    They have free accounts and super easy auto loan policies which is nice…read more On auto loans, if you need to skip a month, you can pay a tiny fee that allegedly goes to charity to skip the month with no fines or hits to your credit. That is pretty nice. If that is all you want from them, they are 5 stars. They have terrible rates on savings accounts and things like money market accounts. Go online and get "high yield" savings or money market accounts. They pay at least two orders of magnitude more. If you want a mortgage, run away screaming. "The home of the no-frills home loan". Some time ago, I got a mortgage here. It was relatively pain-free and quick which is good. The bad parts? It was a VA loan and didn't participate in any state programs for first-time buyers which would have been so helpful to me. The VA even allows a small bit extra for energy upgrades. Nope, Numerica doesn't do that. If you are a first-time buyer and want to take advantage of state programs, look elsewhere. The worst parts? I forget the loan officer's name but she was rude and very condescending. She even mocked me during close when I was very nervous and asking questions. The escrow company made a mistake in the paperwork they sent over to Numerica, which blindly forwarded it to me. It stated I would get a lot more money back, then I put in escrow. I crunched the numbers and found the error. The escrow company self-corrected and Numerica sent the correct version to me. No problem? Wrong. Since Numerica sent the email, I responded to my loan officer and said the numbers were wrong. She replied that they were correct and when she sent the updated documents I asked her what went wrong and she pretended that nothing wrong happened. She is a complete, unprofessional clown. The absolute worse thing, which is unforgivable is that Numerica prattles on about how they are a small credit union and not an evil large bank. So what did they do with my loan? Sold it to one of the most incompetent and evil banks in existence: BB&T. After they told me they were selling it to a local broker. Now, you may not know BB&T. They are a large southern bank, as evil as Bank of America and twice as incompetent. They keep screwing up my escrow account, making me pay hundreds more every month than I need to cover P&I, insurance, and property taxes. On the order of $2000 a year more. Every single year, they screw it up and the last screwup took over a year to fix, and the "fix" is a smaller over-payment but an over-payment nonetheless. I think next year, they will refund about $700 for the year if I stay with them. So they are slowly getting better, I guess. Of course, that is money that sits there, with no interest. I need to get rid of my escrow account, it is a scam. Being a bank from the southeastern US, there are no branches and no offices anywhere near Spokane and of course, they are difficult to get a hold of. Happily, I am going through refinancing with a competent and ethical local credit union and so will be ditching Numerica and BB&T forever.

This review surrounds Drew's dishonesty regarding the availability of a black cabinet sample of which both it & a brown were offered of the same name titled "Ridgestone-Oak". Our new build was complete March of 2024, with design selections solidified August of 2023. Drew untruthfully insists 2-identical brown "Ridgestone-Oak" cabinet samples currently displayed at Greenstone's River District Design Center are the only samples ever offered. This is an outright falsehood; either he himself replaced the once offered black sample with another brown one shortly following our dispute initiation, or an employee was directed to pull the originally offered black. This is evidenced by... 1. Our photos of all design selections made August of 2023. 2. Geoff Christensen's (Greenstone's Superintendent/Customer Service Representative) possession of the disputed black sample while with us in our home acknowledging the distinct color discrepancy between it, what was installed, & a brown sample's availability at the Design Center under the same name. His sharing he'd recommend the black be pulled due to it not being representative of what was installed. And his assurance, "Don't worry, Greenstone will make things right." 3. Jeremy Nichols' (Greenstone's Sales/Project Manager/Broker) knowledge of the availability of both colors as we made design selections & his assistance in choosing a black. His email to Wendee Kelly (Greenstone's Designer) while in our home prior to its closing with Geoff & black sample in-hand comparing it to what was installed, acknowledging "it doesn't look the same, is very dark, & looks almost painted in color" inviting Wendee to drop by. 3. And finally... Our Realtor's testimony to Drew that a black sample was indeed an option along with a brown, of his presence during our design selection appointment with Wendee, his conversations with both Jeremy & Wendee specifically pertaining to making certain the black version was selected, & emails from them both confirming. We became aware of Drew's cover-up when Geoff brought with him to a collective Huntwood Custom Cabinets meeting (of which we were informed was initiated to determine which company was going to remedy the error) their newly replaced brown color sample; NOT the disputed black. Pictures of this brown sample were taken next to the installed brown cabinets DESPITE our stating it was not the black sample to be brought for comparison. We now know why... This was a Greenstone/Huntwood picture-capturing moment to avoid accountability. These pictures are what Drew's using to close our case & avoid fixing their costly mistake, concluding "the slight color variances are within range". The now sudden withdrawal of support & cooperation from the above mentioned Greenstone Homes employees to further engage with us & remedy our issue deeply shocks & saddens us. Drew's informed us he's their boss. We've yet to hear from any of his superiors at Greenstone. To conclude, we are beyond appalled & astounded at the treatment by all. We had not asked that Greenstone replace the cabinets; that seemed costly. We simply asked that they brush a black stain onto the exposed areas, & at a time convenient for them. Drew's cover-up attempt & outright deception trail following closing is the most disturbing factor of all. It's soured greatly our home-build experience & perception of the entire company. Posting of our experience on various review sites, a BBB filing, & small claims court preparations are our only recourse to help warn others of this apparent business practice when confronted with a significant error on their end. If they choose to right their wrong, we'll update our review. Photos attached. ARBITRATION HEARING CONCLUSION (8/26/24): "The Arguments of the Consumer were overwhelming and prevailed in this case."     Do not use STCU for a home loan. We've had many issues over the years. During COVID and my…read moredivorce, my ex was court ordered to pay the mortgage, but she didn't. I was in constant contact with Kevin at STCU because I was advised by my legal team not to make the payments. Then I found out that Kevin was trying to auction off my house (during COVID). I paid the arrears, thousands in legal fees and late fees. Fast forward two years, I've been on autopay for my mortgage payment for the current amount due each month. Recently, our mortgage payment increased by $13.26 per month (property taxes). STUC didn't process the last payment for the current amount so it left a $13.26 balance. They charged us an $87 late fee because their system didn't pickup the change in the monthly mortgage amount. Frankly, this should be illegal. I called them, they argued with me. Finally, they let me use my once in a lifetime late payment waiver. As soon as interest rates come down I will leave this bank. I am also going to contact the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to make a complaint. The home Loan department is the worst for it's customer service and taking advantage of its customers.
