The Castle Hotel, in the peak district stands as the main hotel in the village of Castleton. The bar is warm, inviting and friendly although it can often be difficult to find a seat as the bar becomes very busy with hikers and tourists. The meals are delicious, if a little expensive but are all home cooked with fresh local ingredients. The hotel restaurant is a great place to dine, very traditional and comfortable and the service is of a very high standard, it is a great place to drive out to on a warm summers evening. The rooms in the hotel itself are very comfortable, with jacuzzi's if requested and the view up to the castle is magnificent, if a little eerie at night when it is lit up. read more
