My boyfriend left extremely unsatisfied with the way the barber cut his hair. He had no idea what he was doing and seemed to lack the common sense of giving a person a haircut. The haircut was not symmetrical and he didn't blend the fade (asked for a skin fade that faded into a 1). Save yourself the hassle and DO NOT COME HERE. Btw my boyfriend's hair is his identity and now he is thinking of going bald based of this experience.

Decided to try somewhere else and luckily found this place. It's inside the arcade nestled between restaurants and cafes. It has a retro, old school feel despite it being around for only 10 years or so. Bobby, the owner, has been cutting hair in a barn for years and finally decided to open shop here. I opted for my usual medium fade, 3 on top, 1/2 on the side and 0 at the bottom. I have never been so satisfied with a simple fade. It even came with a hot lather straight razor shave at the end to clean up my neck! The true gem is Bobby. He wears a vest, shirt, and tie and is very personable. I've been going to Nesi at Professional Hair Designers just about every month for the past 4 years…read more In my (albeit biased) opinion, there's no better barber downtown. Technically, it's a three-chair shop, but you want Nesi. Tell him what you want once, and he'll remember what you like from then on. You'll get a shampoo, cut, straight-razor shave to line up the edges, a scalp massage with product, and a steam towel to relax your work week away. Then, he'll take the time to double-check his cuts after your hair dries. Trust me, the man won't let you leave unless everything is perfect. Two tips - first, bring cash. I've never tried credit, but cash keeps it smooth. Second, call ahead, at least a week in advance. Wait for the week of, or day before, and you might be left out in the cold. He's busy, and the shop isn't open on weekends.
