A friend invited me to be part of the audience in a TV show. My experience here reminded me of the airport and being a juror. It needs to be more organized. We were told no phones were allowed, and then I saw many of the audience brought their phones with them and were told they could bring them. I swear we had to return to the car and leave our phones there, and it was quite a walk. So you can imagine my disappointment when I found out you could bring your phone. I planned to photograph the area outside the studio, and that didn't happen. Why did I mention I felt like I was a juror... You cannot use the restroom while the show is in process. OMG! There were so many takes. We all had to endure not using the restroom for so many hours. We ran towards the restroom when they finally said we could leave and take a break! LOL!

Monique Searls writer, producer & director of the stageplay "WORD" put together a bonding outing as a reward for memorizing our roles in the script. It was a taping of a sitcom The Neighborhood at CBS Studios. I was told that 4 (included myself) cast members from my group were checked-in... However, I didn't see anyone else there. So I made the best of the situation. It wasn't too difficult because everybody (security, employees, staff, cast, crew, audience) around me was genuinely nice. Except this one lady on crew that though I should eat more sandwiches. Idk how to interpret that. Anyways, the taping process was allotted for five hours, but I added parking and Checkin... Easily a 6-hour process. Always arrive to any taping an hour prior to start time to guarantee your space. The Neighborhood taping that I was an audience member too was Season 1 Episode after the Pilot. They showed us the Pilot Episode, which was about 20-minutes. Also, there was a moderator for audience participation and group bonding. He was hilarious. I didn't forget his name... Also, CBS Studios fed us bottled water with a choice of deli sandwiches: turkey or cheese. I went with cheese (sourdough or buttermilk, mayonnaise, plenty American cheese, mixed greens) which was an excellent idea. It was actually a very filling and tasty. The Neighborhood is a heartwarming sitcom about family love and being neighborly. There are plenty well-known stars cast like Cedrick the Entertainer, Tichina Arnold, Beth Behrs, Max Greenfield and more... You'll find out when you start watching the show on Monday, October 1st 2018 at 9pm. It's sure to be a hit! ********************************************* If you're interested in attending a taping, I made a friend at Checkin that was there from the "SURKUS" App. She attends tapings/events on her day off from work or whenever her schedule permits. "SURKUS" is free at your smartphone APP Store. I hope you find time to attend at least 1 taping. It is definitely an experience for locals or tourists.

No, I'm not referring to the awkward talk that parents have with their children involving "the birds and the bees". This talk is must more fun and pleasant and doesn't cause scarring or confusion in a child's mind. "The Talk" is a daytime talk show on CBS hosted by Sharon Osbourne (you know you love her!!), Melissa Gilbert (yup, that's Darlene from "Roseanne" to you), Leah Remini ("King of Queens" or as some of you 90s kids remember: the girlfriend of Zach Morris on "Saved by the Bell" when the gang worked at the beach-side country club), Holly Robinson Peete ("Hanging with Mr. Cooper") and Julie Chen (host of CBS's "Big Brother"). Filmed at CBS Radford in Studio City, I have had the pleasure of attending a total of 6 tapings so far due to my "audience model" gig. As many of you are aware, I have attended TONS of show tapings due to my audience gig and I can safely say, as positively as a cheater gambling in Vegas; that this had the been the funnest experience thus far. Not only are little aspects of the filming orgasmic-ly fun like the beauty of the set, the fact that we generally receive prizes in the audience a la Ellen- style (I've received a $100 gift card to a shoe website, a $200 gift card to a a pearl website, a home-tanning kit, beauty products, etc), but the actual production crew is top-knotch. They are not cocky like most teams and yet get their work done quickly, efficiently, but not at the expense of the audience like we are "nothings". I suppose that since the show is live, it requires a more talented crew. You truly feel like the show is about YOU when you attend a taping. My biggest annoyance at these shows, are generally the audience warm-up guys. They are so cheesy and generally make me want to bomb the building versus practice my applauding. However, "The Talk" changes that. Again I can compare it to what you see at Ellen: we have dance parties, stand-up comedy, etc. I can't quite place by finger on why it is better here: maybe the actual talent of the warm-up guy or the fact that we know we are about to be live; but there is such a energized buzz in the air, it's incredible. I've had the pleasure of meeting both Sharon and Kelly Osbourne who are out-of-this world adorable and kind, Holly Robinson Peete who along with Kelly (but on a separate occasion) complimented me on my tattoos, and Julie Chen. They are welcoming, sweet, and pure honey. Although the target audience is females in the upper to early 30s bracket just getting married or starting families; it is an absolutely terrific shoot to attend regardless of your age and gender. And hey, maybe you will go home with $700 in prizes like I have!

