Our driver met us at the end of the pier when we got off our tender. Ron Lowder was an incredible driver was an enormous amount of information since he's lived on the island for so long. He was not only informative but interesting. We enjoyed the tour very much. It is more than I usually spend on an excursion but so well worth it. The only thing I wish we could've done was spent a half hour at the botanical garden. My suggestion would be that you could charge a little more and add another hour to the tour and allow people to walk around the garden. read more

***** 10 STARS TOTAL On Sunday, June 15 our friend Annie had booked a Catalina Island Golf Island Tour for us through this company. Only having been to Catalina twice, once when I was 9 and then in 2024 I was completely unaware of the history of the island & what was on it. Let me start of saying the staff is amazing. Our original tour was planned for the 14th of June & I woke up with food poisoning that morning, very sick. I mean who needs a beach vacation when you can spend it worshiping the porcelain god. I managed to make it onto the Catalina Express only to turn around & leave. I was devastated, I thought we were going to miss out on this great adventure but I just couldn't hang. I called & texted the company, hoping, praying they'd show some compassion and they did. They were so kind as to let me reschedule for the following day. I wish I knew who I was messaging but I never got a name as well as the sweet lady that called me. So, we make it to the island on Sunday morning. I was feeling 100% & ready to go. Our tour guide Leticia met us at the discussed location at 9:15 sharp. She was very sweet & concerned that we had missed our prior reservation, but happy that we made it. I mean she was so nice I wanted to adopt her. I can't even tell you all the places we saw. So much to take it. Letty was very knowledgeable having been a resident of the island for 35+ years. Anything we asked she knew the answer to. Just to name a few, we saw the house Norma Jean loved in during 1943/44. Catalina Chimes Tower, Wrigley Memorial, Pet Cemetery, House in the shape of California, the Wrigley Mansion, and so much more. Educated on the gas prices on the island (Holy Moly), the wait time to bring a car onto the island, educates us on the Bison on the island. She offered to take our photos throughout the tour which was so thoughtful. I mean who doesn't love a good photo op. I can't say enough about her, she was an amazing tour guide. Our friend Annie was correct, everyone here was great! I've already recommended yall to a few friends who will be visiting during the summer. I'd like to thank everyone for their understanding & compassion when i became ill, yall are amazing! Letty, keep up the great tours, so glad we had you for our guide. You rock!! read more

Dudley is one of the warmest and passionate tour guide we ever met. We definitely gained so much knowledge about Catalina Island going around Avalon city for two hours. Dudley picked us up then we started off right away from the historic building in Avalon. He also made sure we feel comfortable by providing us blankets (we came during winter time, so the weather can get pretty cold). He also gave my kids some bubble toys to make the tour more interesting for them. We drove to East and West area of Avalon, made some pit stops to the only school in Avalon, Bird Park, the Casino, golf course, even the gas pump in Avalon. My granddaughter, daughter & I went on an adventurous 2 hour tour guided by Letty, She is interesting & personable, she spoke about interesting topics like Wrigley's mansion and his gum empire that really started as a soap business! Watching Letty saying "hi" to the other locals made Catalina a genuine unique experience, not just a tourist trap! The golf cart tour was the last thing that we did, & I'm so glad that we went on the guided tour,instead of renting a golf cart & trying to see the island ourselves. Took a tour with Elizabeth for my sister's birthday celebration. She had a birthday sign on the cart and everyone kept wishing her a happy birthday which she loved. Elizabeth was accommodating with our schedule and as a local provided a lot of knowledge that made out tour very memorable. I had considered renting a golf cart but glad we did this instead. The weather was perfect and the tour went to places not accessible to golf cart rentals and she was able to take pics of us that would not have been possible if we were on our own. We were referred to Guided Golf Tours by the visitor center after a few unsuccessful attempts through other options (busy holiday weekend should have planned ahead‍). Elizabeth squeezed us into a last minute appointment. We had a large group so we needed two carts. Both Elizabeth and Leti were our tour guides. They were very accommodating to our kids even provided bubble wands, fish feeding food and snacks. Their energy was contagious and had they both held a wealth of knowledge on the history of the island. We were able to see so many hidden sites that we would have missed trying to explore on our own. So they were in full communication the entire time via text which was very convenient. Once we were connected with Dudley my entire family we felt very comfortable in his presence.
