It's been a while since I came to Cava due to the long lines. I can drive by and see the number of people in line and Dave doesn't like to wait. We hit it at the right time where only 4 people were in line. We order build a bowl. Because the bowls can be customized, it can be a wait due to indecisive patrons pondering what they want. Both of us had the same bowl filled with super greens and black lentils for the base. I added a scoop of hummus, feta, and eggplant. Then grilled chicken for the protein. Then for toppings we asked for 9 to be added. I asked for onions, cucumber, tomato and onions, feta cheese, Kalamata olives, corn and more. The bowls were made with fresh ingredients and absolutely delicious!!! We enjoy the fresh bowls each time we come to this restaurant. If you like fresh salads and toppings, Cava is your place to eat. I was craving lamb and looking for keto options while I was shopping in the area. Found Cava and ordered their Lamb meatball and avocado bowl without any modifications. It was delicious and satiating. Lamb meatballs were juicy and well made. Everything tasted fresh. This place is kinda like high end chipotle. Prices were not cheap, but the quality of the food was not either. It is a large space with plenty of seating. Well maintained and the employees were friendly and patient. My husband picked up cava to go for me tonight. I ordered my usual build your own bowl with half harissa chicken and half roasted vegetables. When I took my first bite I had to spit it out. The vegetables had been so overcooked that they had the texture of mush. The flavor was also super off. I tried to take the vegetables out, but there was no redeeming this bowl. I had to throw it away and seriously don't think I will be able to return to Cava because I am so grossed out at this experience. read more

Listen, I love Cava, I really really love it, but.....this location is rough. I don't know if I am coming in at odd hours but, they are always out of everything, restaurant space is dirty, it's hot, lentils aren't cooked, and the staff is miserable (rightfully so) and to top it off, I never get my free pita. Raving? No way. I have only seen it busy on Sunday early. I'll tell you why There aren't many choices on the menu. Either "build a bowl" or "build a pita" or take a premade bowl or pita or a salad. and IT IS SO EXPENSIVE!! Nothing here starts below $9.17 (that's some lettuce with tomatoes, a sprinkle of feta and somebody's dressing). They are very stingy with toppings though it says "as many as you'd like" get in front of the toppings area and it says "extra CHARGE for some toppings," what?!?!?! **So I built a bowl with NO MEAT PROTEINS!!! Rice, mixed veg (taste like dry water ), pickles, tomato & cucumber mix, kalamata olives (they use a teaspoon), sprinkle of feta (please ask for extra), tzatziki sauce (best sauce they have), corn (man they act like it's gold), BEST PART =the feta & tzatziki sauce because I could taste it. Does anything sound familiar here (Moe's ??). I mean the bowl wasn't a great helping & I was very hungry after I gobbled it down. It was pretty empty inside- no wait. I haven't a clue why the employee had such an issue with me wanting "light veg" & why the manager asked to see my bowl at the register & why they looked at each other & shrugged. Girl bye! Don't get mad at me because you had to start over, I said "LIGHT VEG" not "ONLY VEG" can you hear me now?!? Geez. The falafel looks dry as heck and burnt. Look, this place needs work. Yes, if you're trying to eat healthy you may be tempted to try this fake Mediterranean fast food joint but ask what they use to cook their product in ok? It's not great. They need more food options as well. I don't think I would even rate it this high if there were more places with healthier gluten free options. This whole chain has gone down hill. They got us hooked and then started to cut servings. They are constantly out of things or dont want to stock. They have to be asked numerous times to give you what you are supposed to get with your meal or you will be missing it. The protein in my $14 bowl is so minuscule but it is a hearty price for extra, which would be fine if the meat quality was there. Over all $24 for a bowl and kids meal with no extra drinks and 1/2 the protein is a miss. All in all I would rather skip it unless I'm up against not eating while out. The lamb is very salty. I experienced the worst customer service at this location. I placed I'm order on line and was told that it would be ready in five minutes. It wasn't ready when I arrived. When I asked where it was I was met with hostility, I explained what happened and the aggression escalated. When they looked for my name they denied seeing it, once I gave them the confirmation number the attendant said loudly that it wasn't supposed to be ready until 11:45, another 20 minutes. I explained that when the order was placed at 11:00, it said it would be ready at 11:09. She then asked "Well, whatcha wanna do?" Since it was a group order, I had to wait. I would not suggest this location, period. Go to the other one. After I returned to work I discovered that my order was not correct. There's something spicy in my order that I didn't order, it's too hot to eat. I refuse to go back and have them remake it, after our earlier interaction I don't trust that it'll be a good idea. So excited we have a Cava in town! I'm not sure why this location only has the lamb meatballs but I just get the falafel since the grilled meatballs aren't available. I have gotten a bowl with lentils that weren't cooked so I called and the next time I went in the gave me a free bowl. It was disappointing but at least they made up for it. I do like ordering from the app so I don't have to wait in line and it save previous orders which I really like when there are a lot of options. read more

