Dear Rick and Team, Thank you for the outstanding job…read moreinstalling our new fence. We are extremely pleased with the results. From start to finish, your team was professional, courteous, and hardworking. You arrived on time, efficiently removed our old fence, and had the new one installed in what seemed like record time. The quality of your work and attention to detail truly exceeded our expectations. We greatly appreciate your dedication and craftsmanship. It was a pleasure working with a reliable and professional team. We will recommend your services to our friends and family. Thank you again for a job well done! Kim C

This is the 4th time we have worked with Reuben Borg Fence. They provide professional, quality work…read moreevery single time. Gerald came out to estimate our back fence which conveniently (not) decided to lean over into our neighbor's yard. We accepted the estimate, did one change order (to add extra feet), and settled on a construction date. Today, Gerald, Saul, and Reuben arrived on time and with everything ready to go. Saul and Reuben are amazing! They worked tirelessly all day, communicated so well, and were cheerful throughout. It was wonderful to have them around. I couldn't believe that they were able to put in a 2' retaining wall and 25' of fence in one day - so much digging! When they left, everything was clean and nice. I'm including a photo, but we are the ones who stacked stuff in front of the fence to keep the dog from getting into the setting concrete. If you are considering fence work, I highly recommend Reuben Borg Fence and especially Gerald, Saul, and Reuben. Thank you so very much!

Gerald from RB Fence came to look at the job and provide an estimate. His quote was very detailed, much more so than any of the others we received, and it was the only quote to include a Split Invoice Addendum form for dividing the cost with our neighbor, enabling us each to pay separately and having the amount of each share clearly documented. (This was particularly important because we agreed on an uneven split.) RB Fence was the only quote that came this way, and it really was a selling point, because it made things easier for us. On the day the work was to be done, the crew arrived on time and immediately got to work. We were surprised by how quickly they got the old fence down and the new one up. Gerald came by partly through the job to make sure we didn't have any questions and things were on track. I appreciated that he took responsibility in that way. The job was completed in a timely manner, and the new fence and two new gates look terrific! Working with RB Fence was the best choice for this job.

California Fences (CA License #1099301) caused documented property damage to my private patio at…read more1900 Lynwood Dr Unit C in Pleasanton during a fence replacement project inside our HOA community. During removal of a fence post, their crew broke multiple patio pavers, displaced perimeter bricks, and exposed concrete footing. This patio was professionally installed and represented a significant investment. Photographic and video evidence of the damage has been preserved. The on-site supervisor stated there was "no way" to remove the post without causing damage. That statement is inaccurate. This is the second time fencing has been replaced at this property, and prior licensed contractors performed the same work without damaging the finished patio surface. Since the incident, I have: * Contacted the project supervisor multiple times * Left voicemail messages * Contacted the office directly * Attempted to reach ownership No response has been provided. As a licensed California contractor performing work within an HOA community, California Fences is responsible for property damage caused during the course of work. I have formally requested their General Liability insurance information and written confirmation of repair. I prefer resolution over escalation. However, continued non-response will leave me no option but to proceed through formal channels including CSLB complaint and civil recovery. I am requesting immediate contact to resolve this matter professionally.

Great crew, but communication and supervision need improvement…read more The crew that installed my fence did a great job, and the workmanship was excellent. Unfortunately, the experience with sales and the supervisor team was frustrating. I was told in writing that installation and staining would be completed in one day, only to learn after installation that staining required a separate crew and additional days. This should have been communicated upfront. My $5,220 quote was also $500 higher than a competing quote getting work done in the same week. After raising my concerns and dealing with some frustration with the supervisor team, management stepped in and made the right call by reducing the price by $300. Ultimately, the crew deserves credit for their great work, and management deserves credit for making things right. Better communication and coordination upfront would have made this a much better experience. Four stars for the quality of work and management's eventual response.

FCR was the quickest to respond, easiest to communicate with, and the most professional. They treated my small job with the same care as a major project. They confirmed a time window of 8-9 am and sent reminders before the work day. True to their word, they arrived right at 8 am. The fence is now standing straight and looks as good as new. Also, while discussing the fence repair I brought up my busted side gate and he gave me a good price on a steel framed gate, which sounded much better than the wood framed one I had. Melvin, Eduardo, Mauricio, (and a 4th guys whose name I didn't get) did a great job. Clearly these guys are technicians and not just laborers. They measured twice (maybe 3 times) and cut once. Everything turned out great! I'll use them again and have already passed their contact info on to someone else.

Thankfully, Yelp has been super helpful with our search for a contractor and we landed on using Garcia Fencing. We reached out for a quote and the contractor Kenny was quick in setting up a time to come over for an initial assessment (discussed what needed to be fixed and what style of wood (board on board)/stain to fix with) and quote of the overall cost. Let's just say the overall project to replace all the backyard fence can be pretty expensive but we received a reasonable estimate. It only took them about a little bit more than half a day to get the entire fence replaced which was super impressive. We did end up having to call them back another day to do some additional fixes for some gaps on the fences that we noticed but they were able to come to fix those up. The new fence did end up looking very nice and sturdy! The stain really does make it look very polished and clean.
