I do not write Yelp reviews, but this is one where I feel I must…read more I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Lydia and T, the power duo behind Mountain Magic Media. They went so far above and beyond for me and my now fiancée that I don't even know if this review will do them justice. If you're considering them for your proposal, engagement or any other special occasion, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Just for context, I am an EXTREMELY meticulous and picky person, especially when it comes to a once in a lifetime proposal. I probably spent more time researching photographers than any reasonable person should. These photos are a meaningful investment, and I wanted to make absolutely sure I chose the right people. I went through countless portfolios, researched photographers all over Colorado and exchanged a ton of emails with different teams. After all that diligence, I was confident Lydia and T were the best choice. Looking back, I could not be happier. As incredible as their photography is (and the photos speak for themselves), what makes Lydia and T so special is the care, thoughtfulness and attention to detail they put into the entire experience. I am someone who asks a LOT of questions and likes to think through every little detail. But not once did they make me feel like I was asking too much. They were incredibly patient, responsive and thoughtful throughout the process. They listened carefully to what mattered to me and helped me think through things I would never have considered on my own. And when I say they helped with everything, I mean EVERYTHING. From coordinating logistics to offering recommendations that had nothing to do with photography, they were there every step of the way. They knew the locations, understood the timing, anticipated potential issues and constantly thought about how to make the experience as magical as possible. It truly felt like they cared about our proposal just as much as I did. One example captures the kind of people they are: the night before my proposal, I realized I had forgotten something important and found myself in an emergency. I reached out, and the very next morning, before the proposal, they came to my rescue. They didn't have to do that, and they didn't ask for anything in return. They simply wanted to help. I cannot overstate how much that meant to me, especially given how nervous I already was. The actual proposal day was everything I could have hoped for and more. They had clearly thought through every detail, but what I appreciated just as much was how they gave us the space to actually enjoy the moment. They struck the perfect balance between capturing everything and allowing us to have a genuinely intimate, personal experience. Nothing felt forced. We could be completely present with each other. The photos themselves are absolutely stunning. They captured the scenery, emotions, candid moments and everything that made those days so special. My fiancée and I could not be happier and our families and friends have been blown away. In fact, we were so impressed that we decided to do another day of engagement photos with them in a different city. We also added videography and drone footage because we had so much confidence in Lydia and T's work. Another thing I appreciated was how receptive they were to feedback. Everyone has different preferences, and Lydia and T genuinely listen. They never tried to force us into a particular style. They understood our vision and worked with us to make sure the final product reflected what we wanted. Above all, I want to emphasize what wonderful human beings they are. There are plenty of talented photographers, but finding people who are also so genuinely kind, generous, patient and personally invested in their clients is much harder. Lydia and T made us feel like our engagement was just as special to them as it was to us - and I mean that. If I could offer one piece of advice to future couples, it would be this: don't underestimate how important the people behind the camera are. Superstar team.

They helped point him in the right direction including the best locations for the proposal, dropped pins on where the location was and provided example photos of the view. They were there through every step of the planning process with him so he knew exactly where to be come game time. During the actual proposal, Lydia & T did a great job of capturing every moment while also making us feel like it was just the two of us. I didn't even realize they were there until after the proposal. After the fact, they had champagne flutes ready for us and more. I was in complete shock after the proposal but they helped guide us with where to take photos, how to pose, ring pictures and even got some action shots skiing. The whole proposal itself was just a whirlwind so it was amazing having them both there to guide us. We were very excited to get our photos back and it was safe to say they far exceeded our expectations! We can't stop staring at them! They truly made our families feel like they were there with us and allow us to relive our engagement every day. Simply cannot recommend them enough!!

Working with Abby was an absolute pleasure!!…read more I was searching for a photographer while on a roadtrip this summer and was having a hard time finding the right one. My husband and I eloped and wanted to do a simple wedding photo shoot. I was lucky enough to find Abby on yelp and after checking out her website I knew she could take incredible outdoor photos, which was perfect for our shoot at Garden of the Gods. She answered my emails right away and I could tell she was enthusiastic about being our photographer. She made the entire process simple and enjoyable. She was quick to respond, offered extremely fair pricing, and was open to ideas and requests. We loved Abby as soon as we met her, she has great energy and was fun to hang out with. She had creative ideas for backgrounds and poses and the photos turned out better than I ever imagined. She was really fast at getting our pictures back to us too. The day of she had a handful of quick edits that she sent via text and in less than a week I had my full gallery, which I can easily access from her website. I would recommend Abby to anyone looking for a photographer for their special occasion. She's amazing!!!

Abby is a nice person and a real gem of a photographer!…read more This was my first time choosing a photographer, and I feel very lucky to have found her. I wanted to do a family photo session (including our dog Luna) in Garden of the Gods, and it not only was a special and pleasant experience, the photos look amazing! She captured the grand but natural aesthetic that I wanted - I love the photos. She guided me throughout the entire process: provided me with samples in the location; picked out a uniquely perfect spot for the session; prompted us to take natural poses/smiles (we were all really enjoying the session so this was easy); and she was very accommodating to my requests, as I needed to have professional headshots done as well and ready by a certain deadline. I would highly recommend Abby!
