Went there for the immigration Form I-693 vaccines and the receptionist said "you need another…read morephysical examination". WRONG!!! The instructions clearly state that if you've had a health exam during the past year, you DO NOT need another one - just the vaccines and parts 1, 2, 4 & 7 of Form I-693. She knew that the required vaccines for a 48 year old person are MMR and Tdap (or Td). A flu shot is only required during flu season and varicella is not required if you had the illness (varicella history). The cost quoted for those 2 vaccines was $180. Got them somewhere else for $127.

Why can't I find a good primary?…read more First of all, I didn't even think I was going to get to see the doctor. Apparently, there was a mixup and my insurance had to verify whether or not they were still in business, which clearly they were. However, it was a bit scary to find out that in February they filed for termination of practice. Then in May they became active again. Upon hearing this from my insurance company, I didn't even know whether or not I wanted to continue my care in this place. Finally, I get in, and like all doctors (yes, Gina) they make you wait...and wait...and wait. So the doctor comes in and introduces the 3rd year medical student that's interning at the practice. Ah...then I find out the guy is RUDE!!! He lectures me about, well, everything. He thinks I may have severe allergy attacks because of my cats, though I clearly state that I am getting these attacks at work. Then he goes on to say that cats are the worst animals you can have as pets and how I might have to make some "tough decisions" when it comes to them. He also asks me how "attached" I am to my pets. Look mister, I've had pets my whole life and I'm not getting rid of them. Now gimme some drugs!! He also probes me about my choice of birth control. WTF? Isn't that my gyno's job? He says that if it causes me to gain weight I might have to switch and I probably won't be able to switch to the pill so I'm f_ _ _ _ d. Again, who the hell are you? I thought I already had a gyno. Then he talks to me about diet and exercise. And he asks me about my caffeine use and how it was better to switch to decaf. WHAT???? The mere thought of decaf...UGH!! He also proceeds to tell me that "some people deserve to have diseases" because of all the pills they take. I asked "Hypochondriac?", to which he responded "No. They should actually have illnesses". He tells me about a patient in the next room and her "condition" which was more of a psychological issue. HIPPA issues guy. You're not supposed to be saying all of that to anyone, especially a new patient. I think I'll be seeing someone else from now on thank you!

Dr. Jordan is a trauma orthopedist and this was a communited fracture. Appointment time was 9:30. At 11:45 we left after being told that the waiting proom INSIDE Still had 7 unseen people with the same appointment time with the same doctor. I realize appointments frequently take longer than expected and running late is not uncommon. I think we should have been told at 9:30 that we were facing at least 4 hours in the waiting room. Rescheduled for next week but I am gonna try to set up up an appointment with doctor I've been to. This was not an auspicious start. If we do keep next week's appointment, I would hope to write a much more favorable review. xo-a
