This is our first time coming to CBS studio for a taping of a show. We're here to see Americas Got Talent. LUCKILY it's not 90 degrees today but it is still pretty hot (70) and we've been waiting outside for almost Two hours. Kinda sucks. The ticket says to come no later than 2pm. We show up a little after 1pm and it's not 2:45pm, still waiting in line. I'm sure it's cozy and sweet inside, but so far, not a great time lol It's a clean, organized spot. Well so far this isn't starting out well. Got tickets to the show for Nov 12th. Our first time getting to go was so excited. Deceided to go for it with a double taping day since everyone was getting the time off work.Now find out they switched the day and no double taping?? Not cool! I get the tickets are free but not very professional. I know they get alot of people to come watch so not an issue for them,but without the audience they wouldn't have a show.Will see how it goes will update review. ** update: Upgraded to 4 stars. Had a great time at the show. Still not sure how they work the seating had # 10 and got put up behind camera wasn't worth getting there early for it if it Doesn't make a difference for seating, won't make that mistake again. read more

The host(s) are unique and extremely knowlegeable on topics that leave you laughing for days or tearful enough to make you think. I truly enjoy how the staff is dedicated to making your experience the best you ever had. Danny, Tawny, Ethan, Elliot, Stacey, Zane, David, Sean and Joy you truly "Rock". I absolutely love attending these tapings. From the minute I drive up I am treated with respect with a large topping of good natured fun. I guess I am a regular now. I love the behind the scenes activities as much as I enjoy the show. The guy who does the opening is hysterical and I look forward to hearing the dates on his life and his gay stories. Lol. I attend quite a few show tapings but by far this is the best. I don't feel as if I'm waiting around for hours. The time goes by very fast with very few dull moments. I will say that I love the giveaways and have enjoyed all my freebies. read more

We want by here to watch a show filming, and to be the laugh track of the studio audience for Hot in Cleveland. For the most part plan to spend the whole evening here. And I hear it could be up to 5 ish hours, just to film, that doesn't include getting the an hour and half to 2 hours before the time that its scheduled to start to be in line and get a spot. Just an FYI. You arrive at gate A which is actually a giant parking garage. It says not a pedestrian exit, so if you take a taxi, it might be best to have them drop you off inside, but they still let us walk in. When they say to leave cameras and phones in your car they mean it, but they did check ours (again we taxi'ed there) in a bag with your id. You go through security in the back of the garage and get in line of your corresponding show. Your id must match the name on your ticket ( we got ours at tvtickets.com I believe). Once in line you'll be given a number card. The bathrooms are one floor up by a patio if you need them. I highly suggest going before hand. Also you may want to being a book to read or something. I did notice someone with a nook reader, so as long as no camera or Internet access it seems to be ok. They didn't give me crap about my crochet I brought in either. We were then bussed to the studio (you may walk if its not raining I'm not sure) and then you turned in your name card and got a simple sandwich of either turkey or cheese and a small bottle of water. In the middle they passed out cookies as well. There is a comedian to keep you entertained, and explain what is going on. The cast came out on the floor and said hi to us before hand but there wasn't really a meet and greet, but still cool. 5 little no more than 5 minute scenes took 2 hours to shoot. And ran about 3-5 different takes. So it takes time. Half of our show was pre taped due to being shot on a bus, but they still showed us the scene because they still wanted our laugh track and emotions, which was cool. At the end the cast thanked us, took a final bow and left, and then we left to take a bus back to the parking garage and be on our way. It was fun to check out a taping, but be prepared to spend a good chunk of time here. We were catching a flight that night, and we did check about if we had to leave early and requested an aisle. We were told to just tell a page (easily spotted in red jackets) prior and if we had to leave early, we were told we could, but it would have to be at a break. Also potty breaks aren't really encouraged, a guy in front of us had to ask 3 times before they let him. read more

Have it be coming here for a show taping or doing some work, this is a pretty nice studio to come to. It's sort of tucked away in Studio city and while it doesn't have the huge center that NBC has over in Burbank or the Century City lot like 20th Television has, it does have a fairly chill lay out and I sort of like that it's not directly on some major street out in the open. It allows for easy parking if you don't have a drive on pass. You can see a lot of celebs here as they do film some fairly big shows here. I can't really say a bad thing about it. On the flip side, I do like the CBS Television city a lot better to visit and roam around. Over all, if you got a taping going on here, it's probably for a talk show or something like a three camera set up. It'll be a long day, but there's food near. So hey, there you go. I won't lie, CBS is one of my favorite studios to shoot at. Did some pick up shots here for a new film over the weekend a few weekends ago with Vin Diesel and it was great. This was my third time shooting something there over the past six years and it holds a special place in my heart due to location and some previous experiences. Crafty is always top notch and every experience will be different just depending on the crew of whatever project you are working on. The layout is easy to understand once you know it, and the map is pretty effective too. I really like how empty it is shooting on weekends...honestly it made me want to only shoot on weekends lol. Anyway, love this lot, and it gets an easy 4 out of 5 stars. read more

