Airbus
Edwin R.

The last time I flew Cebu Pacific was when I took a vacation to Boracay Island, Philippines. The plane we flew in was a small puddle jumper. This time around, Cebu Pacific upgraded almost all their fleets to Airbus 320 which my experience was night and day, better! I was told most of their new fleets are about five years old. Their service have greatly improved. Our flight was delayed, but we managed to land to Manila only 10 minutes behind schedule. Since it was only an hour and a half flight from Cebu, I didn't bother buying meals online in advanced or on board. Instead, I purchased food at the airport and munch them during our flight. If you've never flown Cebu Pacific, here's a quick tip: 1. Book online! Trust me, it's so easy and a better experience. Also, keep in mind everything in Cebu Pacific is "A La Carte." 2. Buy your luggage check-in and meals (optional) in advanced online because you will save money and time at the airport. 3. If you want to save a little money, don't pay to select your seats online. That is an added fee. Instead, have the staff at airport select your seats. Savings is somewhere around $20 per ticket which could be less, could be more depending on your destination. 4. Finally, download their app because it will give you real time information of any delays or especially, gate changes 5. If you're traveling domestic via Philippines, get to the airport early at least 2.5 hours ahead. Traffic is unpredictable. 6. "VERY IMPORTANT!" Once you get to the airport, ask the officers outside and let them know your departure time because there are several door entry for security check. Some lines are shorter, and those lines are usually the line you want to be in especially if you are running behind schedule and need to get to your gate fast. I would also suggest downloading "Trip Case." It works seamlessly with most airlines and airports and has real-time notifications. I used it all the time when I traveled for work weekly, and used it in my last trip from SFO to Cebu/Manila. BTW, if you're a big fan of Cinnabon like me, they have them at Cebu and Manila airports both domestic and international. Cheers!

Thank you Cebu Pac for the Ride

Philippine Airlines - 01.10.24 early domestic flight from CEB to USU

Philippine Airlines

Domestic Flight: CEB to USU…read more I guess I'm fortunate that all went well with our experience with PAL despite their reputation of excessive flight delays and sometimes even flight cancellations so I have no complaints. In total there are only two airlines operating nonstop flights from Cebu to Busuanga/Coron. This is the first time we've used Philippine Airlines for our inter-island domestic flights. We flew Philippine Airlines from Cebu to Palawan in Busuanga. We took the first flight out, an early flight that departs at 7:30a. Our flight left on time, no delays. Flight time was about 1-hr, 5 mins. Check in free baggage allowance is up to 70-lbs. my sister did all the booking, didn't sound like she had any issues with it. Review #3354

This review is based on our experience flying from Cebu to Bacolod…read more I really didn't expect much because I have plenty of runs with PAL (LAX-MNL-LAX) and the overall experience is mediocre at best. Plus it's a short flight (less than an hour) so my overall expectation was on the "meh" level. But I will admit that I stand corrected. The check-in process was so easy, albeit our party of 10. They even secured/taped the zippers (to avoid snags anywhere), xray screening was easy and most important: the flight was on time! (Most people will attest that this is a rare feat for PAL.) Since it was a short flight, I didn't expect a snack service. I was wrong, once again! Sure, it's a smaller plane with less flyers, but they were still able to serve bottled water and a snack. (This is a plus since other airlines only provide drinks/food for purchase.) The only issue: not a lot of leg room. Barely had enough room once I brought the table down. It's a good thing it's a less-than-an-hour flight! I was surprised (more like delighted) that baggage claim was quick and easy. We were outta there in no time! So, yeah, a good run it is! There are other airlines to consider for domestic flights, but PAL may have just made it to my top 3.
