Took my vehicle in for service. This dealer performed the work well and on time. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Brought truck on Monday to dealer to have some warranty work done from a previous dealer. Oil pan gasket was leaking again. In order to fix the transmission and transfer case had to be removed of my truck. Had the truck for a week and tried keeping for a extra day "to test drive and check for leaks again" picked up truck instead of leaving it with them, drove 30 miles home and the truck smelt like transmission fluid. Found fluid all under and around back of truck, upon looking under I found the transmission was dumping out fluid. Called dealer in the morning about issue and was told they couldn't bring a tow truck to get my truck, and said "we will send a tech to drive truck back to dealer (30 miles away while leaking fluid) and that's what they did. Got a call saying they found the issue, and it was the rear tail house of transmission that wasn't tightened up properly by the tech, then continued to try and tell me that they fixed it even thought it wasn't caused by them. Yet they are the ones who pulled it apart and pulled the transmission. They called me and said it was good and not leaking anymore. I then asked if they would pressure wash and clean the truck due to it being covered in transmission fluid. They said "we cleaned it the best we could." Then they brought the truck back to my house and when I went to look at it, the undercarriage was still covered in transmission fluid, and hadn't been cleaned at all. Had to go spend $45 of my own money to clean the undercarriage at the car wash. I am not happy at all with the service or the fact they tried to tell me that it wasn't them who caused the issues. We will see how long it last and hopefully it doesn't start to have any issues due to them driving it home while leaking. I know we are all humans and we make mistakes, but don't try and say that it wasn't your tech who caused the issue. read more

Every Ford dealership in the area has bad reviews for service so I was more than pleasantly surprised with the service here! My advisor, Scott, was new on the job, just over a week, but was in constant communication with me to let me know the progress of my vehicle. The waiting room was cool and well stocked and offered free WiFi. Every employee that walked by greeted me and I had a friendly conversation with Lorraine. The Hondo Ford appears to have upped their game! If you had a bad experience in the past, give them an opportunity to make it right. read more

I bought a 2019 ram truck on April 11th. The truck was listed at $47,990 I drove there after talking to the sales manager ROY. By the time I got there (1hour drive from my house) they marked up the to $49,999 he agreed that he would meet us in the middle at $49,000. The truck was getting some "recall work" done at the Cecil dodge in UVALDE, so we drove there to see it. My husband and I looked at the truck an noted the minor scratches (We know the shady dealership game). We drove back to Hondo to sign papers and by this time ROY marked up the truck to $51,999. They raised the price on my by $4,000 after I drove all over central Texas trying to look at it before I bought it. Fast forward we received the truck April 28th from the dealership, 17 days after we purchased it. It was delivered filthy, with major dents and 6 inch scratches on both sides of the cab from when they put the cab back onto the bed, after the "recall work." The delivery guy left his trash in our new truck, and the interior had oil spots on the seats. We checked this truck out for all of these issues prior to purchase and they were not present. This happed in the dealerships possession, under our ownership. ....Scott the general manager buffed out one scratch and pulled the dents but never fixed the paint from the 2 six inch scratches due to the bed. Also the interior was still a mess when we received it for the second time on May 14th, 33 days post purchase. I will never purchase from this dealer group again and will be seeking further compensation for the $4,000 bid we have received on paint correction due to their mistake and lack of care. read more

Very unsettling experience with the parts department. I went in and ordered an injector for my truck. when the part came in they told me it was going to be 300 dollars. called me back 20 minutes later and said they made a mistake the injector is actually 650 dollars. when my husband called they told him it is what it is, and then called him back again saying the part is 300. We will not ever be going to them again to order parts. Chaparral came in at about half the cost that they were trying to charge. read more

I took my F250 truck in September 2022 to get pcm programmed because truck wouldn't start. The service tech said it would cost $250. They had it almost 4 months. Couldn't figure it out they said parts that didn't belong on a F250. Would not tell us anything. Tried to call several timmes everytime I called he was never available and would not return our calls. They claim they two certified techs work on it but couldnt figure it out. Charged us $660 and still doesn't run. Would not recommend this service center to anyone read more

James, Mondo, and the entire staff are very hospitable, friendly, professional, and go the extra mile to take care of your service needs. I took my 2020 F250 in for a recall and was in and out within an hour. I had 2 other issues and they worked with me to explain and let me out in the shop so Mondo the tech could explain and look into the issues in their computer system. Stop by and talk to the folks here for service needs or even if it's just and oil change. read more

The customer service is abysmal. I have a friend who worked day and night to improve the dealership, he got covid-19 and informed his managers immediately who disregarded him and fired him on the basis of assuming he quit while waiting for his results, which he informed them about. His managers then proceeded to block him on any means of contacting them. Very unprofessional handling of this situation and handling of customer situations as well. read more

This place is no good. I wouldn't say anything bad about this place but there liars. We went in for a truck they said well you have to get this used car to establish credit with us. And this big guy named Mike said if you get this car make your payments on time for 18 months you can trade it in for a truck. Well this fish bit that hook line a sinker 18 months later. Came in to decide among 2 or 3 new vehicles. The one I decided on needed a tweak, the dealership went the extra mile to trade another dealership for that car, but before it happened, they suggested I consider a freshly traded, gently used luxurious vehicle with low miles that ended up fitting my needs best--surprisingly. They sacrificed a new car sale, but kept a lifelong client. I always feel they look out for me like they would for family. This is my 4th car purchase at this dealership. Drove an hour to look at a car and the car was not there when we arrived. We had called them before to confirm it was there and they said it was. We talked to the manager for a couple minutes and he knew we were very upset as we had taken off work and brought our kids all that way. They persuaded me to sign the contract even though the car was not ready, they told me the next day the car will be ready. Four days later the car was still not ready!, I went into the dealer and asked the general manager Jay Gonzalez, to unwind me from the contract. And he yelled at me he was upset, and very sarcastic for losing the sale. I tried to speak to his boss Scott Barlow and he was so controlling about the deal, the general manager Scott Barlow threatened to arrest me and he threw me out of the dealer, he did not care to look over my interest or my experiences as a buyer. He humiliated me and my family he even called the police. I walked out of there in tears, with a contract of 60 months $5000 less and without the car. All because Scott Barlow thinks that by having a constable badge and being the General manager he could take advantage and do whatever he wants. This place is AWEFUL!!! The sales manager is DECIETFUL and greedy. We had a great salesman but it seems that after the contract was signed, all of the extras we were promised suddenly disappeared. The sales manager said that after the contract was signed, ANYTHING the salesman said meant NOTHING. After that, they took us for close to SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS to return a truck within 48 hours of the purchase. DO NOT SHOP HERE. IF TEXAS IS LUCKY, year 111will be their final year. read more

They use a very deceptive add mailing to get people to drive from all over the state to visit their showroom under the pretense that they've won $1,500 when actually all they've one is a chance to spin a wheel for $1 to $500 worth of prizes. They say their advertising is legal, but nowhere on the mailer does it say you may not have actually won the prize that you scratched off. And to think, they acted very surprised when I and another customer where not happy with this tactic. If they are this deceptive in their advertising, just think how deceptive they might be with their Sales Deals. read more