Awesome 4th of July festival. Petty Theft (Tom Petty tribute band) torched the main stage (WWW.PETTYTHEFTLIVE.COM). Food was high end carnival grade. Really sweet car show. The night ended off with, hands down, the best fireworks display I have ever seen. An awesome night full of good times had by all! Bonus tip: if you park in the ramp, back in to your parking spot. It's an absolute madhouse trying to get out at the end of the night. read more

Not sure what this place is like inside because I never made the cut!! I reserved 4 tickets to see a live taping of a new Gabriel Iglesias Netflix series. Even though we were told that seating was not guaranteed, we waited for over 2.5 hours just to be given priority seating for next time but to still arrive 3 hours before start time what a waste of time. I have worked on several shows that have shot here and this is my favorite lot to be on. There is a ton of history at this lot and shows such as Seinfeld and Boy Meets World (my fav show) was shot here. The Big Brother "house" (which is really just two studios they use) is also located on the lot. There is also a gym on the lot for people working to use, and the food in the commissary is actually really good. I always get the grilled chicken with bacon with fries and its about $5. They also have a small pond with a bridge over it. If you were wondering that pond use to be the lagoon from Gilligan's Island. They also do a wicked 4th of July party here that anyone can buy tickets to. If you have the chance to go to this do it as its the best firework display in the valley, and you will get the chance to cruise around the lot. read more

I came here for a fundraising even the other night. CBS offers a nice area called Residential Street for tables and a stage if you'd like to be set up, where they've filmed various t.v. shows. It's a pretty neat idea! I helped organize the event, but I was not in on all of the costs and what CBS takes care of and what sort of things you need to bring on your own, so I can't go into all that. They have a free parking structure not too far from the venue which is nice. We had a valet service available as well, though I'm not sure if that was through CBS or not. A little "cafe" called Carla's Cafe right on the street where the venue was held was also made available to guests who wanted to beat the heat/cool. Bathrooms are placed strategically throughout for guests to find, bars were set up, a buffet table, a stage, and a video projector all around the tables. It was a great space for our event that everyone seemed to enjoy! read more

One of the medium sized lots in the greater LA area I, like Carl J. have worked on several shows over the past few years here and it is my favorite also to be on. So many shows that people love have been filmed on this lot and noone knows it, like CSI: NY, Big Brother, Will and Grace, and my fave The Singing Bee. Their service people are fantastic and are always willing to work with you and their bungalows are functional and plentiful, usually filled with celebs and producers, I saw George Clooney shootin hoops at one of the bungalows. They have everything the other lots have, just smaller, like they're NY street and residential areas. So if you're looking for a lot, that's resonably priced in the valley, call up CBS Radford. They have over 22 stages and tons of parking with plenty of tasty places to eat near by on Ventura Blvd if the cafe isn't what you're feeling. Enjoy! read more

CBS Studios for the 4th of July and I already know Los Angeles is a very UN bicycle friendly town but CBS Radford will not allow bicycles to park in the parking lot or anywhere on the property. Guard at front said he spoke to the studio city chamber of commerce while I was standing there with my 3 year old in the bike seat and that only cars are allowed to drive and park on the property. I enjoy watching The Talk because of the wonderful way that the ladies on the show relate to each other. You can tell that they all genuinely like and respect each other. Though they have different points of views on issues of the day they do a great job of sharing with humor and grace. I laugh a lot and I learn a lot with these five ladies everyday. The Talk is uplifting and positive. As a local I have had the privilege of going to many live tapings of The Talk. It is a fun experience because the production staff is so organized and mindful of our comfort and safety. It is not an easy feat getting over 200 people checked in and accounted for and kept comfortable and most importantly energized and entertained but they pull it off every time. We went to see the live taping of The Talk at the CBS Studio Center in Studio City today. Wow, an awesome experience! The parking is in a structure that is actually the parking for the Bank of America employees and customers next door, but they are contracted to provide parking for CBS audience members. The studio validates your ticket, making the parking free. Once you've parked, you walk out to the sidewalk on Ventura Blvd., where CBS provides a shuttle service to and from the studio, saving you about a half mile hike to get there. Once you've gotten to the studio property, you do have to stand on queue for a brief period while personnel check your ID. Then you show your ID again at the check-in table where you are given a color coded card with a number; the colors denote what each group of audience members enter the studio in what order. The number indicates what order each person actually enters the studio - we were numbers 1 & 2! So we were the first people in, right after handicapped and VIP. We were directed to the third row!! The warm-up guy (whose name I can't remember - but just in case he reads this, he was wearing a lavender shirt) was excellent! He was very effective in getting the audience excited and loud...okay, I have to tell you all, he made my husband come up on stage and dance and he won a Talk mug! Once the taping is over, you receive your giveaway and back on the shuttle to the parking. Overall, an exceptional day....oh yeah, and the tickets are FREE! read more