Starting from this season, the new parking location will be at Studio City Public Parking lot. CBS studio shuttle bus will come to this location & pick up audience. If the wait time is too long, you can walk to CBS studio (15 minutes walk). Actually is a good exercise in the morning!

My Review is of 'The Talk' Sara Gilbert's talk show, staff, and quality of experience. I came here with my sister for cyber Monday 11/28/2016 and was excited to come for one reason an one reason only and that was, to see sara Gilbert. I have always been a huge fan of hers and highly respect her as an artist, an inspiring human-being. (She was awesome in Rosanna and High fidelity) First off parking was easy for us because, we found parking right in front of the guard belvedere and close to the entrance. We have a handicap plaque so, we're able to park in front of any meter, without worrying about the time limit. There is also ample street parking along the surrounding residential blocks. However, just be careful on them street sweeping days. (Just make sure to get there early or you'll have to park a mile away, and have to take a shuttle in) Now the wait was about an hour in a line that is on the sidewalk, with no benches or seats. So, if you have back issues or other medical problems bring a chair. Recomendation, get there early and set up a chair and then put it back in your car once you're ready to go in. Now their Top Flight armor defense shield personal. Not bad I must say. Step (1) They take and scan your California ID Step (2) You're photographed with it Step (3) They check that your on the list Step (4) Check in all Metal and foreign objects (Bombs, guns, knives, vicious dogs or cats must all be left behind) Step (5) walk through metal detector Step (6) Get hand waned (scanned) by the top flight security guard if metal detector go's off! If you do have something sharp or something that looks like it can cause harm, it will and should be confiscated. The waiting room was cool because, they have bench seating and a camera booth to take some silly photos. The Journey: Once they lined us up by number (I was #28) they take us to the stage which is, a 30 mile hike over treacherous Terrain. Lol It's a crisp walk through the streets and stages of urban CBS. There are plaques up of old shows that once dominated the airways such as, Will and Grace, Gilligan's island, the Bernie mac show, and Adams family to name a few, It's pretty cool (You're basically walking through TV history). They offer rides for those who can't make the walk because, it's pretty far.Their energized staff and volunteers stand along the entire route so, no wandering is allowed! Lol The Staff: They were cool, especially the big Latino guy that was in charge of sitting us down. He sat me in the front row to the right of the cast which, was awesome. They make everyone put their phones away but they allow you to take them out for a little bit, so everyone can take photos. I wish I could have taken a photo with Sara however, I was way to shy to ask her besides, I was star struck I must admit because; she's even more lovely in person. The cast this day was obviously Sara Gilbert, Julie chen, Aisha Tyler, Sheryl underwood and Sharon Osborn was not here so, Reba McIntyre sat in for her. It was a treat because I love Reba, she's a sweetheart and said hello to me. Cyber Monday/Audience anger It was cyber Monday so everyone in the audience, was saying that we were gonna get something. Most of these women were only there to receive something free. Well' to their surprise nothing was given because, the cyber prize had been given to another audience on a previous show. As we were walking back to our cars the curse words being used about the entire cast, and show were flowing like the Nile river, it was sad! All because they felt we didn't receive a gift (They didn't deserve a gift with that attitude) however, I beg to differ, we did get a gift! I didn't even realize people go to these shows to get a free gift hmm they should make a reality show about that lol Blessings: Well' I told a group of about 20 ladies that I felt differnt, that I felt we were blessed on this day. I told them we got to hear a voice of an angel in Mrs Reba McIntyre who sung her new Christmas song live which, was beautiful (She is such a blessing). And, comedian Sheryl underwood had everyone laughing the entire time (she is such an incredible human-being). And the best part was we got to see Sara Gilbert live an up close, who's such an inspiration and awesome human-being (I wish I could have told her that). To enjoy such a fun show for free was a gift and worth more than the 200$ gift certificate given away to another audience. Life is about enjoying moments with people and loved ones. I enjoyed my time with the cast, staff, and top flight security. The entire cast of ladies and show are a blessing an I'm thankful I was able to enjoy them for an hour of my life. FUN: So Finally, I enjoyed my time (minus the foul-mouth inconsiderate F-bomb dropping audience that didnt agree with me) an I highly recommend you come to this show because it was cool... God bless an enjoy life!