This was a tough review, as this spot was out of several ingredients for the pita I wanted. I secretly wanted to ding Cava with a three star as a result. Anyway, I chose another pita and I wanted to be disappointed...but...I wasn't. The ingredients tasted fresh and the flavors popped. The place was clean and minimalistic (my style). We have a CAVA in Huntsville now and I could not be happier. I was invited to their soft opening today and it is now my new favorite lunch spot! Healthy and great quality options. I don't normally post reviews but I felt like I should for this specific trip. I had only been to Cava once before this and it was an online order not at this location, so I wasn't totally sure how the ordering process worked. I mentioned this to the first person and they were very happy to help. They guided me through each step and described each topping so I knew exact what I was getting. Same thing for the second person who checked me out but to my surprise they had already paid for my food and said it was on the house simply because it was my first time. I never expected this and I was very grateful for the kind gesture. On top of that, I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the dining area which was pretty big with many tables. Great service! I've been to this location a few times and am usually disappointed (compared to the location where I came from--Greensboro NC) but tonight takes the cake. AMAZING! if you like mediterranean/greek food and healthy food well there is no doubt you will love this healthy mediterranean restaurant. From creating your own bowl or pita or salad or choosing a chef curated item you won't be disappointed. For me? it's always bowl with mainly greens like arugula and spinach with half spoon of grains with add ins like hummus, taziki, cucumbers, tomatoes and a number of other add ins. Dressings of your choice but my favorite is greek dressing and yogurt. Don't forget to get the pita on side. I was looking forward to this establishment coming here to Huntsville being that I first experienced it in DC and I was a regular frequent customer. I wasn't disappointed with the food per se however I was disappointed with the fact that I arrived there at 9:15 and they already have the proteins out on the counter behind them. Not cool. used to love it but the quality is so inconsistent that im hesitant to go back. last couple times i've placed a mobile order, they have left off half the toppings and it took 3 times as long as quoted. Also it's very common for the lentils to be actually uncooked and crunchy. If i'm not mistaken, uncooked lentils can cause food poisoning and other health issues. i feel like now that they've been open for a minute it just seems like they don't care about quality. the employees are always in a bad mood which i mean i get- food service sucks but it still makes it anxiety inducing to order. also have never gotten the free pita without physically asking for it. it has so much potential so it's just disappointing don't waste your money on an over priced bowl. read more

Food is excellent. High positive energy from employees. However there requires more efficient organization and oversight of tasks from taking orders, to replenishing food on the prep line, to keeping items (napkins, utensils) in stock. Orders may be either bowl or wrap. Same ingredients are involved in either option but the wrap slows the line down. Recommend looking at potentially having a separate wrap person take care of wraps so that the flow of the customer is as unimpeded as possible - as one of several options to make the line go smoother. There should be a timed task to review levels of napkins and other supplies- this is an easy extra task for assemblers prior to or after their breaks. Every one takes a break so everyone can be involved in a pre break supply spot check. Food items were at varying levels. It seemed that comms between service line and kitchen was one way (from kitchen). The line should be communicating to the kitchen as much as Vice versa so that supplies are not out before replenishment. We chalk the general disorganized nature of our first experience to newly opened location. It should not take major focus to improve these areas to decrease customer wait time and over all operational efficiency. read more