I finally got tickets for "The Talk", whoo hoo! Loved the process from the beginning (when I ordered tickets) to end (leaving the show). It was very organized. Parking at the structure is a walk from the studio but it's free. A shuttle arrives near Bank of America to take you to the gate. As a reminder, do take your parking stub with you, it will get validated while you wait to enter the "waiting area." Loved the topics discussed. Will definitely plan another visit to a taping! My nieces were dying to see the show so I took them. I truly did not know what to expect and am always open to trying new things. The process getting into the show was smooth and easy. The staff were courteous and kind. The show however was less than desirable. Maybe because of the particular cast members, I expected the conversation to be more sophisticated.... The main topic was based off of Miley Cyrus unable to do a quick change during a show which resulted in her preforming in her underwear. An entire segment was based off of Julie Chen's question, "Have you ever not had enough time to put on all your clothes.... " Really?? That's all you ladies have to talk about?? That's the only culture you pull from in this vast world. I mine as well have been at the Jerry Springer Show... maybe a smidge harsh but the topics were as dumb and unstimulating. I could bi-pass the sophomoric conversation had the ladies acted for one second that they cared we were there. The audience was not once acknowledged by the cast, neither when the women entered the set, nor when they left. In fact, I had looked down for one second, and the ladies were gone. Don't expect to be greeted by these women at all... don't even expect for them to look at you. It was so TRITE. With that said I have to give credit were credit is due. SHERYL UNDERWOOD is a class act and was the only women to greet her adoring fans. She walked out into the audience shook some hands and spoke to some of the gushing women and thanked her guests for coming.... exactly what they all should do. Following the show, they release the audience in sections. We were the last section to be released. The Hype man told us a story about how he once had to ask someone to leave. He asked them to leave due to his/her lack of enthusiasm over the show... he or she refused to stand when they want the audience to do so. He said that it was disrespectful to the cast as the audience sets the tone for the show. If you have ever been a stage actor you know this to be true. However, it is a give and take... my job as the audience is not to make the cast's job easier when they have not even the respect to acknowledge who they are playing too.... I have to mention they gave a lot of gifts that day including Mayim Bialik's new book and all the beauty products they featured on the show. Although I was very appreciative, I would have preferred a better overall experience then a bunch of gifts... but that is just me. Sheryl Underwood I love ya... You come off wise and unpretentious... I go to the talk once in a while when I get a call back. I love going there it's always a lot of fun and you always leave energized thanks to Billy he's awesome he's the "crowd entertainer" I guess you would call him. the staff is friendly bubbly up beat and helpful. It's always super organized they have almost perfected the system so you don't spend all day there I don't really care for the highschool twerps in the red coats they don't really know what's going on and have nasty little attitudes lol so I would suggest just avoiding them. the main staff are awesome I don't know their names though :/. sometimes they give away gifts to the audience. it's pretty easy to get in security has been beefed up and its more of a hassle compared to the way it was before unfortunately. You never really know what you are going to get. All in all it's worth it I absolutely love Sarah Gilbert (Darlene Conner) and Aisha Tyler (Lana Kane & Andrea Marino) :). This review centers around two visits made to Radford for being in the studio audience for the "Roseanne" revival. CBS Security and the studio pages are friendly and they have guidelines to follow to ensure everyone has a pleasant experience. Security does not play around when it comes to checking IDs or those attempting to park in the Sater parking structure before taping time. Restrooms have been available prior to taping and they're available for everyone to use. This often is the case after you are granted access onto the lot and get your line number assignments with your tickets. read more

Went to the taping of the talk last week and it was super fun! Followed the directions on the paper they sent me and it was smooth sailing. Tips. Give yourself enough time to get from the parking structure to the taping because it takes awhile for the shuttle to leave and drive over there. Don't be overwhelmed by the new business chic dress code. It's as simple as throwing on a cute necklace and earrings and your good to go. It's about looking cute! My wife and I were able to get tickets to be in the audience for the show "Last Man Standing" with Tim Allen and Hector Elizondo and a cast of really-talented folks. We had never been to a 'live set' before, so we were a little apprehensive about what to expect. Upon arrival, we were directed where to park, and made to feel like we were important. Pages (uniformed assistants) and security were most helpful and informative. They quickly answered our questions and concerns. We were ushered into the studio and prepped (what we could do, should do, and couldn't do in a live recording environment) The stars came out, and we watched and participated (through laughter and applause) as the various scenes were done. Through it all, we felt we were a WELCOME part of the production process. The experience was great! read more

