Accessible only by boat, this is a remote, natural, untouched, pure Florida beach. What it is not, is a state park, per se, but rather land owned by the state park department (i.e. we, Florida taxpayers), that is "shared" with landowners and homes that existed prior to the state's land acquisition. You will be dropped off by boat, walk about five minutes through a canopy of trees, and emerge on the other side, to a gorgeous beach. There are no facilities whatsoever. Not a bench, building or instructional sign. There is not even a sign stating it is state park land. If you have a Florida state pass, you CANNOT use it, and are charged when you book your cruise. For the shellers out there, NOT a good shelling site, although I know September is not the best time to shell (winter is best). Three stars because the beach IS beautiful. Would've been "0" for it's classification as a "state park" read more
