Possibly the worst place we've tried in Barcelona, that I had to review it, despite the fact I have…read moreother good experiences that i have to write about. The one redeeming factor is that the price here is not expensive considering its location within a touristy area such as Barceloneta. Service is really poor. No friendly smiles, no emotion at all. Its possible we were served by a robot. One dish came out too late after we had finished with the other two. We ordered the ham croquettes, codfish fritters, & the fried squid was the late comer. The croquettes were ok, the codfish was bland & the squid was average. Sometimes it doesnt pay to take a chance. Oh well. That's life. I would probably avoid this place, thankfully I never have to come back here again.

La Tagliatella was a treat. It was rare to find a real meal after a certain hour in Barcelona but…read morethis place will set you up well for a long night of drinking. I don't know about you but tapas, burgers or the other light fare is not necessarily a solid foundation for me. The restaurant was not busy but we were happy to find real food. They have all the classics dishes as well as drink specials. I believe a bottle of wine was 10ish euros. They also had a good price on a pitcher of sangria. I was ready to order that bottle of wine in addition until I saw the size of the picture. The food was very good, I believe I order the chicken piccata in addition to a dessert sampler. The sangria was on point and the desserts hit to spot. I know not too many people are checking Yelp reviews in Europe but for those that do, I believe La Tagliatella is for sure worth checking out if you're looking for some Italian eats. This is a great setup for that night out or for a chill/low key night. *Also, use your Spanish when ordering. Makes the dining experience that much better.
