Do NOT hire Tommy Maiolo as a private investigator, Period !…read more When you try to interview him questions on the phone, BEFORE you give him his $2500 retainer fee, he is VERY defensive and he is very hesitant on answering your questions. One of the principle questions on hiring a PRIVATE Investigator would be "Do you have three(3) references you can give me?" Tommy Maiolo became VERY hostile & nasty on the phone, and said to me "Of course I am NOT going to give you ANY references!!, I've NEVER had anyone ask me that question in all my years!!" That was the first and only time I asked Tommy that particular question. I then asked Tommy Maiolo "What hours do you work?" Again Tommy Maiolo responded in such a impatient, defensive and nasty voice "I am NOT going to tell you what hours I work!!" I followed-up with "Do you work 9 to 5 ?" Mr. Maiolo answered with "Look you do NOT tell me how to do my job !!" Again, that was the ONLY time I asked Tommy Maiolo that particular question. I asked Tommy Maiolo, "Do you have a license to practice as a Private Investigator?" he responded to me, "Look, you are asking me too many questions, you are being very needy!!" Again, I only asked Tommy Maiolo this question only one time. If you look anywhere on Google, you will see the advice on hiring Private Investigators in regards to an Investigator providing work References. This is what you will find --- probably the Number #1 FIRST question you need to ask is " Do you provide references?" "These references should include past clients who can attest to the PI's ability, professionalism, and success" "If your PI does not provide references, it's a red flag that probably means that they are either inexperienced or are often unsuccessful". "Be sure to look into private investigator's references to make sure they have a proven track record of success." "In this way, future clients can make an informed decision" Not only would Tommy Maiolo NOT answer if he had any references, But Tommy, in his response is hostile, defensive, impatient and a good indicator for the disregard on having any productive relationship on working with this guy. SAVE YOUR MONEY, look elsewhere
