Darren was fantastic. I won't hesitate to recommend him to anyone for the superb job he did at our wedding on 7/10/2016. We found him on Thumbtack, and he was extremely responsive. He drove all the way up to Redondo Beach to meet up with us, and we knew we had the right guy. For weddings especially, Darren was super prepared and organized. He had a whole wedding planning DJ book that he gave us to fill in during the months leading up to the big day, complete with plenty of suggestions, examples, guidelines, and recommendations. Darren is very responsive and never did we feel unconfident with his ability during the months leading up. In fact, when we don't respond on our end, he'll follow up each time, which leads me to believe that he'll go the extra mile whenever the opportunity presents itself. A few weeks before the wedding, he met up with us again, this time at the venue in Temecula. We went over details and he was very thorough. We pretty much talked about every possible scenario. He couldn't make our wedding rehearsal, but it wasn't an issue as he has a lot of experience and has done multiple weddings at that venue before in the past. On the day of, he showed up early and set up all his audio equipment as well as the upright lighting in the venue. He came with his wife who acted as a helper, and she was very good as well. Darren had all the music mapped out and planned out ahead of time, with the exact versions/renditions of the songs that we had requested. In addition, he was able to accommodate our senseless last minute changes without an issue or a hiccup. He led the Cupid Shuffle and got almost all the guests on the dance floor, and I can't wait to see that on video later. Many of our guests stayed to dance the night away and shut down the dance floor with us when the venue finally closed, so that should be indicative of how fun the night was. Looking back, I'm very glad we hired Darren as he made the day totally awesome for us. read more

We had such a wonderful time working with Darren. From the start, he made the process in selecting songs for our wedding seamless. A few months before he sent out an awesome packet that let my husband and I select our songs and really put thought into the entire process. We were able to really start putting the vision for our day together and make our special day so personal. We then met with Darren and Claudia to go over our selections a bit closer to the ceremony. They were both so easy to work with and completely customized the ceremony and reception to be exactly what we wanted. You can tell that they are total professionals and Darren was also amazing at corralling our lively wedding party and kept things moving. He made the process so easy, and it was so much fun to pick out all the songs that we would use to make our wedding even more special! There were so many highlights of our wedding including playing songs that are so special to us and our close friends, at one point we were all linking arms in a big circle singing "Wagon Wheel" and it was the best! This experience really solidified why it is important to have a great DJ for your wedding. He provided such a crucial part of the overall mood of our wedding and I am so grateful we worked together! read more

Darren and Claudia at Cavo Entertainment made our Anniversary party one of the most memorable days of our lives. Darren helped with planning and then he was the MC that kept us moving on schedule so we had plenty of time for dancing and fun. As the DJ, he really read the crowd and played everyone's favorite music at the perfect time. He kept the crowd moving and enjoying their time. Claudia ran the photo-booth and everyone had so much fun there. People were laughing and giggling as they tried on props and then viewed their finished pictures. Our friends agree with us that this was one of their favorite parties because of this dynamic duo! We recommend them to everyone! read more

We just had our wedding sept 16th 2017... we met Darren months before our wedding and We immediately knew he would be our wedding DJ for our wedding because he made us feel comfortable with knowing how many years of experience he has had and also he was very organized. He gave us a book where there are lists of songs you can choose from and had us write down certain songs for certain important moments throughout our wedding (ex:bouquet toss, walking down the aisle, etc) He is the sweetest and most genuine person we've worked with. We will never be able to thank him enough!!! read more

Darren and Claudia handled our DJ and Photobooth services, respectfully, on our wedding on July 21, 2018. We could not have been more impressed! After we booked our venue at Abbott Manor, they were the next vendors we booked. We were instantly impressed with their level of professionalism and attention to detail that we did not see from our other contacts with local DJs. After booking with them, we were given a detailed plan leading up to our big day. I especially appreciated the in-person meeting the month prior, as it alleviated a lot of questions that I thought of as it approached. I would recommend them both for all of your DJ and Photobooth needs! read more

I would highly recommend Darren and his team as your wedding DJ. He helped us along every step of the way to have our dream wedding. He met up with us a few times to make sure everything was as planned and he went above and beyond to help us in any way possible. The music was fantastic!!! Everyone raved at how great of a job he did. Our officiant was in a car accident on the way to our wedding and he stepped up and even said he could marry my husband and I, so he pretty much saved the day as well! read more

If you're looking for the best DJ ever, you've found him. Darren is a true professional. I found him through an online source and upon our first conversation (he didn't know it) he had the job. Everything he does is straightforward and to the point. He knows when it's time to be serious (sends a contract to protect both parties) and when to have fun - (anytime paperwork isn't involved). Darren can read a crowd, has endless selections, great equipment and is punctual, responsive, and 100% the real deal. We used him for a company party and he now will be our resident DJ for all events. Our party was on a Yacht and Darren showed up early, set up his lights, screen, and tables and was ready to go. His equipment worked flawlessly in the middle of the water and he brings his own videos, wireless mics, etc. if you are looking for karaoke. He made sure to give me all of my options so that this party was custom to what we wanted. I'm booking him way in advance to ensure of that. I also recommended him to DJ for my sisters' wedding. His organization and commitment to excellence made it very easy to refer him. I remember telling Darren, "you sound too good to be true." But he wasn't good.. he was phenomenal. Seriously this review might not sound real but send me a message/check out my other reviews, I'm a real person with a real recommendation for you. PICK TEMPORARY TEMPO and don't think twice. read more

