Finally you can leave town and not feel guilty. Been leaving Mariah here we drive up from the tacoma area to bring her here. We use to leave at the vets and others in pur area, but they boatd dogs also, and shes a indoor cat with no dogs, and freaks out, at cat country she has her own room places to climb, large windows to look out of. Hard to get her to leave. I have nothing but good things to say about Danielle, who has taken over management of this business from the previous owner (Carol). Back in March of 2020, I was living in NYC with my cat, Leo. The pandemic situation was deteriorating very quickly, so I made the decision to fly across the country with Leo to stay with with my parents for at least a few weeks. The only problem? My father and sister are both extremely allergic to cats. Enter Cat Country Resort! I booked a ticket on Saturday afternoon for a flight on Tuesday morning, but even with that short notice Danielle was happy to be flexible and find a spot for me. I was scared at the prospect of leaving Leo in a kennel for so long, but every interaction I had with Danielle before dropping Leo off reassured me that he was in good hands. When it became clear that returning to NYC after only a few weeks was not an option, she was totally happy to have Leo stay as long as I needed. What was supposed to be a two week trip turned in to a four month extended visit, but it was never a problem. She regularly sent me pictures and videos to confirm he was still thriving. Plus I was able to visit Leo on weekends, something that definitely would not have been possible at most other kennels. I know Leo was not Danielle's only "COVID kitty," so he even made friends while he was there! I seriously cannot recommend this business enough. Although I truly hope I am not in a situation that requires emergency boarding again, I would absolutely board Leo here again if we were to return. We boarded our 17-year-old cat with Carol for the first time because this time, when we went out of town, we felt he was not well and might be at the end-of-life, but were not certain. His vet had not recommended putting him down, and we certainly would not have done so for our convenience. However, we couldn't leave him alone at home, with only a house watcher checking on him periodically, so after extensive research we chose Cat Country Resort because of the cheerful accommodations and Carol's experience as a veterinary technician, and we are so grateful that we did. When Carol ascertained that Otto was declining, she called us with regular reports, and we all agreed he needed emergent attention. She took him to our vet, who confirmed he was in the end stages of renal failure, and after additional phone conversations, we all agreed he should be humanely euthanized. He died peacefully in Carol's arms. This may seem to be strange praise for a cat kennel, but we found the attention, knowledge and support we needed at the most critical stage of our cat's life when it was not possible for us to be available for our dear pet of nearly two decades. This business is amazing. Our daughter came home with her cat in March to quarantine and my husband is allergic to cats. Danielle was so accommodating and welcoming. She was willing to let us drop Leo off late, depending on when our daughter's flight arrived. Leo ended up staying with Danielle for 4 months. She let us visit Leo whenever we needed to. She communicated with my daughter often about his care. It felt as though Leo was staying with Danielle's family, and not in a kennel. The facility is clean and beautiful, full of light and windows, and Danielle lives right on the property, which made us feel really good. Her prices are very reasonable too. Excellent treatment of my kitty over Christmas! He had a room to himself overlooking a beautiful garden full of birds and flowers for him to watch all day. Plus he got to get out and run around the big kitty jungle gym room. This is a cottage on the property of woman who owns and runs the Cat Country Resort so she is always nearby to the animals and very flexible with drop-off / pick-up times. Great staff, clean facility, excellent prices. When I picked him up, my kitty was sent home with a stocking full of new toys and treats. Not sure he wanted to come with me! ;) I'll definitely be returning. read more

We love the Cat Country Resort. Carol, the owner, is warm and welcoming (and always puts our minds at ease when we drop off our beloved cat.) In fact, whenever we pick up our cat, she seems reluctant to leave! The facility is in a lovely spot with very nice views to the gardens for our cat's bird watching needs. read more

We moved here a year and a half ago and I usually just leave my cat at home on vacations and have a neighbor come and feed her. But our new home doesn't have air conditioning and we don't really know anybody that could watch her up here. So I have been looking for a good place to take her. I wish I knew about this place last year because I took her to a kennel that also had dogs that barked all the time and no AC. And she was in a really small cage with no windows to the outside. I just asked my vet if they knew of any place and they mentioned Cat Country Resort. So I called and we went and had a tour and it was exactly what I dreamed of for my cat. Nice big rooms, with windows to sit in and look outside at the birds and trees, They even have AC. And a nice little play area for the cats. I like that its a cat only place so no dogs to bother or scare my cat. We just got back from a camping trip and my cat really enjoyed her stay here it was like a 5-star hotel for her. The owner is very nice and takes wonderful care of the cats. They are very reasonably priced too. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to board their cats. read more

It is never easy to leave your cats when you need to leave town. That was the case until we found the Cat Country Resort, owned and managed by Danielle. This place is caring, clean, bright and extremely well managed. Our cats Stanley and Pinky shared a spotless room with a large window, bathed in sunlight. Danielle and staff treated them as if they were their own. When I went to pick them up, I noticed a definite reluctance on the cats' part, to load up and come home. Picked up my friends cat end of April to take Smudge home with me. I was very impressed with the facilities and the owners. Smudge was happy and content (she's a bit of a princess and not always easy to please). I will now be taking my own cat, Bagherra, for a two week stay I'm very uneasy to please) and feel very comfortable about leaving him with Carol. read more
