This is a small family run organic farm which produces cheese.
We visited the farm on a very rainy day when we were all a bit fed up (me, hubbie and 4 children), our spirits soon improved when we got there though.
When we were driving down the lane in the pouring rain we were sure we had taken a wrong turning but then we arrived at the small farm, seemingly in the middle of nowhere!! We would made to feel so welcome as we trudged up to the shop and dripped all over their floor. In the shop is a small veiwing gallery which looks down on the room where the cheese is made. The people making the cheese were friendly and although we couldn't speak to them or hear them as there was glass between us they were smiling and waving at the children.
The lady in the shop talked us through what was going on in the cheese making room, it was actually very interesting!! Even all the children listened intently and asked a couple of questions.
We were then invited to taste some of the cheese, I think maybe we ate a bit too much though as there was 6 of us!! The cheese we bought to take home with us wasn't overpriced and so often it can be in places like this, and it tasted great.
They also have a small cafe with drinks and home made cakes, very yummy!
We will definately return next time we are in the area. read more
