Catalano is definitely ready for retirement. I know he's dreading it but when you've lost the ability to communicate effectively and gain the trust of a patient, it's time. I've been around medicine my whole life and I've never seen or heard of a veteran physician approaching a case so obtusely and without repercussion, full stop. Not even one star. Dr catalano was very condescending and rude. It was like ..what are you doing here! I never thought I would ever say this about any Dr. I said I had severely cut and sprained my big toe last year and it is still swollen. He said that was normal. I said you told me to come back if the swelling did not go down! I said I also have very painful calluses on the bottom of my feet and could hardly walk. He said I would have to live with it. I than said " I have done a lot of reading about this and it would say a Doctor would advise me. Am at the wrong kind of Doctor?" If you are looking for a doctor that is going to remember you or think to look at the chart and pretend to remember you, run far away. Not only did Dr. Catalano not recall seeing me, he asked me to tell him what he diagnosed me with 7 months ago. I am pretty sure he should have paid me the copay and not the other way around. I went for a sprained ankle that had (prior to injury) had chronic pain associated with the last time I sprained it. I saw him for the chronic pain 7 months ago, and he had no recollection of this visit. Unfortunate. read more

Sent my wife to him for follow up to a plantar fasciitis problem that has settled in the ball of her foot. She came out angry and almost in tears. She said he was condescending, rude and abrupt. Said he couldn't give her any injections, that "we all are getting there and sometimes we have to live with these things" He only offered her a boot after she became angry and questioned him how he could help her with this pain. His reply was "I know my medicine" , maybe he does but he is a jerk, has zero interpersonal skills and by other reviews has no respect or use for woman. This doc was an absolute waste of time...and money. The only positive was that it was easy to get an appointment - but maybe it's because he has no patients. He was hurried; told me i had only calluses and that he was doing me a favor by removing them. My foot pain continued after seeing him. I went to another doctor, who actually took time to ask me questions and resolved my issue. Seemed to me that Dr. Catalano thinks his patients are idiots or hates his job. read more

Dr. Catalano and his whole team were amazing. I have had painful tendonitis and he quickly assessed my problem, provided me with what I needed to heal, and educated me on the entire process of recovery. By far the worst dr experience I ever had. He could have cared less about my issue and then charged me for a $500 boot I never received.

I came away from my appointment empty-handed. No advice about how best to proceed. No clue how far along my arthritis is. No offer of a follow-up visit. Foot still hurts as much as ever. He was in and out pretty quickly. Got the feeling my being there was more of an inconvenience than anything. Decided it best to find a doctor who can actually help me. read more

Went for a toe infection. Had to wait an hour after my scheduled time to be seen. Then once I was, he was very rude and made me feel stupid. Was in and out in seconds. Not a friendly environment. Plan on taking my business elsewhere. read more

I was very satisfied with my care under Dr. Catalano for a minor medical issue -- about a half-dozen visits. Scheduling an appointment was easy and there was never a long wait in the waiting room before seeing the doctor. He was informative and approachable, and best of all, my medical concern was fully resolved. read more

Tough business..My friend a retired GP and another friend, a retired nurse, were discussing the operation Dr. Catalano did to remove bone spurs on both of my big toes (which, six months after the operation, ache). They both agreed that "feet operations are tough, and seldom are 100% satisfactory". Dr. Catalano is an empathetic, professional podiatrist, not a miracle worker. But prior to the operation he showed me what he was going to do, he did it, then showed me xrays of the results. When I came back in six months later he had taken the trouble to look my charts up, remembered me, and gave me practical advice. read more
