When I got pregnant I started seeing Dr. Quinn who is just awesome. She is friendly, knowledgeable and above all else makes you feel comfortable. I waited 20 minutes at the window before with no acknowledgment Parking is $3 minimum after validation and most times my appointments were less time than the process of getting to the office My care seemed more like checking the boxes of what they are supposed to do than actually having a conversation and caring for me! again my first two encounters were wonderful and the doctors were very engaged and my last few appointments were the complete opposite where I felt like just a paycheck overall cannot recommend this office

I first came here in July to meet with Dr. Brown. I had a GYN surgery in late June…read more Unfortunately, that wasn't successful. Dr. Brown did my second surgery back in late August (although it seems like yesterday). He was very good at telling me exactly what was happening. He kept me in the loop and explained everything in simple terms. He answered any questions my Mom and I had. After my surgery was done, he went out and talked to my Mom and explained what happened. He also didn't seem to mind me talking about my cats. When I went in for my post-op appointment a week later, he asked me about them. I also feel like Dr. Brown's thorough and cares about me. I think he felt bad for me when I told him how 2 of my cats kind of acted like punks after my surgery. One of them knocked my glasses case off of my nightstand the night of my surgery. When I bent over to pick them up the next morning, I had pain bending over. One of my other cats jumped on me when I was in bed and stepped on one of my incisions. I plan on seeing Dr. Brown for my yearly exams from now on. I went in yesterday for another post-op exam. He asked me about my cats again. I was a little emotional talking about one of them, Mac, who got really sick last year and passed away. He treated me with dignity, respect, kindness and like a human. I feel lucky.

The front desk staff NEVER answers the phone. If the patient volume is that high (with 5 doctors on staff, I imagine there is a high volume of patients), then they need to hire more front desk staff. When trying to schedule an appointment or ask a question, the phone rings through to voicemail and they (eventually) call you back. They close the entire office for an hour for lunch. I have never seen an office this big do this. When I worked in a medical office with 5-7 practitioners, the front desk staff rotated their lunches and someone was always available to answer the phone. I am currently pregnant and have tried for the last three days to reach a human being at the front desk to schedule my first prenatal appointment. No luck. I guess I'll try again tomorrow. Although I like Dr. Baclawski, I am trying desperately to find another office that knows how to run a successful business and take care of their patients.

As nervous as I was being my first pregnancy- the Doctor put me to ease right away. He is kind, makes me feel comfortable and always answers my questions. Although he was off duty BOTH times I delivered my children, Dr Amankwah was the one who made sure I made it full term. The ladies in his office who help him are amazing and you can tell they enjoy being at work. I would recommend not only SDMG for your health needs, but specifically Doctor Amankwah as well.

I first called to get an appointment, the lady on the phone was very short and rude. she said the…read moresoonest she could schedule me was nearly two months out so I took the appointment. day of, I show up nearly half an hour early to be greeted with more agitated staff. upon walking into the empty waiting room and approaching the counter one lady just slams her window closed and points to the other window without looking up. the lady at the second window seemed annoyed to even have to speak with me, then says my appointment was canceled. I asked how, why, when because I was never notified. she claims calls were made a week ago and a voicemail was left. I even open my voicemail to check and I have absolutely nothing left to notify me. The lady at the desk wouldn't give me a note for class until I asked to speak to someone else. I've never had a worse experience with an appointment and would highly recommend anyone go anywhere else.

We were flying blind on this one, not knowing the healthcare 'situation' taking place in New York, and probably many other states as we were moving from Virginia finding a Doctor is easy. After 2+ hours of phone calls and searching I found CNY Womens Healthcare. Mind you many facilities I called weren't taking new patients at all, or not until well after my due date which is mid August. Obviously I can't go the rest of my pregnancy without prenatal care. Spring was the first woman I spoke to and she was incredibly helpful...we move around often due to his career and encounter all kinds of people. Never have we met such kind, and friendly people like we have since being upstate. Next person I spoke to was Miss Mary, we stop at her desk everytime we leave the Doctors office, they made getting booked and explaining some of the things about the practice, and area a new couple in town might want to know. They went above and beyond. We live an hour away in Sackets Harbor and even after having to go in for some repeated tests to make sure I and our baby are alright. I still wouldn't go anywhere else, so far all of the nurses, Doctors and NP's have been great to us. I have faith that our first born is in good hands. Thank You Miss Spring, Miss Mary, Bobby, Valerie, Dr. Monnet, and Dr. Bailey. Our next visit is with Dr Doan, and were only 8 weeks away from delivery. I couldn't have asked for a better group! I am sorry others have not had the same experience but am glad they found what they were looking for in the end. That's what it's all about healthy women make healthy moms, daughters, sisters, grandmothers etc.

I really like my doctor but you get scheduled with all of them depending on who's available. The Sonó lady in room 3 is by far the best (blonde with glasses). She really tries to get a good picture of your baby. The others rush through your sonó. Getting to see your baby is the best part and it would have been nice to get a somewhat good photo. I don't like how they take blood In The room up on the high angled patient seat. One nurse refused to let me sit in a normal chair even after I told her I have fainted when I have given blood before. She was so rude. The nurses also don't answer the phone. Like ever. You have to wait for a call back which is sometimes frustrating. Also the receptionist at exit, desk furthest from door is not easy to work with. I tell her I need later afternoon apts and she gives me a hard time about it every single time. The others are more than willing to accommodate. Sometimes the wait to see a doctor is terrible. I waited 45 mins multiple times and the nurses never even came back to check on me to let me know it was going to be a while. I thought I was forgotten. I do like it here overall and will continue to come here even though it's a bit of a drive. Just some feedback for improvement!

I mostly go to the N. Syracuse office, but have had occasion to visit both the Fayetteville and James St. locations as well. In all three cases, the waiting areas are comfortable and the office staff I have encountered has been friendly (if a rushed) at times. And any calls I have made to the nurses' line have been connected quickly and those nurses are wonderful to talk to. I have seen three practitioners over the years, Dr. Kavety being my main provider. She is young, no nonsense, and you can tell she keeps up to date in her field. I've also seen two of the nurse-midwives, Jane Fields and Elaine Mielcarski. In all three cases, they are compassionate, careful, considerate, and non-judgmental. They have always given me options for my care, and are happy to discuss any questions I might have. Dr. Kavety has also been happy to help with me non-gyno issues - such as smoking cessation and cholesterol checks. She really is awesome. Going to the gyno is never something that one looks forward to - but it's as good as it gets here. They ARE a busy practice, and with good reason. I can't speak to their obstetric care, but as a healthy young woman, this practice has been great fit.

During my last pregnancy, I repeatedly expressed concerns about my symptoms -- including leg pain -- and felt they were not taken seriously. My blood pressure was not properly monitored, and just three weeks before my due date I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and preeclampsia, which was extremely concerning. Now in my second pregnancy, less than 10 weeks in, I've already experienced enough frustration with the lack of consistency and attentiveness. At this point, I decided to leave the practice, and I'm relieved that I did.

Also they have little to no knowledge of NYS law when it comes to transferring records to a new doctors office. I am so thankful to be out of this office and going to an office that does not hang up on its patients, and then ignore them when they call back.
