Around 10a.m. on Valentine's Day I heard my name from the front of our office, and came out to see the most spectacular, huge, multi-leveled stunner of a bouquet of roses I have ever seen, let alone received. Over a yard tall from vase to top, this arrangement got compliments from every coworker- and deservedly so. The rose blooms are all huge, each one perfect, fragrant, and fresh. I love the accessory plants chosen as well, the weeping ones at the bottom feel reminiscent of Spanish Moss weeping down from ancient trees in New Orleans. My husband commented how nice it was that the delivery was bright and early in the day, so he didn't fee he had to track the delivery or worry about it arriving. I called a little less than a week in advance for a birthday delivery between Christmas and New Year's. I gave them a budget and a general idea of the color scheme, as well as a low arrangement. I Told them I want to pastel colors, but not old lady, something with some modern flowers. I saw the arrangement today at my friends house and it is beautiful. The flowers are gorgeous, the color scheme is exactly what I described, and more unusual flowers were used giving it a modern and fresh look. There wasn't a lot of green filler, it was mostly really beautiful flowers. I am really impressed with the service, as well as the polite staff who took my order. I bought a corsage here for prom. The flowers and bout were beautiful, but horrible quality! I put the corsage on at 1 pm to take pictures and by 2 pm, the biggest flower had broken off. had to tape the flower back on! The 2 smaller flowers at the front were also wilting and turning a brown color by 3 pm. The flowers also attracted may insects to and 2 of them even bit my hand. The corsage and bout together cost $35 which seems like a great price and deal at first. However, the quality is horrible, and if you want your flower to remain beautiful throughout the night, I would suggest not going here. read more

I recently placed an order for a nice Valentine's Day arrangement. It's a great choice always puts a smile on my lovely wife's face. After Cattails took my order and confirmed it, they had the audacity to call back and say "we raise prices during Valentine's Day so there will be a price increase". They had take-it-or-leave it attitude. And the price increase was....wait for it...34% price increase! Opportunistic! Making more margin and profiting off the holiday rush, even though I ordered the flowers 4 weeks in advance! Very poor form - especially since they accepted the order! This is the last year I will place an order with CF. Sad too since my wife loves their arrangements and they have great flowers and arrangements. read more

I placed an order of half dozen red roses for delivery to my girlfriend's workplace in San Ramon for her birthday. I did the day before and it shown that it'd arrive the next day. Fast forward to the next day (12/20/17), no roses shown and it was near 3pm. I tried to find the email confirmation but couldn't. Uh oh. Did the order not go through? I somehow messed up during check out? Cold sweat. Turned out the email went to my junk folder, so make sure you check there if you don't see it in your inbox. I was about to call the venue to ask when the flower finally showed up. My gf almost went home. The roses themselves were very fresh and beautiful; the arrangement was pretty and showed attention to detail. They lasted about 1.5-2 weeks. My gf loved it very much! Overall I'm very pleased with the flowers. The order technically arrived within the next day but it'd perfect had it arrived a bit earlier. In any case it's not a big deal since I did save some in delivery fee vs another florist I used in the past; $13 vs $20. I'll be glad to use Cattails Florist again in the future. read more

So far I've purchased 2 pre-made arrangements and had one custom bouquet made at Cattails Florist and all were fantastic. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and make sure you get exactly what you envisioned. And the prices are surprisingly reasonable considering how stunning the flowers are. The flowers typically last 1-2 weeks, which is rare. If you have extremely high standards for flowers, Cattails will not disappoint. I plan to buy all my flowers there in the future. read more

My elderly family member forgot to order flowers and tasked me with the responsibility. I need a very small arrangement with 24 hours notice, and I offered to pick up because of the short time frame. Sent restaurant photo of room with some arrangements to Joan, who commented photo's decor was too tall, which we agreed. She said she could do better. When $330 arrangement was done it was TALLER than the sample photo. Guests could not see across the table- really dampened conversation. When I sent photos to Joan and pointed this out she just apologized for miscalculation- no offer to refund $75 or even 75 cents. My advice is to go somewhere else.. read more

After moving to the area several years ago, we have been using our local florist and trying to support our local community. However, the last time my husband used them, we were very unsatisfied. He ordered flowers for our wedding anniversary to be delivered to my work. What arrived was the following picture, which cost almost $80. It literally had (I counted) 3 roses. He was so embarrassed and upset after he saw the picture that we went out and bought me a much nicer arrangement for a lot less. So, he emailed them because they have a 100% guarantee, and he was expecting much better customer service than what he received. The owner, Joan, told him there is a cost per stem for each rose and that's why there were so few. I'm sure 3 roses didn't cost 50 dollars, but whatever. They did not offer to give him a refund, only a $50 dollar store credit. Why would we go there again after having such a bad experience? After a few days, he replied and they said they couldn't do anything since he took a few days to respond. It was our anniversary and we went away, which he explained during his reply back email to them, but Joan never responded to that last email and never tried to do anything more or rectify the situation. One of the reasons we frequented this location was because we assumed that our local businesses will have better customer service, but apparently not.
