I'm not sure when, but they put in new chairs that are more comfortable than the ones they used to have. Airport is clean and laid back. Staff is cool. Snack and beverage vending machines are the food options. Although, the airport is near Distrito T-Mobile and Gran Bahía Restaurant. Paid parking (I posted a pic with the rates). You can also take a cab or Uber to and from here. I really like flying to Culebra from here. It's in San Juan which makes it much more convenient than driving to Ceiba for the ferry or airport. That said, flying from here is more expensive. But I find it worth it because of the convenience. When we can fit it in our budget we prefer it. The trip takes about 30 minutes, maybe a bit more. The best part is the view. You get a great view of Old San Juan and Condado upon takeoff and landing. Plus the view of the northeast coast. Awesome.

To get to the island of Vieques, one has several options, and here they are: 1) Drive (or take cab) an hour to Fajardo and take a ferry 2) Drive/cab to fajardo and fly 3) Fly out of SJU 4) Fly out of Aueropuerto Isla Grande Options 1&2 require a long drive. I've heard the ferry can be very intermittent, and if you're going to fly, why not fly out of San Juan. Flying out of SJU is more pricey. This leaves Isla Grande. Yes, this airport is super small, but this is what makes it cool, unique, and more cost efficient. Yeah, you will step onto a plane, it is going to be a tiny plane where you can basically look over the shoulder of your pilot (I guess if you needed to, you could help him fly by taking the co-pilot's seat. Boarding is trouble-free and takes no time at all. The airport is also fairly close to Old San Juan, and a short cab ride. Overall this is the only real option for getting to Vieques or Culebra.

We saw different sights like the Antiguo Prision de la Princessa, the Paseo de la Princesa, Fuente Raices, Paseo de Los Presidentes, Castillo San Felipe Del Morro and many other sights. The driver did Mariza did a great job getting to the places we visited safely and timely. She did a great job navigating those streets and getting us as close to the places as possible so that we would not have to walk much. Our tour guide Aponte was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He made the tour even more interesting than it already was. Great tour! We met the boat crew around 545pm as the ride starts at 6 and goes 90min. We paid $257 for 2 adults and 1 teenager. We left on time and the crew was great. They provide you a snack plate of grapes. Turkey sandwich wrap, baby bell cheese and pretzels. You also get water, soda or beer free as part of the tour. You get to see old San Juan, irs bldg, morrow castle, governors home, along with other sites. The crew of 3 has a captain, first mate and tour guide. The play music in between sites and bring the tour group into conversations on history, where they are from snd if they are celebrating anything. We walked and walked. It ended up being about 10 miles for the day. It was well worth it. The trail tells about Spanish rule and the building of the fortification. The walls wrap around most of old town. Just remember to stay hydrated. We saw people being tended to by medical personnel because they were not hydrated

Excellent visit to Castillo San Cristobal…read more Admission is $10 but is also good for admission to the nearby Castillo San Felipe del Morro within one day of your visit here. So be sure to take advantage of this perk. The castle contains some great exhibits providing details on its history. It also offers some really amazing views of the streets and buildings Old San Juan...very unique. Note that there are some hills (some steep) and steps throughout the castle and its grounds...so pre prepared and wear comfortable shoes. Great location just steps from the streets of Old San Juan with tons of food options and other attractions. A short walk from the cruise port.

In fact admission is free if you already purchased a ticket to Castillo San Felipe del Morro so it's a no brainer to see both.Even though they're both historic forts, San Cristóbal had its own personality. It felt like there was always something new to discover around the next corner. I also loved how many incredible views there were throughout the fort. Between the ocean, the city, and the impressive stone architecture, I found myself stopping often to take photos & just soak it all in. Before heading out, I stopped by the gift shop & found a cool souvenir (a stuffed coqui that makes its signature sound)for my niece. It was such a fun,cute little keepsake to bring home. The atmosphere was amazing, everyone dancing and singing and the drinks were very good. Our Mixologists name was France. She gave us a tour and showed us some of the warehouses and how the rum is made/ stashed in the barrels. She also gave us the full history as to how Bacardi came to be. She showed us how to make a PROPER Mojito and Daquiri. She taught us so much stuff that it puts everything into perspective. It was such an amazing time. Trip Advisor recommended arriving early to enjoy the welcome drink, and we are glad we followed that advice. The drink was excellent, and the on site grill gave us a chance to try some local cuisine before the tour began. There were also plenty of great photo opportunities around the welcome center, which we took full advantage of. Our tour started promptly with our guide, the very charismatic France. She mentioned she was new, but she carried herself like a seasoned professional. Her mix of humor and Bacardi history made the tour engaging and enjoyable. We saw the exterior of the factory, explored the museum with its artifacts and displays, and watched a short film about the company's legacy. At the end of the tour, we sampled premium Bacardi blends and then visited the gift shop. The tour lasted about an hour, which felt just right. The gift shop was well stocked with a wide range of items, including many varieties of rum. My only critique is that the shop does not accept cash, which is my preferred payment method. Even so, I purchased a nice Bacardi cigar ash tray with my credit card before we walked back to the welcome center. From there, we went to the ride share area and took an Uber to the Catano port, where we caught the short ferry across to Old San Juan. That spontaneous add on turned out to be a highlight. It was fun, scenic, only twenty minutes, and cost four dollars for two people. It was a great bargain. Overall, the Bacardi tour was fascinating, informative, and very enjoyable, thanks in large part to France and her energy. I have only positive things to say about Raul--he is an amazing person and helped us end our vacation on a lively and memorable note! He also took many photos for us and even joined in on some of them. Raul was on time picking us up in the morning and was very pleasant and professional. Our destinations during the day included the rainforest, a natural waterslide, a delicious food kiosk, the beach and a bio bay tour. Raul has a wealth of knowledge about Puerto Rico and its culture and was very enthusiastic and energetic throughout the tour. It was evident he truly loves what he does. He also has a great sense of pride in his home and its history. While I most definitely enjoyed the delicious food and wonderful sights and experiences, Raul himself left a profound impression on me. He is one of the most genuine, humble and hardworking people I have ever met. He has a terrific sense of humor and was very easy to get along with. After spending a few hours with him, I felt like he was part of our group of friends. At the end of the tour when he was officially "off shift," we invited him to join us at a small neighborhood bar near the condo at which we were staying. After a long day, he could have chosen to decline and go home; instead, we shared a few drinks and stories and lots of laughs. It was a fabulous ending to an epic day!!

Fifty people from our community went on a cruise together and we used Natural Wonders for an excursion. The tour was excellent. They easily handled a large group. We had Alicia as our tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable about the rain forest and Puerto Rico in general. We used 2 buses and the 2nd driver was equally as knowledgeable. The tour was punctual, very comfortable conditions and the price was reasonable. I would highly recommend using their services.
