The owner is very experienced in the variety of literature and biblical history and the store has a wide variety of difficult and hard to find texts. Pricing is quite reasonable and the selection is awesome. Have purchased 3 times and will return again. read more

Ed is amazing and the Cathedral Store's selection is top-notch. The best Catholic shop and bookstore anywhere.

Nice selection of all Catholic Needs. Rosaries, pouches, books, statues, pics. Not a big selection on Baptismal gifts. Only the owner works there, so the line is often long. But I like to give small businesses my business, so patience is important. read more

Good selection. Not a big box store. Family owned. Local businesses need our support.

Good news: I found exactly what I wanted: a beautiful medal at a fair price. Not-so-good news: the old man behind the counter pretty much ignored me as I approached to ask about the medal I sought. After I got his attention he showed me several and led me to a counter where there were others. I try to maintain courtesy in these instances. No telling what hardship any salesperson is undergoing. Bad health? On the brink of poverty? General disgust with a crazy world? Boredom? One never knows. Best wishes to everyone who is having a hard time. Life can be difficult. read more

It's a charming little store with a surprising amount of religious goods inside! I found books, art, rosaries, liturgical clothing, and many other surprises. After speaking with the proprietor, I learned that the store has been operated for many years by him and his wife. Sadly, she passed last month, and now he is doing it by himself. If you are Catholic, I think there is something in this store that you need, whether you know it or not. I was just browsing, and found the most beautiful rosary meditation book, really lovely, and helpful in keeping focused and inspired during prayer. Check the hours before you go, as they seem a little reduced due to recent events. read more

Cathedral Store - Wonderful book that I purchased - Religious Items Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Service - I feel the owner is responsive and very approachable. Take a moment to ask how they are doing. At times the store becomes quickly crowded and it's worth the wait. Selection - best (and last existing) local religious gift, clergy needs and book store. I love the broad selection. Value - to be able to look and sort through exactly what you want is worth it. Buy local and support our local vendors goes a long way. In the end, getting something from online click-and-fill delivery does not stay here and supports a non-local or even out of US entity. Consider it, local friends. [Positive] Critique - maybe extend selection to include Protestant related items for selection variety. LOVE this place! It's the last of its kind. read more

The Cathedral store has a good selection of religious items. Staff is friendly and helpful .

Nice and attentive owner, and lots of options for different occasions and price ranges!

I was really excited to find this store. They had everything I was looking for. However, for being a catholic establishment , their two workers are not very friendly or patient. They might want to revisit their customer service issue. I don't mean to be rude , but especially walking into a religious store you expect to see a warm and friendly welcome. read more

I can't see how he does it on his own, but service and connectivity always outstanding. I always find something Gods led me to here. Love the small icons and gifts to have for that special encounter or patient needed boost. This is the last of our kind....love the store and pray he keeps going while I'm here. Appreciate the connection! read more

Nice store, employee/owner was nice. Selection was good. Value was fine. Yes, I recommend this business

I love visiting this store, run by local community members. They always have beautiful gifts and books for every occasion. I have grown my liturgical living with items I have found for my home to teach my children about our rick faith and traditions in the Catholic Church. Thank you for being here! read more

The place in San Antonio for Catholic books and gifts. The owners are wonderful, helpful, kind and focused on customer service. They maintain a tremendous inventory from the simplest of pamphlets to the finest hand carved statues. They carry everything you would see in Mass and a great array of seasonal items and a dizzying amour of Sacramentals. read more

Store is beautiful and they have a wide selection of anything you may need from a catholic/christian store. I bought my mother a final super wall decor for her birthday and she loved it! read more

Cathedral Store - Final Super Plaque - Religious Items Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

I have found what I look for when I go to this store. When I call to ask for items, however, the customer service is... disappointing :( I try to be as brief as possible but I feel as if I'm wasting their time. I've called twice in the past month asking for bibles and their response is very (very) brief, just a "no we don't", or "yes". I love the store, and I feel bad that is getting such bad reviews just because of the customer service. read more

I visited this store a while back and was told they didn't carry black clergy shirts for women unbeknownst to them that I had already received one with their return receipt. Sad, sad, sad. read more

Lady talks down to you like your supposed to know what everything in the store. While in the store heard her talking down to her husband like he is dumb. Nice stuff but if you don't want an attitude go somewhere else read more

I really like the store! Great selection! If they don't have what you need, they will get it pretty quickly. Really like the books, and the art is awesome. read more

I walked in searching for incense. There was a man behind the counter who wouldn't look up from his electronic device. We asked for assistance. His demeanor was that of a grump. He could have easily made a sale if he put in just a small amount of effort when it came to customer service. I was not familiar with the product and spilled a small amount of what resembled potpourri. He came around the corner and froze in his tracks and made a huff. Instead of giving us assistance he went to get a dust pan and broom. We left disappointed. read more

you would think a catholic store would be run by friendly catholic people. Wrong. Very rude customer service, I was yelled at for making a return. Exactly what you would expect from a catholic establishment. Very disappointed and will not be returning. read more
