I stopped here on a recent motorcycle trip. There was limited indoor space available, but we did manage to find a table on the bar side. I thought this was well worth the stop. The food was better than the average bar fare, but really doesn't have many surprises on it. We stuck with burgers and other sandwiches, and no one left hungry or disappointed. One of our friends loves this bar so we usually stop when we are in the area... however I don't love it as much as he does. The service is okay but not super attentive and the couple times I've been the menu isn't really my preference. The menu did change between the times I went. It is Irish based and again it's not really my preference. Friend really loves the beers... I don't drink beers... Last time we were there they were unfortunately suffering from supply shortages like many restaurants are right now... unfortunately they were literally out of every appetizer we wanted to eat. The location and parking was great. The service, not so much. I ordered a cosmopolitan and was promptly told by the bar tender how much she hated making that drink but she would. Then she brought it and I am not sure what she used to make it but it was not cranberry juice. I managed to muscle it down. The table smelled like dirty dish water. The Cathouse is the go to when you decide to hit Arkansas on your motorcycle. The bar always seemed geared toward riders. The beer selection is good, and the food is pretty good too. I will tell you this; they do have the best Ruben in the Tri-State area. But like most places in Eureka they are pretty overpriced. I ordered a Miller Light $3 not bad, and a chicken and fries basket "$9" they should have called it the "Fries and Chicken Basket." The majority of my plate was fries with 4 pieces of chicken a little bigger than a McDonald's nugget. It was all pretty good, but portions were of, but their batter is pretty amazing. They usually have live music at no cover, and a couple rooms for rent above the bar "also a bit pricy and mind the steps." Still a must stop when in Eureka. We came back as an anniversary getaway and were completely let down. The beer selection was minimal, food was mediocre and the service was awful.