There was traffic so I got there 5 minutes after check time, only 1 parking space left just for me way on top you have to walk 2 flights of stairs to get to elevator. We had to stand in stand by staff was great. We didn't wait in line long walk to studio behind everyone who got there on time. We heard GREAT music bumping. It was like waiting to get into a club awesome. We got to sit on the side that they always show the audience way on top the last row, they seat you color coded. Waited 10 mins after seated and show began. 1st show no give aways but was fun. Let us out for bathroom break they said we where gonna switch seats was excited about that hoping to sit infront BUT more than 1/2 the audience had to use restroom they tried their best to keep us out the sun they only have 4 stalls & 2 where broken it took almost an hour for me to get to go, they wouldn't let us use to Mens restroom. They said this never happenes. It took so long that we had to sit in the same seats booo... 2nd taping got give aways YIPPY....... We even got on TV So far the fasted most orginized friendliness show, looking foward to going again.. read more

My friends and I had tickets to see the live taping of one of our all time favorite shows, Big Brother, and I can happily say that we had the most amazing time! The live show began at 6pm, so we were told to be there by 4pm. When we got there and got checked in, we walked outside and saw one of the most popular contestants, Jeff Schroeder, interviewing people for his CBS all access show! My cousin was able to get interviewed and it was really cool for her to be apart of that! Everyone that we encountered was very nice and the entire process, from checking in, waiting and getting to the actual show, was extremely organized and went very smoothly! I have been to tapings of a few other shows and I can honestly say that Big Brother was the best taping I've been too! So fun and unique!! Overall, it was a great experience! I was so excited to go to the taping because I watch it everyday. We (4 of us) even drove from another state for 11 hours and spent the night close by. I've got to admit it was not a good experience. For all the waiting and what you have to go through, the staff could be much nicer. The Talk ladies never once even smile or say anything to the audience. They act like you are not even there, and there were a lot of breaks. Two other talk shows I went to at least say 'thanks for your attendance'. Once it's over they just send you on your way.....no kind words. After all, they are the ones that need the cheers and clapping, and should at least act like they care. To say the least, I have a bad taste in my mouth and no longer watch The Talk. read more

i worked on this lot for a few months while they shot a pilot for HBO. i was not impressed with the cafeteria. however, the producers of the show hired a kick ass catering team--i think it was ken and arts motion picture catering or something like that, fucking awesome food, seriously--and i forgot who the craft service was, but they were awesome too. the parking structure was very far from our sound stage, i think we were shooting on 17. which was a bummer, but you know what, i can't complain. i met james gandolfini on this lot, which was weird. i wanted to ask him for a photo or an autograph but i didn't wanna look like an asshole. read more

I went to a Hot in Cleveland taping and it was fantastic. Everyone at the studio was so friendly. I expected them to be a bit snobbish and tired of dealing with crazy fans, but they were are all very polite and helpful. It was really a great experience. The taping was scheduled at 5:00 and I got there at 3:30 and was number 29 in line, so I made it in. They give you a sandwich (small and homemade-like) and a small water when you get there to get your through the night and then at some point during the taping they give you a cookie, which I really appreciated, because the taping lasted until 9:30, so I was there for six hours. They have a comedian to keep you entertained during all the breaks between filming and really, the night flew by. You can also get up and go to the bathroom whenever you need - much more relaxed atmosphere than I expected. read more

Went here for the filming of The Exes. Everyone in the garage was very friendly as well as the people on the lot. I really like it when events start on time and the staff treats you with courtesy and respect, which is exactly what I got here. The show started on time and didn't last too long. There was a party in the audience, we were doing the wobble and everything! I had an amazing time! The hype man could have been better though. He was picking on one lady and his jokes weren't too funny. We were given a half of sandwich and water before filming, which was nice. I would definitely come back for another show!! read more

Once I arrived at the parking lot for the studio, I just had to wait for like 10 minutes before we went in to park. We had to park on the top floor and there was many parking space for visitors and it was free. I took the steps down tot the basement where we had to check in. i waited for about 40 mins before we started heading towards the building for "The Talk". The studio was nice. The Talk was amazing because it is live. Also get to walk away home after show with prizes. I will be back again!! read more
