It wasn't until the train started moving when I realised I had left my backpack on the bus in Ballarat. It had my money, my tablet and my medication in it, so you imagine the panic I was in. So of course I rang the bus company straight away and spoke to a guy by the name of Bill. He wasn't too reassuring, saying the bus I was on may not get back to the depot until 10pm that night.
He asked me what bus I was on, but not being local I couldn't tell him. So he asked me for the number on the back of my Myki card, and with that he was able to track down which bus I was on.
Bill rang me back within two hours to say he has my backpack there at the bus depot. I can't tell you how much I was relieved. And nothing was missing. read more
