I see Dr Koh for acupuncture and she is wonderful. Very caring and she listens to your concern. In the past, I dislike needles so she usually uses baby needles or does more cupping on me. Now I still dislike needles but can tolerate them more, so I think she uses the regular needles on me now. Besides just cupping and acupuncture, she is a TCM, so she also takes my pulse to check how my organs/body are doing. He did some massage, and we mostly worked on teaching me simple exercises to get me back in shape for hiking. I've seen him half a dozen or more times over a period of months, each time given exercises that were targeted to where I had progressed to at that time. I just told him I felt ready to go back to hiking, and he suggested three exercises I can do for "maintenance" (my term). I would happily go to him again for help with any pain or body problem. He's very professional, pleasant, and helpful. P.S. My wife has benefited from his physical therapy before I first say him, and she recommended him to me. A different physical therapist (at a different place) had given her exercises that caused her greater pain and disability. Alex gave her a new, different diagnosis and exercises, and she soon was greatly improved.

The first appointment which is the assessment was invaluable for me in getting a proper diagnosis and prognosis. Now I'm on a treatment plan and we've set some goals to reach for which is always a good strategy. I feel very fortunate to have found this clinic and Dr. Alfredo after my previous chiropractor retired. I have been to several chiropractors over three decades, and Dr. Alfredo stands out as the best of all of them! He is an excellent chiropractor with a high level of skill and professionalism, and he immediately understood my condition and the precise amount of adjusting force required to correct it. Other practitioners have tended to use too much force when adjusting my small frame the first time, often leaving me quite sore, but I am very happy with the treatments I have received from Dr. Alfredo, which we very comfortable and have completely alleviated my symptoms. One of the best things about this practice is the fact that they have the ability to do x-rays in the office, which is unusual in my experience, and greatly appreciated, because it saved me a trip to get the x-rays done at another facility. I also find their fees to be quite reasonable. The only downside to the would be the cost of parking at the Bentall Centre, which can be a few dollars to over $15 depending on the length of the appointment. It would be nice if parking validations or at least a discount of some sort were provided for those patients for whom parking costs would be a burden.
