Like father like son, Randy is the 5th generation expert in tiling, grout services and installations. I called late on a Friday and left a message but Randy called me in less than 30 minutes. I needed a shower re-grouted and sealed. We exchanged my needs, his proposal and he said he'd have a man there Monday morning. Monday Leo arrived on the hour and had everything he needed when I met him at the door. While there Leo pointed out small cracks and seams I had never noticed. As he walked out he described the proper maintenance cycle to optimize grout life. I settled the bill with Zelle. I don't know how old Randy is but I'm over 70. Hoping Wilshire Tile will BE HERE FOR ME AT LEAST UNTIL I'M 100!

After a brief back and forth, Randy came over to my house to assess the work I needed done on…read moreexisting tile. The tile in one bathroom was discolored, and he said it could be cleaned and sealed, and we needed tile flooring in our other bathroom replaced. Randy was friendly and approachable, and I planned to see how the smaller project went before hiring him for the larger project we needed tackled. Unfortunately, the experience was awful. A subcontractor/employee showed up on the agreed date to clean and seal the tile, and spent a couple of hours what sounded like physically scraping the tile - not what I expected. His coworker showed up a couple hours later, and told me that this plan was not going to work - that even if they could get the tile clean and seal it, the staining would come right back. He told me to have them leave, because Randy would still charge me for them being there. I went in the bathroom after they left, and it literally looked no different except there was dust everywhere - they did not clean up. I waited for a follow-up call or email from Randy - nothing. I was mad, but decided to put it behind me. A week later, I received a bill. I wrote a very frank email to Randy explaining my disappointment with the workers sent, the fact that no work was even done, and my confusion that he didn't even bother contacting me afterward. He apologized profusely and said he would follow up with me the next day. He did not follow up with me about the work, ever. But I have still been getting bills from this company!! I have emailed him multiple times, and he's told me to ignore them, but that is not an acceptable response - every time I see one of these emails, I am newly angry about the time I wasted on this endeavor. I gave him plenty of time and opportunity to make this right, and he did not even bother to try. I am writing this review because once again, I have gotten an invoice for this "work". Would not recommend.

Once the plumbing was finished, we hired MZ Drywall to handle the repairs and painting. Marek, the owner, was easy to communicate with and understood the importance of completing the project in a timely manner since our tenants had been temporarily relocated. The work was scheduled and finished in a timely manner, and Marek personally stopped by the job site every morning to check on progress and answer any questions we had. We are happy with the quality of the drywall repairs. The patched areas blend in well, and it's difficult to tell where the walls and ceiling had been opened. Throughout the project, Marek and his team were professional, reliable, and easy to work with. We had a positive experience and would hire MZ Drywall again for future projects. We recommend them to anyone looking for drywall repair and painting services.

I researched deep cleaning services to clean for selling the mess of a house I'd lived in for forty…read moreyears. Accumulated dirt and dust had to be cleaned as well as the dust, paint chips, dirty windows and other debris from the remodeling. Potential buyers would look closely so I had to be sure the big and little stuff looked good. I got references who affirmed that Magdalena and her crew cared about what they did and it showed in their work. I took the chance with Emely Cleaning Service despite having only one reference that called back. I decided against another company who had cleaned the home we just moved into. They did an excellent job but quoted for the house I am selling at three times the Emely quote. The risk paid off. They did a great job. Magdalena showed great pride in her work; her assistants clearly enjoyed working on her crew and also took pride in their work. All were with the company for many years. Their attitude and work ethic is what was behind their performance.

AR Painting did some stucco repairs around the perimeter of our house. We had some stucco cracking…read moreand peeling off about a foor or so off the ground in various areas, and there were also cracks in the stucco higher up. AR Painting repaired these areas expertly. They also repaired the trim around our garage door and repaired the footings on either side of the door. These areas look like new now. Finally, they also stripped and repainted our front porch concrete steps and landing, and used special paint with sand in it so it will not be slippery when wet. I had grip tape on it previously which is now no longer necessary. The porch came out beautifully, and I am extremely happy with their work! They were very timely, here on time (or early) each day, and finished the job in about 3 1/2 days, which is exactly what Andres (the business owner) quoted me. The thing that really sold me on hiring AR Painting was their highly detailed estimate. I used to work in contracts and understand how important it is to get the details right. The statement of work was highly detailed, and outlined exactly the steps they would take for all of the repairs, with a detailed cost breakdown for each task. Other businesses just gave me a blanket number and a brief paragraph describing the work, but AR Painting's estimate really knocked it out of the park with the detailed work statement and cost breakdown. Their estimate was four pages compared to other businesses providing only half a page. Another detail that sold me was their statement that they would use 2 coats of paint in their repairs, vs. others quoting just 1. AR Painting is highly professional, does excellent work with competitive pricing, and performs exactly per their statement of work. Very pleased with their work and will definitely hire them again. Highly recommended!!!

The outcome was exactly what we wanted. We had a great experience with Darren from start to finish. He and his team are excellent communicators, they were always responsive and quickly resolved any and every issue that arose throughout the process. His plaster and painting crews were punctual, expertly skilled, and a pleasure to share our space with. Construction is messy by nature, and we appreciated that our job site was left as clean as possible at the end of each day and at the end of the project. We also really appreciated that the rate of progress never stalled or slowed, the teams showed up every day and worked to get the job done on schedule. One of the main reasons our project turned out beautifully is because Darren is willing and eager to make sure the end result is perfect. Whenever there was something I wanted fixed or smoothed he got it done right away. He treated our home like it was his own. Highly recommend!

However, within a short time, the grout no longer appeared clean. This was surprising, especially since there are only two of us in the home, we have very light foot traffic, and I am careful about maintenance. I used the cleaning product provided by the company once per week, following their instructions -- no detergents and no harsh brushes. I was sure that after sending the Tile Cleaners the pictures, they would stand by their work. When I contacted Frank and sent photos, I was disappointed to learn that a return visit to address the issue would require an additional charge. I spend close to $500. I was previously told the grout should stay clean for 3-5 years, depending on wear, which did not match my experience. The other parts of my house that were serviced are still fine. The work itself initially looked great, but the durability of the results and the response to my concern were not what I expected. I promise you that I am not a terrible housekeeper. My husband and I have been on vacation for almost a month in the past 4 months with no large dogs. I didn't ask for a refund, just that they stand by their product and come by and redo the kitchen when they in the area working.
