The centre is fairly small but does have some decent brands including WHSmith, JD Sports, New Look, Next, Ryman, Vision Express and Specsavers. There is also a Waitrose Supermarket and Sacro Lounge from Loungers. The car park is fairly easy to get in/out of when in a car, but I dislike how there isn't a pedestrian walkway to get to the main entrance, and it feels like you're having to dodge reversing cars, while I totally understand the need for disabled parking spots, their location seems to make it dangerous for pedestrians trying to access the mall so the car park could certainly be constructed to be better for pedestrians and disabled guests alike. The opening hours are typical of what you'd expect from a small town in England, closing at 5:30 pm Monday to Saturday, I do find this to be quite disappointing and draconian. The Waitrose inside the mall does remain open a little later, but most of the mall is blocked off, so there is only one way in/out of the shopping centre via the car park entrance, so if you may have to walk the long way around the town to get to Waitrose in that period, rather than just cutting through. 2* - Pretty standard mall in the interior, not too pretty or different to anywhere else.

Located just across the road from the fabulous Xscape, Junction 32 is the more shopping oriented venue out of the two, offering an array of discounted shops, in the form of Christy's, Gap, Gaggie, Whitard's, Nike Factory Outlet, Rockport, LaSenza, Monsoon, Mango and Mexx to name but a few. Once you've walked your feet off following the square layout of the place, there's a Starbucks to indulge in, but as Starbucks' go, this one isn't that brilliant, Thornton's Cafe, Subway, BB's and some others to recoup and gather energy back to the core. But if that doesn't just do it for you, wander over to Xscape as there are plenty of food facilities over there. Massive car park, so if you've climed into your motor vehicle, there's no worry about finding a place to park, and it's free too, nice little bonus. Open until 8 on weekdays, it's been a life saver on occasions where work doesn't permit leaving until 6pm, and everywhere's shut.

We just happened to notice it yesterday as we went for lunch at the Winery nearby (did I say our favorite restaurant in the region?!?!) Today we stopped by to have a browse on a beautiful sunny day. The area is lovely, seems to be a reasonable amount of parking nearby. It is basically an extensive, light and airy shopping arcade. Many wonderful shops like Marks and Spencer's (including their wonderful Food Hall), various clothes stores such as Primark but many upmarket ones too, WHSmiths, Boots, and so much more - eating places galore for pastries, coffee and snacks. Good experience, loved it - we WILL be back very soon (next week we are planning). Rain or shine (since it is all covered) this is a real shopping gem!

Meadowhall is a large shopping centre, located just 3 miles away from Sheffield city centre, or 2…read moremiles away from Rotherham town centre. It is the largest shopping centre in the Yorkshire and the Humber region and the 12th largest in the UK overall by retail space, at time of writing (October 2021) - if the planned improvement works happen the centre could be expanded to become the fourth largest in the country. The mall is easily accessed by all modes of public transportation: There is a public transport interchange for trains (as far as Manchester and Cleethorpes), there are also Sheffield Supertram and bus services, serving the centre, not forgetting the 12,000 parking spaces up for grabs. There are multiple places to eat inside the centre's Oasis Dining Quarter including branches such as Friday's, KFC, McDonald's, Nando's, Pizza Express, Subway, Tapas Revolution and Wagamama. If you're looking for coffee, there are multiple branches of Starbucks, a Caffe Nero and some of the department stores here have their own Cafes. The majority of the centre feels modern, there are many large shops including Apple, Marks and Spencer, Primark and Next and even a barber and a VUE Cinema. The loss of Debenhams has hit the centre hard, which was one of the largest anchor stores of the mall. My biggest problem with this is you now have to walk all the way around the car park to get into the centre from the South Tinsley tram stop because the store is closed, that just seemed dangerous and not very well sign-posted for me. I feel they should have kept a walkway open to allow safe and confusion-free access into the centre. 4*

The Lanes. The food court itself is not bad for a shopping meal..lots of noodles or pizza and an all day breakfast place amongst them. The little shops have ethnic goods, an old fashioned toy shop and film memorabiliaThe Last Picture Show. There is also jewellery (Cleopatras is nice), a hobby shop, a watch hospital and a fairy shop. Arkwrights Emporium has all the old nostalgic stuff people love..great for gifts..including Gollies. Beatles stuff Marilyn Monroe, Laurel and Hardy. Audrey Hepburn, model cars and tractors, signs with a message, and branded stuff like BETTY BOOP. GUINNESS. JACK DANIELS. JOHN DEERE etc. These little shops are, for me, the best part of Meadowhall.

They have a small section of homewares, again good prices i brought some tall bubble glasses for only 50p each! there is an enterance on the main street and at the back the enterance goes into the precinct oposite waitrose. The carparks are quite close by. The staff are very freindly and helpful they always lok smart and i never have trouble fininding a memeber of staff.

In addition, there are a couple of common places to eat like McDonald's and Pizza Hut, yet I do feel there could be a little more restaurants considering the size of the area. Nevertheless, it makes a great day out because you can easily spend hours browsing each store as you walk around from one end to the other. The retail park has a bright and modern feel to it. No surprise it is so popular with visitors, with a huge car park to accommodate.

It's easy to get to via car, being just off the M53, however when using public transport it is much more difficult, there is an irregular bus service which takes around 25-30 minutes from Chester Station. The centre is pedestrianised, clean and with a nice design after getting out of the car park. I do think signage around the centre could be improved, It can be hard if you're looking to visit a specific store/restaurant. There's free parking, but this is common with many out of town shopping parks anyway, but still, always a useful thing to note. There is a good number of places to eat and drink including Caffe Rouge, Carluccio's, Mowgli, Pizza Express, Wagamama, YoSushi Places for coffee include the usual suspects (Costa, Starbucks, Pret etc) Many of the shops do have good deals, obviously, not everything is a great deal, but you can get some low-price clearance goods here Brands with locations here include Adidas, Cadbury's, Clarks, Calvin Klein Haribo, Hugo Boss, Jack and Jones, Lacoste, Nike, Next and M&S, just to name a handful. One of the best places to shop in the area, and one of the better outlet centres in the country, they're missing a huge market though with the public transport connections being so weak. Having a better guide around the centre would also be a big help. 4* PRO TIPS: Most of the centre does have shelter to keep you dry on a rainy day, it's a place much better on a summery day, but no need to panic if you need to shop during bad weather. If visiting with kids, McDonald's is a good shout, they even have an outdoor play area right outside, and they'll even bring the food to you there.