I came here for an event. I didn't realize anyone could just rent a sound stage. There was a luau party somewhere else on the lot. I got to visit a set and see a couple of the sound stages. This lot is pretty small from what I can tell compared to Warner Bros, etc, but I really only did go to one building/section. Staff/security were friendly and nice.

We were at the CBS Studio to be in the audience for The Survivor finale. Getting there was a breeze. They started letting people in at 2:00PM...sharp not one minute earlier! Security checked your invitation then scanned your driver license. The parking structure is huge with security patrolling in golf carts. Once pass security then you to an additional check-in finally walking through the metal detector. We got to the waiting area where there were about four actually real Survivor Challenge games. Once we were let into the studio to our assigned seats by our wristbands. There was a lot of info they gave you about what you can do and not do doing the taping of the show, plus games and free give away Items. The show started taping from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Another great moment being here was to see Kevin Hart come out to promote his new show, TKO. The only thing I didn't like too much was to go to the restroom there was only 8 portable potty for about 500 plus audiences and 2 of them were broken. Overall the staff was very friendly plus everything went really great.

The Talk is my favorite talk show!!! Bill the "warmup man" is SOOOO funny he loves audience participation so don't come to The Talk and sleep on Bill he will call you out and possibly throw his mike at you I started coming to the show when Sheryl Underwood joined the cast, she's funny and real, Mrs. O is funny as well I love to hear her talk "Old ass Jay Z" "Fiddy", Sara is super healthy and loves her some Linda Julie is always poised and picture perfect awesome shoes Aisha is very witty she has a sharp tongue with a sense of humor. With that said they have chemistry you can tell the ladies really love each other Keep up the good work, cya next week

Beautiful lot. Have been here a few times to watch tapings of "The Talk" and it's always a fun experience! The staff is great and always make you feel welcome. I highly recommend getting tickets and enjoying the show live at least once. .

    Leaving after the show.

Spent the day with the ladies of The Talk yesterday and they didn't disappoint. Happy Birthday Sharon!!! We have been going off and on since the pilot show and have seen it evolve to what it is today. The ladies always treat one another with respect and seem to genuinely love each other. Great chemistry. The staff is always fair and accommodating. Thanks Danny! The energy is off the charts. Thanks Bill!! Look forward to many more seasons.

I actually came here to volunteer with the Every Child Matters 5K as part of my work, and I have to say that I was pleased with what I saw, even though it was very little. New York street was wonderful and scenic. It was very clean, and everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. I look forward to thoroughly visiting the studio!

    Getting ready.

