I checked into this hotel on December 14, 2018 and was given a rate of $315 for 4 nights. They…read moretook off an authorization for the amount. On Monday night I extended for 1 night and was quoted 79.83. I went down to the front desk to have my card swiped. And keys reset and the manager on site who name is Derick was rude as ever. On Tuesday morning my daughter gets a call from the front office that my card had declined for the payment and that we needed a card on file by the end of day. I called my bank because I knew that we had more than enough funds to cover. After speaking to my bank and confirmed that funds we're authorized for the total amount of my stay I did a conference call with bank and the manager Derrick who argued with me and the bank teller who was explaining to him that those authorizations were held and all he needed to do was release them. He stated to bank you're the damn bank you fix it. During the conversation the general manager walked in and took over the conversation and he couldn't find the payment on the hotel at first but went to credit card transactions and saw the holds for the funds that way and stated Thai owed $80 and that I would be good. On Tuesday night I called to front desk to extend for 2 days and was quoted $147 for the 2 nights I transferred the money to account and went to front desk and was told that card was charged for that amount Later on in the evening I had noticed that they had only taken 79.83 so called front desk and spoke with Stephanie and asked why had they only taken that amount she asked the manager Derrick and he said that everything was ok and they had everything under control. The next morning my daughter gets a call that our card was declined. So I call front office to ask what do you mean? He said that we owed 80 I was frustrated so I paid 60 over the phone and told my daughter to go down to pay the remaining $10. She goes to front desk and was greeted by Sarah Who is the owner my daughter tells her I'm here to pay $20 on room. She goes uh no. First you need to pay for last night and was rude to her. So I call from work and talk to Sarah for her to be a owner and in the hospitality business she talked to me like I was crap and even though everything was her staff fault she tried to talk me out of staying other night there since bridges had been burnt! Smh. I spent over $600 and the treatment my family and I got was terrible! It's sad because people should not be in this business and act the way that they did! Horrible horrible customer service and dirty rooms

Great experience, and great customer service. Will definitely be back if ever in the area again…read more Thank you to the staff for being so accommodating.

This place is not perfect, and it has some problems, but it is great for location, for price, and,…read more(for the most part), service. After all, when you stay at a hotel, you mostly just want a place to park for a while, right. So, the location is very good. It's right across the street from the outlet mall, and very, very close to great variety of dining establishments of different kinds. It's also just a few miles from downtown Castle Rock, and free parking! But, take Front Street, not the highway, to get to town. It's just as quick, and you'll avoid the wild traffic. Turn on Fifth, head West two more blocks, and there's ton of free parking with no two hour time limit. A lot of the parking in town is limited to two hours. What you need to know about this place is: 1) The walls are thin. If you have noisy neighbors, you will hear them. If people are loud walking down the hallway, you will hear them. 2) The breakfast they offer is about the same as you will find in most similar restaurants. 3) You will have access to coffee and tea 24 hours a day. 4) They do not recycle. 5) The place is not fancy, but it is neat, clean, and fairly well kept. 6). Most of the staff are very nice, and accommodating. 7). They do not have town maps at the desk, but you can get them at the friendly visitors' center in town - in a building that is rumored to be haunted! 8). There is plenty of parking, and the parking lot is safe. You might witness deer wandering nearby, too. We did! All in all, this is a good place to stop on your way through town, but it is not a destination.

Three cheers for the Hampton Inn Castle Rock! We have stayed…read morehere twice so far and love it. It's close to food and shopping. The rooms are newly remodeled and comfortable. There are plugs all over the room, plenty for our connected family of 4. There's a lovely couple that manage during the day- I can't say enough that they put their heart and soul into their work. We were here during the snow storm and the area lost power overnight. Not the hotel's fault but they did everything they could do make sure folks had food available in the morning and offered additional blankets without having to ask. We're eventually moving to the area so have additional trips planned. We won't hesitate to book again. Thank you!

One night around 830pm I was downstairs next to where my vehicle was parked, having a phone conversation, out of the blue an older model Mercedes pulls up and asks "do you have a room here" it was dark outside and I answered "yes I do" he says "which one?" And I looked at him and said, I'm sorry. But I don't know who you are, I don't want to share that info with you. He then states that I look homeless and asked for my room number again after which he claims that he "owns the property" I let him know I will show him my room key because I don't feel comfortable, he drove off. About 10 minutes later he comes back around the building with an evil smile and keys in his hand, he says "do you know what this is? Master key! I can open any room I want to!" I said I don't feel safe giving you my information and he laughed and said that I shouldn't feel safe, as he opened the door, he stared at me and laughed making me feel very uncomfortable. We still had another 4 nights at the hotel which made it very scary. 0 stars if I could... honestly the worst hotel customer service I've ever experienced. the "owner" seems very prejudice from my perspective. I do not recommend staying here.

I don't understand what all the negative reviews are. Ok, I understand one that I'll mention later…read more We get here just after midnight on Tuesday and checked out a couple minutes ago. It's an easy place to get to from the highway and located among a few eateries. Pros: Good size parking lot. The hotel itself smelled like it was freshly cleaned with no stains on the carpet or trash inside or out. Our room was double twin beds with comfortable pillows, the ones I can sleep on all day. The bathroom was clean again without the stains. But best of all? The refrigerator!! Wow that fridge is cold. But such a beautiful thing when it's 96 outside. This hotel is a basic hotel with basic amenities. If you were wishing for a pool with spa services, go elsewhere and spend more money. No guarantee the staff will be awesome or even subpar. The checkin went realtively easy. He was friendly. I requested top floor end room and we got one perfectly situated to the back stairs. Thank you Super 8! :D Cons: When we called for a do not disturb sign, the lady that answered sounded annoyed that she had to do work. And the checkout could have been a bit more personal; how was the stay? Instead it felt that she wanted us out, even though she was on the phone. Recommended? Yes. I've never had a bad experience with the Super 8 chain. The parking lot was full when we arrived which means they must be doing something right. Yes there may be other better options in town at a higher price, but when your only stay one or two nights, save your money with these guys.
