From my initial interaction with Martha until the tables were picked up everything was amazing. Martha was part of the delivery team. She was very nice and made sure everything was perfect before they left. The tables are beautiful. I liked the fact, we didn't need tablecloths. The tables were beautiful with just table runners and flowers. Price was fair. Delivery was right on time. We scheduled pick up first thing in the morning the following day and when we woke up they'd come and gone and we never heard a thing. Multiple guests commented on how beautiful the tables were. Please read the other review of a bride that shared her experience regarding COVID-19 cancellations. This business may be great when things are running smoothly but in times of difficulty, their customer service is lacking and they can't be trusted to do the right thing. We originally booked with Cedar & Pine for our wedding in June 2020. Due to the pandemic, we were forced to postpone our wedding to September 2020. Cedar & Pine was able to our accommodate our new date so all was good. Unfortunately, receptions are still not allowed so we made the difficult decision to cancel our wedding. Cedar & Pine will not refund our deposit even though no services have been rendered and we have not cost them anything in terms of opportunity (keep in mind, receptions and events are still illegal). They insisted that the deposit was not refundable but they would transfer the deposit to a new order of equal or greater value. I'm a reasonable person and willing to be flexible with vendors, especially since so many have taken a financial hit due to the pandemic. I would take the transfer less the minimum order requirement given that the world is so uncertain right now and we're not sure what our future wedding will look like but they refused and were inflexible. Their terse communication and lack of flexibility has turned me off from doing business with them entirely. Times of difficulty are an opportunity for businesses to shine. We have received much more reasonable and understanding responses from our other vendors. Cedar & Pine was a stark contrast both in attitude and lack of flexibility. In these uncertain times, I do not recommend. Updated: Hi Martha, you did not try to give us alternatives. We were willing to work with you and you were rude and inflexible over email. i wanted my wedding to be like a family reunion, very casual and laid back, and fun! we decided to rent lawn games for our wedding and went with mega jenga, giant connect 4, and corn hole. they had several different packages to choose from and their prices were very reasonable. since we didn't rent enough items from them, we didn't meet the minimum requirement for delivery, so two days before our wedding we drove up to pick up our items. martha was excellent with communication and sent me detailed instructions for picking up our items and dropping them off afterwards. it was pretty easy to do and only about 30 minutes from la jolla. our games were a success and a bit hit at our wedding, especially with the kids! everything was great quality and i was very happy with my experience here. read more
