Knowledge is everything when it comes to fixing pain. Dr Jarrett has everything I'm looking for as a 68 year old skier and kite boarder to keep me going. I have always been a skeptic of chiropractors. Since childhood, I have always heard "once you go to a chiropractor, you have to go for life or you are going to be jacked up". Even on the 90s sitcom "Martin", when Gina's father (who was a chiropractor on the show) cracked Martin's back and he said he felt great, I still just didn't trust it. Fast forward to 2017. At this point I have been having back issues for the past 5 years (probably from letting my small children jump up and land on their butts on my back!!!) i have had so many visits to the doctor to get muscle relaxers and pain killers, which basically just helped me sleep thru the night. I had enough at this point and just wanted the pain to stop. I shopped around for the dreaded chiropractor until I found one that accepted my insurance. After a few internet searches and calls, I settled on Jarrett Chiropractic. I had my initial visit with Dr. Booth to check range, pain level, etc. When the treatment plan came back, she was talking about coming 3 times a week until we see an improvement. First thing that jumped in my head was the negativity I've heard about these bone manipulators, but I reduced it to twice a week, and was giving them one month to cure me. Guys, I'm not going to even lie to you, I felt amazing after the 3rd week, and by the end of the first month, I went down to once a week. My treatment is done, pain free for about 2 months now, and I make it a point to go once a month, just to may sure everything stays good (not because I have to, but because I want to). Both Dr. Booth and Dr. Jarrett are the real deals. If you have back issues, you WILL NOT be running marathons after the first few visits. But if you stay with it, you WILL feel amazing after you complete your treatment plan WITHOUT medication. I haven't been to any other chiropractor, so I cannot compare, but if you are looking for a good practice, you can stop your search here! read more

Dr. Jarrett is absolutely the best chiropractor in the area, and most likely in the state of Virginia. A friend had referred me to him after learning of my many problems. My occupation is extremely physical and has taken its toll on me over the last two decades. I have been to chiropractors before and then I stopped because the treatment was too aggressive. After an appointment, I would walk out in worse shape than when I entered. The catch is that my family doctor didn't help either. He would just check my reflexes and prescribe a handful of pills. The first impression when you walk into Dr. Jarrett's office/clinic is of a medically competent firm, exceptionally clean facility, and that it is staffed with friendly, professional people. Dr. Jarrett is obviously very knowledgable and offers a whole host of therapy options. On my first appointment, I was in terrible shape. I honestly thought that the pain and damage was permanent. I was walking like a stiff senior citizen, and I'm not even 50. After talking to me, assessing my pain level, and doing some diagnostics, he decided that an X-ray was necessary for an accurate diagnosis, and to make sure that there wasn't any major damage. This surprised me. Even when I injured my back to the point of not being able to walk, my MD did not ever X-ray me. The X-rays were taken right there in his clinic, and he discovered that I have some protruding discs and bone spurs. He applied the appropriate chiropractic techniques, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, stretching/traction on his "space age" chiropractic table, and low level laser therapy. I felt relief after the first appointment. After the fourth, I was beginning to feel normal again. Doctor Jarrett is a master of chiropractic. He also adds other therapy options based on the patient's needs and condition. He has absolutely made it possible for me to keep working at my demanding occupation, as well as enjoy my favorite past times. No matter if you are a star athlete, a blue collar laborer, a dancer, a senior citizen, or anyone suffering with pain, Dr. Jarrett can help. With no surgery (which would have cost me down time), no drugs (can't operate machinery while taking pills), and no negative side effects, I am whole different person from before. I now have an appointment once in a while for a "tune up". Everyone is so friendly, and I feel so much better afterwards that it is an absolute pleasure when I do go. If I had known before I ever went there I would have never gone. If they go over a payment plan with you they will tell you one price, but no one will tell you when you've reached that cost. When I finally decided he wasn't helping me, the end cost was more than doubled. They couldn't help me, but kept telling me stories about how it would help, but 3 months in and still no change. They are just looking for your money, that's all they want from you. I would steer clear of Jarrett Chiropractic if I were you. read more
