Good news: I found exactly what I wanted: a beautiful medal at a fair price. Not-so-good news: the old man behind the counter pretty much ignored me as I approached to ask about the medal I sought. After I got his attention he showed me several and led me to a counter where there were others. I try to maintain courtesy in these instances. No telling what hardship any salesperson is undergoing. Bad health? On the brink of poverty? General disgust with a crazy world? Boredom? One never knows. Best wishes to everyone who is having a hard time. Life can be difficult. read more

It's a charming little store with a surprising amount of religious goods inside! I found books, art, rosaries, liturgical clothing, and many other surprises. After speaking with the proprietor, I learned that the store has been operated for many years by him and his wife. Sadly, she passed last month, and now he is doing it by himself. If you are Catholic, I think there is something in this store that you need, whether you know it or not. I was just browsing, and found the most beautiful rosary meditation book, really lovely, and helpful in keeping focused and inspired during prayer. Service - I feel the owner is responsive and very approachable. Take a moment to ask how they are doing. At times the store becomes quickly crowded and it's worth the wait. Selection - best (and last existing) local religious gift, clergy needs and book store. I love the broad selection. Value - to be able to look and sort through exactly what you want is worth it. Buy local and support our local vendors goes a long way. In the end, getting something from online click-and-fill delivery does not stay here and supports a non-local or even out of US entity. I have found what I look for when I go to this store. When I call to ask for items, however, the customer service is... disappointing :( I try to be as brief as possible but I feel as if I'm wasting their time. I've called twice in the past month asking for bibles and their response is very (very) brief, just a "no we don't", or "yes". I love the store, and I feel bad that is getting such bad reviews just because of the customer service. read more

I walked in searching for incense. There was a man behind the counter who wouldn't look up from his electronic device. We asked for assistance. His demeanor was that of a grump. He could have easily made a sale if he put in just a small amount of effort when it came to customer service. I was not familiar with the product and spilled a small amount of what resembled potpourri. He came around the corner and froze in his tracks and made a huff. Instead of giving us assistance he went to get a dust pan and broom. We left disappointed. read more