If you are looking for an experienced professional to make your wedding run smoothly so you can dance all night, Darren and Temporary Tempo is the way to go! From the minute we sat down at our first meeting with Darren to discuss the music at our wedding, I could tell Darren was going to be great. He was extremely professional and prepared. His experience shows. He provided my fiancée and I with a workbook to help us organize the timeline of our wedding and select music for all the milestones throughout the day. He spent a lot of time getting to know us and helping us understand all the details that need to be in place to make the wedding day perfect. He offered suggestions for songs and activities to make the wedding memorable! We knew before the meeting was over that Darren and Temporary Tempo was right for us! Darren met with us again closer to the wedding to review the workbook and make sure he understood our needs. The day of the wedding, Darren was there early setting up and making sure all the equipment was ready. He provided personalized music during the ceremony and then transitioned to a jazzy cocktail hour before helping us and our guests dance the night away. He was fun and entertaining, kept us on our time table and worked very well with the venue, officiant, and photographer. Temporary Tempo also offers Photo Booth service. It was very convenient to have one provider handle the music and Photo Booth. Darren worked with us to create a custom layout for the photos and the booth was ready and snapping fun pictures of our guests all night! At the end of the evening, we received all the photos on a thumb drive so we could immediately start remembering the night! It was awesome. read more

There are not enough words to express how thankful I am for Darren and his company!!! We got married on June 18, 2016. Our wedding was absolutely perfect! People always tell you things will go wrong...nope...not ours! Darren was basically my wedding coordinator for the day. He made sure every single thing went according to plan and ran smoothly. Never once did I fell pressured or rushed. One of my favorite things was that Darren made sure we ate!! Then after we ate he blocked out time where we were to go to every table and greet every guest. We had about 185 people and it was very important to me to be able to talk to everyone and thank them personally for coming! I would use Darren 100 times over again!!! Seriously Darren from Temporary Tempo is absolutely amazing! My husband and I hired him for our wedding on July 16, 2016 and never regretted it for even a second! From the first moment he was THE BEST BY FAR! On our very first meeting he provided us with an entire book to fill out which he uses to create a timeline for the day of ensuring from start to finish all goals are met. This timeline also allowed us to tell him what type of music we wanted him to play for every part of the ceremony and reception, he wants to ensure the right music is playing! He went through everything with us, not only is he a DJ but he is an entire wedding coordinating team. He is there for you, he works together with all of your vendors ensuring that your day goes off without a hitch! He promised us that we would never have to worry about a single thing and he was correct, we never worried about anything when it came to his expertise! He is there the day of your rehearsal, he goes through everything with everyone! He acts as the wedding coordinator during that time! He goes through everything, talking about about what music he will play during that certain time, where people need to stand, what cues the wedding party needs to look for! Literally he is the man for the job, you won't regret hiring him as your wedding DJ! During the reception he keeps the timeline right on target allowing you to maximize your entire experience! Needless to say, Darren is the best and I can promise you he will not disappoint you! If you want the best, you hire Darren from Temporary Tempo! read more

Darren helped us do a timeline and it helped with keeping everything in order. The lighting transformed our venue and also helped realized the theme of our event. Darren was extremely receptive to our personal tastes in music and was happy to take song requests in the moment. My guest loved the music and had a real good time dancing. Claudia took the time to design the post card for our photo booth and the end result was perfect. I truly appreciated that Claudia positioned our guests to get the best pictures. Look no further. Darren rocked our wedding and was the most prepared and professional person to work with throughout the entire process. His equipment, including the up-lighting ceremony audio and image projector were top notch and our guests had nothing but compliments. The best compliment that could be paid was from our wedding coordinator at the winery. She told us the next day that the staff working the wedding commented numerous times about how Darren had to be put on the short list for the "venue-suggested" vendors. He kept the ball rolling and the timeline on point and that made everyone's night more relaxing. read more

There is a little secret about weddings that no one wants to tell a bride. Perhaps it is because everyone wants to focus on the dress and the cake and the flowers; no one wants to tell the bride and groom just how stressful and daunting their big day has the potential to be. Here is my secret for brides and grooms to be... Your DJ can make or break the flow of your big day. They are the best friend and wedding planner that you never knew you needed. They maintain the tempo of every picture perfect moment of your day. Hiring Darren Meyer of Temporary Tempo Mobile Entertainment was, hands-down, one of the best choices I made. Their commitment to keeping our day on track was nothing short of magic. The music selections were tasteful and abundant. Darren and his team knew exactly when to play music to get people out on the dance floor and when to slow it down so that meals could be enjoyed. His flexibility with my schedule and needs was amazing. The best part about having Darren on my side was knowing that no one, not even the venue, could push me to stray from our agreed upon timeline. The greatest compliment I can give a business is my referral; Darren Meyer and Temporary Tempo will be receiving all of my mobile entertainment referrals from here forward. Thank you, Darren for playing such a huge role in our very special day. read more
