Although we had many different venues to choose from, this venue was spectacular looking and several friends had said the food and service could not be outdone anywhere. Marty and Les did not disappoint us. From the planning, to the tasting, to the organizing and the big day, everything was taken care of. We had originally scheduled for Fall 2020 however the pandemic made that date not workable for our celebration. Marty was super-flexible and we were able to easily move the date. Questions were answered quickly. Their experience showed through - every contingency was planned for - and there is nothing that could arise that they could not handle - we all felt confident that we were in good hands. And no 'nickel and diming' either - everything was included - including the liquor. I was at the temple early on the big day to meet our florist. I mentioned to Marty that the lectern needed to be moved to allow for construction of the chupah. I came back to the chapel a few minutes later and it was already done! When a relative asked for a pot of hot water to warm a baby bottle, she did not have to ask twice - the request was handled immediately! Our guests raved about the hors d'oeuvres, the entree, and of course the service. The waitstaff answered questions such as 'what is that?', 'is it gluten free, dairy free?', 'is it spicy?' etc. At end of the day, my daughter was thrilled (and that's what really matters), her friends were thrilled, the groom and his family were thrilled. No mistakes, no mishaps, no issues - from the time we entered the chapel, until we drove away late that evening - the event was flawless. And my wife and truly enjoyed the event, not worrying about anything, because we knew Marty, Les and their staff had it all under control! You couldn't possibly go wrong using Temple Emanu-El and Northern Valley Affairs. Highly recommended!!

What we needed was 6 meals over 3 days for 7 (that's what we thought at the time) people. Two meals would be eaten out during that time. Monique was instantly responsive to my call and within hours had a beautiful and reasonably priced menu for approval. It was so good I didn't even edit it. Double Dees even put together a list of local restaurant options for our meals out. Our event went seamlessly in great part because of Dwight & Monique at Double Dees. Our group of 7 turned out to be 8 at the last minute. No problem! they told me. And made it happen. On our last full day together we realized there was no time in the schedule to go out to lunch as we had planned. We've got this! they said and threw together a light, and delicious meal what seemed like instantly. We didn't even discuss the changes in the contract, but the additional work and food was reasonable as well. Excellent service, refreshing and delicious food, on the spot problem solving and truly lovely people. I couldn't ask for anything more, other than, call them for your catering.
