Aware of our issue, Rocco and Joel came to our home twice to assess and remedy this situation for us. As a team, they analyzed the chair stuffing and structure, devising a solution in close consultation with my wife. Taking the time to make this work, their actions were successful. Recovery happened. We called upon them again to assist in covering a scratch on a leather chair. Once again, expert outcome. They were easy to work with, got the car in their shop in just a few days, and got it back to me with 24 hours. The quality was great, and Rick even went above and beyond to reinforce it so the same tear wouldn't happen again due to a plastic piece inside the seat. I went to another shop first who said it was impossible to fix it, and the only option was a complete new cover for $800- for less than a quarter of that I've got it taken care of. I would recommend taking your auto upholstery needs here.

I sent Upholstery Unlimited photos of the two pieces of furniture that I wanted to have recovered…read more They called back with an estimate of the cost of labor and the amount of fabric needed. That all sounded reasonable to me. We made an appointment for me to come in and pick out fabric. They have lots to choose from. As I narrowed down what I was looking for the sales lady helping me called to get prices - the fabric I liked the best was $92/yard. I needed 18 yards for the large piece so the cost of the fabric alone would have been $1700 plus cost of labor at least $1400 = $3100. I was also told if I found fabric at a lesser cost they would charge me a $15/yard cutting fee to use fabric I didn't purchase from them. That all sounded fishy to me. Bottom line I was able to source the SAME fabric from another fabric store in Lockport for !/2 the price these robbers were going to charge me. That store also gave the name of a few upholsters that they recommended - one which I hired to do the work. So now labor is cheaper, estimated less fabric, purchased a different fabric that I like better at the Lockport store at an even better price and this guy will not charge a cutting fee. I am getting the work done for almost 1/2 of what these theives at Upholsters Unlimited wanted to charge me. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF. Shop around you will be happy you did.

I would strongly caution that you DO NOT contract TMC Restoration for any furniture restoration…read morework. TMC grossly overcharged, and their workmanship is extremely substandard: * TMC refinished my dining table although it looked good cosmetically the entire table collapsed during a dinner with 10 guests. The dishes and food spilled on the floor and on guests. * TMC refinished and reupholstered my 8 dining chairs. The screws used for the cushioned seats were too long and protruded under the pressure of people's weight. Some guests suffered discomfort. * TMC refinished my antique tea wagon. The stripping and refinishing were substandard, and it was returned so unstable that it is no longer usable. TMC refused to provide a reasonable financial adjustment. Incredibly they refused to take responsibility and claimed that natural wood movement, my uneven flooring, or misuse may have caused the dining table to collapse -- a claim that is totally ridiculous. I have contacted the Ontario Ministry of Consumer Protection to complain about TMC's misleading discussions, poor workmanship, and discussions that led me to significantly overpay for work not completed to agreed standard. We are considering further legal action.

Unable to do restoration on Lazy Boy Chairs. Hired to reupholster chair, but mechanisms were…read moreruined. Unable to lift legs to height of seat and back did not recline without second person pushing it down! The seat itself and lumbar region was like concrete although discussing with salemen requesting soft, with down which they do not use, but not unbearably firm like sitting on a rock. When checking the chair in warehouse, before delivery, told it must return to Lazy Boy for the mechanical repair as they do not do. (as they just make all insides not function). Beware, do not go there. Lots of upholsterers out there so much better and will take care of the inside and outside. Linda F.
