It was Sunday June 7, 2026 around 9:00 am when we arrived. It was a mad house. We turned in on the lane that takes you directly to the gas pumps. We were driving for a while and just decided to park so we could go in and use the restroom and get something to eat. After using the spotless restroom and cleaning up, we went to get our food. As I said, the place was an absolute madhouse, but it was good madness. To see so many people packed in one place with smiles and looks of joy on their faces. Great time's. I know it's just a rest stop but it's so much more. This place just makes people happy. It was still breakfast time so they were still serving the incredible brisket tacos. I absolutely love just the brisket taco with their green salsa. It's amazing! My taco was packed with brisket and comes on the fresh made tortillas they make right there in the store. My wife loves the brisket and egg taco just plain the way it comes. They are equally as good and also loaded with brisket and a good amount of egg. After getting our food, we went and got a few of the new Buc-ee's America 250 merchandise. We just got a couple of t-shirts and a fridge magnet. There is anything you can imagine in the merchandise section. After checking out, we went to our car to eat our food. Sitting there eating we just watched a non stop line of cars pulling in. It was like it was timed perfectly. Every vehicle seemed like they were spaced out the perfect distance from one another. It was like it was choreographed. We sat there for about a half hour watching this. It was hilarious. When we finished eating, we went to fuel up before getting back on the road. This particular day the gas was $3.47 a gallon. When we got back to Cave City, the gas was $3.74. Even with all of those cars coming in, there was no waiting to get to a gas pump. Buc-ee's is a fun place to stop in and grab a snack, have some awesome brisket, pulled pork, or beef jerky. It's just a wonderful place.

Service Plazas that are built between both directions of the expressway make so much more sense than having a rest area on each side...but that's not what this is about. This Hucks is huge! It's spacious and well lit, and has just about everything you need from a service plaza. The entryways are clean and well maintained. It was a rainy day and staff was frequently checking the lobby and mopping up water that had been tracked in. I love the barn wood décor. It's homey and feels rustic and outdoorsy. There is no end to the stuff you can buy here. Sandwiches. Snacks. Soft drinks (both bottle/can and fountain). Donuts. Fresh sandwiches. Rotisserie chicken. Dippin' Dots!®. There's also non-food related stuff like Baseball caps. Apparel. Basic car/truck supplies. A lot more stuff than I would normally imagine. All of the racks and shelves and displays are well-spaced so you don't feel crowded. The only staff member we interacted with was a cashier and she pretty unenthusiastic about the whole ordeal (we about a donut, some beef jerky, and two bottles of water) and I got the impression she'd rather be somewhere else. This kind of service plaza is what most should aspire to. Clean, well-stocked, and convenient.

So here I was - a California wine geek looking for a nice bottle of wine in...Cave City Kentucky???…read more To be honest, I would have been happy with just about anything. The first store had no wine at all and directed me to this place. So we took the advice and came here fearing the worst. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to walk in and be greeted by a wonderful person named Stacy. She told me where the wine was and MAN, WAS I SURPRISED! They had one of our favorite Sauvignon Blanc's (Oyster Bay). The fact is they have a very impressive selection of wines - ESPECIALLY considering that they are in the middle of nowhere, Kentucky. They also have a large selection of beers. So I picked up two bottles of my Oyster Bay and figured I would try one of the local wines as well. I selected the Black and Bruised - which is Blackberry and grape wine. When I drank the B & B i found it to be very fruity and fairly sweet. It actually tasted like grape juice with a slight berry flavor. I wouldn't drink it everyday, but did drink the bottle watching the election results at an Inn on the Outer Banks of NC. Both times I was in the store while staying at the Cave National Park, I was assisted by the very pleasant and helpful Stacy. While wandering about the store I could hear her assisting other customers and she was just as pleasant and accommodating as one can be. It was truly a pleasure for me to observe such awesome customer service. Overall an EXCELLENT place to shop and get great service. Stacy needs to come and work at the wine shop in California and teach them a little about customer service.

What does one do when in Kentucky? Go seeking bourbon, obviously. Not being familiar with the area,…read morethis was the first option that cropped upon a quick Google search so this is where we went. My friends, who have no appreciation for almost any sort of liquor, sent me in alone. I pretty much zeroed in on the bourbon selection and didn't spend much time looking at anything else. I was a little disappointed that the selection of bourbon was fairly standard for any liquor store in the general midwest vicinity. Prices were standard. Service was amiable enough. Everything looked clean and organized.
