I had some health issues that knocked me out of my workout routines for almost a year, and completing my second online degree in the wee hours kept adding to pounds/inches. And being 51, menopause, auggh. I knew myself well enough that I needed a boost to get me moving in the right direction. I'm now on my second unlimited month package for Torc/Sauna. This location has awesome staff and management; so friendly and they really know the machines well for getting great results. I'm so much more relaxed now, and stronger in all the areas we treat. She explains what's going on in your body, what that means for you (or your sport), what to do about it, and why. This isn't the "lay back and we'll fix you" type of place. They expect you to do your assigned work and, as long as you do, you'll see marked improvement. I went in originally for a bad groin pull from doing the splits in hockey. It's a recurring injury for me, but I'm much older than when I played in high school or college. Even when I was younger, this injury nagged me for months. Sticking to the plan Katie laid out, though, I was skating with no pain (and no fear) in 5 weeks. Not too shabby!

No face to face meetings w doctor or staff, meal replacements that you can easily buy on your own, and if this doesn't work for you, absolutely no refunds or accommodations. In my case, an upfront payment of 5k got me the privilege of purchasing meal replacements (which you can easily purchase on your own), zoom meetings every two weeks, blood work, and an rx for phentermine. Within about a month, the entire program staff turned over and I had no idea who I was assigned to speak with on zoom every two weeks, nor did the zoom meetings ever feel helpful. Needless to say I've had better results with pretty much any other meal replacement program I've tried, and not paid 5k upfront for. Optavia requires no upfront 5k payment, the meal replacements were WAY tastier/better, and the community/coaching are pretty outstanding in comparison to MedFit. I have multiple doctors in my family and all of them say this doctor gives them a bad name. Lesson learned. If a doctor makes you pay upfront and makes you sign a contract saying absolutely no refunds, regardless of your patient experience or outcome, that is a gigantic red flag. Dr Tran has had multiple opportunities to make this right but maintains she's entitled to my money regardless of service delivery or outcome or patient satisfaction.
