our apartment was updated for us before moving in (new flooring, closet doors, stove, paint) and we had no issues moving in. Our rent is month to month at no extra cost, and the rent price is quite reasonable for 2 bedrooms, balcony, 3 appliances, and heat/water included. So far, we have had no issues with other tenants (noise etc) and the laundry facilities are much much better than Killam (they work! and are only 1.25 wash and 1.50 dry). We do hear occasional noise from the tenants above us, but nothing more than what is normal (walking, vacumming). And from what we are told, they don't put up with noisy tenants. The location is also pretty convinient, close to the bridges and ferry. The only complaint that we have is the parking is not the best (at least out front) - good luck finding a spot after 8pm and the spots are quite small so parking is tight, and a few tenants really do not know how to park. I reccomend avoiding the big name apartment brands (Killam for example) because they don't care about their tenants - Harbour Shore is local to Dartmouth and they care about their tenants, which is why many people here have been here for awhile. Check it out if you are looking for a place in Dartmouth (1 or 2 bedroom).

Now, I know how the housing market is right now, and I know it's normal for companies to not contact people when they don't accept them, but if taking literally two minutes to email or call someone is that hard, maybe pay someone to update your website. Instead of sending everyone who fills out an application a message saying they will "contact them soon", maybe change it to, "if you are accepted we will contact you soon"? This is the first time I have ever gotten a message saying I will be contacted soon after filling out an application so I indeed expect to be, you know, contacted soon like I was literally told. 0/10 edit: after reading other reviews, wow am I lucky I wasnt called back. 0/100

Been living in this apartment for almost 4 years now and as someone who is a night worker and has…read moreto be up during the night this apartment tends to be the absolute worst; apart from the some-what affordable rent ( if you wanna call 700$ to now 800$ worth for an incredibly outdated building. ) There is no sound proofing of any sort so even the slightest noise can be heard if you're on the same floor. The landlord that has now begun working in the apartment is almost non-existent until she thinks she can come tough-guy you and yell for absolutely no reason, hardly seems to communicate unless like mentioned before it has her yelling in your face. I've had to report them a few times to the management at Twin City but they don't care and have just taken my money without a second thought. I've seen some reviews say that the laundry is fine or great which is baffling to me since they're dirty and really not worth the money - you're better off going to the laundry matt. Though the good about this place is that it is quiet for the most part, but that seems to be due to either most people being gone or like myself have had to adapt to being as quiet as possible to not disturb anyone else or bring forth the inner Karen of the landlord. If you can keep to yourself and need a decently priced place and just need a place to keep a roof over your head it's fine, but don't expect to live a comfortable and enjoyable life there - Especially after the COVID-19 pandemic it's more of a tomb than an apartment.