Known as the Media Capital of the World, Burbank is where all the studios are located, Disney, Warner Bros, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, NBC, ABC, etc. It's no surprise if you bump into movie personalities in the mall, movies, bank and other business establishments. My neighbors are pretty much in the entertainment industry. You would think considering my location and business connections, you would think I'd been to all the tapings available. On the contrary, I don't. Yes, I've been to Jay Leno once as a VIP guest so I didn't have to line up and I even had a souvenir photo with him. But that was it. Until I got an invite to see Big Bang Theory on 8/21/18. Although my ticket stated to show up at 5pm, I was actually in line at 3:30 although show starts at 6:30. I didn't want to miss my spot because I had a guest who lives out of town. Too late for me to find out that I actually had priority tickets which is basically a guaranteed spot. Oh well! My guest and I had seats 5 and 6 so which were in the second row just behind the staff guests. Our seats were right in front of the famous staircase, on its left is Penny's apartment and in the right is Sheldon's. We were so near that we see the stars up close. On the day of our visit, the entire cast was there along with Kathy Bates and Tyler. It's a pretty cool experience and I'm glad to have attended especially when they announced the next day that BBT is finally ending. The taping we saw is actually going to be the first episode for their final season.

I love the Big Bang Theory; I think it's the greatest show on earth!!…read more However the process though of getting a ticket to the Big Bang Theory is the biggest pain; it's not worth it unless you really really like the show. Tickets are obtained at Audiences Unlimited which does most sitcoms in Hollywood. Their site is easy and quick until you want to get tickets for this show which usually come out Mondays. The problem is that their website sucks on this day. It constantly times out and has web errors assuming from so many people overloading it with requests for this show. It reminds me of trying to call a radio station when they are doing a giveaway or a casting director at Central Casting when they've put a job on their recorded line. You would think Audiences Unlimited would invest in more bandwidth but I assume since it's the only show that does this they don't see the need. So if you want a ticket to this show you really have to be very patient and have nothing to do for a few hours Monday morning. I've been lucky enough to get through twice and both times I've literally spent 2 hours trying to get tickets and these weren't even real tickets but standby tickets. I've never ever seen a regular ticket, I don't know if they even exist. Also you can only request 1 ticket at a time. They say this has something to do with the studio so if you want to go with your friend it's best that both of you do it separately. It's possible to request 1 ticket then go back to do another but you also run the risk of space being gone by the time you are finally able to get through again If you are lucky enough to have snagged a standby ticket pat yourself on the back. It doesn't end here though because there is still a very likely chance you won't get in. It really just depends on how many family and friends VIP tickets they have given out who don't show up. That is what the standby audience is for. The first time I went with a standby ticket I didn't get in and I got there early. The next time I got there really, really early and I was still like the 10th person in line. Though this is all annoying to do this for a ticket you can see really it reflected in the audiences that shows up. The audience at the Big Bang Theory are true, true, loyal, loving fans who are willing to come early and wait a whole day to see the show just like the old days where people would camp out somewhere to get tickets to a rock concert. Most of them are wearing Big Bang Theory shirts, hats, sweatshirts, etc and it's like a little community when you are waiting, kind of like the parking lot at a Grateful Dead concert without all the tie dye and drugs. I'm naturally a little shy in big groups of people but I felt very comfortable and outgoing here. It was easy to mingle with people I guess since everyone shared a common interest. I met 2 girls that said they went every week, I met some foreign tourists that just adored the show and were giddy that they got to go to a 'real Hollywood TV taping', I met a pilot from back East who was attending the taping during a layover between flights. For the taping I would prepare to make it a day production. Bring a book, magazines, snacks,-lots of them, a lawn chair or somewhere to sit comfortably because bench space is limited, bring cards or other games to play with the new friends you'll make. Bring sunscreen, a hat, better yet a small umbrella because part of the parking lot (yes, you are actually in a parking lot waiting) doesn't have shade. It's actually pretty fun as long as you treat it as a day- long event and come prepared. As for the show I was lucky enough to get a seat in the front row which made the experience so much better, I think it would be different if I was in the back rows because you can't see as much. You can tell that this cast and crew of this show were very special. At the end of the taping Kaley and Kunal gave out autographs. They thanked everyone and said that they were happy to be there and were happy to be able to be working in something that they loved. I wish Jim Parsons would have come out but he probably would have gotten mobbed due to Sheldon's popularity. I love this show and felt it was a great experience; I would definitely go again however the whole process would have been the biggest pain in the ass had I not absolutely adored the show.
