Whilst I have sampled the cake from here at another party and was eager to order one for my partners 30th, I will now no longer consider this place for a couple of reasons.
* Cakes from here a frozen and then thawed which is completely fine and is a technique only some can pull off. The cakes here are either frozen at too low a temperature, for too long or baked for too long before frozen. This resulted in my Chocolate mud cake that I paid $170 for being dry. I can't even begin to understand how a mud cake could ever get dry if cooked properly.
* In that cost I ordered an acrylic topper. It was broken on collection being held together by a piece of sticky tape and I was not offered a replacement due to the stockist being closed which is understandable but no offer of compensation was given either when it was broken by Cayley.
* The chocolates on top of the cake were dry and crumbly so were either no name versions or were frozen along with the cake itself.
It's very disappointing that when purchasing goods, the end result is not satisfactory. I am thankful my best friend had sampled the cake as she was originally heading here for her wedding cake and that would have been a disaster. If you're reading this review, just shop around before deciding. I wish I had done the same thing. read more
