The technician had problems installing it and it has always made a scary POP when I use the door. Being a busy single mom, I just didn't open that door and moved into winter. I opened it this spring and the opener broke my garage door. I should have called sooner but I thought there was a warranty on the work and that the company would stand behind it. Several hundred dollars down the drain, I wanted them just to take the opener with them. Frustrated.

With the rollers and spring replaced, we had a new garage door opener system installed four days later and we were set. They are really good about keeping in touch with what is going on and called before two of the appointments to see if we were home as they were running AHEAD of schedule. Great service! Hoping we won't need to call them any time soon, but when we next need garage door service, we'll be calling Ace!

I rarely write reviews at all, but I felt compelled to write one for Summit Garage doors. I…read morerecently had the cables on my garage door come undone at one of my rental properties. I called and was able to schedule service within 24 hours. They identified that the cable issues resulted directly from a spring replacement job done poorly a few months prior (Different garage repair company). The previous company had also left other parts of the job incomplete. Summit was able to offer a low-cost solution for repairing it. After beginning on repairs, another issue was discovered that would require more significant repairs. Summit offered to fix it up to the point where it could potentially last for years to come (although no guarantee) for no charge at all. This company cares about helping people first and foremost. Most companies would only propose options in which charging for repairs is necessary, even when simpler/cheaper fixes are available. The customer service I experienced was world class, and I would encourage anyone with issues reach out to this company!

I have written a few negative reviews for products and services I have received, but this is a…read morepositive review for the best service I have ever experienced. Matt Hanks, the owner of Summit Garage Doors, installed springs on my garage door over three years ago. Recently, the springs broke, so I contacted one of the large commercial firms to obtain a quote. Their estimate for replacing the two springs was $1,600. I then called Matt, who came to assess my situation. Although the springs were out of the standard warranty period, Matt believed they had broken prematurely. He replaced both springs at no cost to me and even declined to accept a tip. I asked him how much he would have charged me if this had been a first-time service call, and he informed me it would have been about $400. The difference between Summit Garage Doors and the competition is that Matt operates from his home, while competitors drive trucks adorned with graphics and provide their employees with uniforms. As a result, Matt's operating costs are significantly lower. I highly recommend giving him a call for any garage door needs. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere…read more I've been a repeat customer for years and was seriously considering spending $4,000 on a new garage door with this company. Thankfully, I saw how they operate before moving forward. I asked for pricing upfront before scheduling help to connect my WiFi. They did not disclose the cost. After the visit, I was charged $99 for what amounted to pressing a button--something that took seconds and required no real service. Charging customers without clearly disclosing pricing beforehand is unacceptable. It feels misleading and shows a lack of transparency. This experience completely broke my trust. If this is how they handle a simple service call, I have no confidence in how they would handle larger, more expensive work. I will not be using them again, and I would caution others to get clear, written pricing before agreeing to any service.

SCAM ALERT…read more Run--don't walk--away from this outfit. Collapsed in Kansas and Missouri for a reason. Predatory. Dishonest. Our case: the builder is contractually required to fix defects in the first year. We followed the process. They stalled, dodged, and flat-out ignored it. The damage: * Flooring: Broken, shifting LVP in kitchen and garage entry. * Bathroom: Tiles cracking and moving from sloppy install. * HVAC: Undersized by 50-65% (verified by manual J) despite installer claims. * Garage Door: Painted and sticking, weather trim botched. * Sliding Door: Missing promised screen, misaligned, jams in cold weather. Their tactic: hide behind disposable staff who deflect until you give up--classic bad-faith play. Bottom line: Buy from them and you'll be paying for their failures yourself like us.
