Summary - they don't care about their residents or the well-being of their staff.
Details: Hold onto your hats.
I started in April '25 as a caregiver on 3rd shift. I was to be sharing responsibilities with another staff member on 3rd. Within a week/2 of hiring me, they fired the other 3rd shifter and the responsibilities of the whole week fell on me. (When I started this was a part time, to maybe full time, gig. Gradually). My first pay check was an incorrect hourly amount and I was never even informed that my pay check was available and in an UNLOCKED drawer in the UNLOCKED kitchen (apparently where everyone gets paid). Because of this, I received my first and second paycheck at the same time, and BOTH had the incorrect hourly rates. On my third AND fourth check, the hourly rates were correct but the OT was not. After talking to other staff members, it sounds like this place has a really hard time paying out OT or Holiday pay for some reason. In the midst of all of this, I am seeing residents not being cared for (my "training" for caregiving didn't even include wiping a resident after assisting them in toileting. I have seen staff members put soiled depends on residents; to which I corrected because WHAT THE ****?? - when it is brought up to management they'll "have a talk" with whoever but nothing ever happens). Four checks in, and now 14 days nonstop work (remember they fired the other 3rd shifter and even with some coverage I'm working every weekend), and I am demanding my OT that was not paid for for A MONTH now (checks are bi-weekly) and a weekend off because I need to see my kids! MICHAEL POSTON ("boss" if you can use that word) grants me the weekend off, AGREES. Then when I ask for my OT AGAIN, before I am back from my weekend off, fires me, via text mind you. When I ask why, he said my inability to keep a schedule. Which I find hilarious since I picked up the slack of y'all firing the last 3rd shifter with literally no warning or notice - the only reason I had any weekends off was because I essentially had to demand it.
This place is an actual joke. The young kids that work there are only there because mom works there and they get an "easy" check. The other full timers there that seem like adults just do the bare minimum.
While I was there I re-wrote the 3rd shift training and duties sheet, I informed others of things we could be doing to help residents and I encouraged others to speak up against Michael since every time his name was brought up, staff was NOT happy with him.
I believe I was let go because I sincerely wanted to make this a better work environment.
