We went through a remodel of part of our home. I was given Ian's (owner of Montana Solid Surface)…read morename by a friend. We were having our shower redone and I wanted the walls of the shower to go to the ceiling. Ian met with us and brought many samples of the material I chose. Once I picked the color, he went to work. We had many different contractors doing many different things. Ian was in constant communication with us, which I found is not the case with a lot of contractors. Ian's work is quality work, no problems whatsoever, and always wanted to make sure we were happy with everything he did. We were very happy. I, unfortunately, used another company for the vanity countertop before I knew about Ian. After the countertop was installed I asked if they were going to caulk around the countertop and was told they don't do that! Ian offered to do it for me and did a beautiful job! I asked Ian how he would describe his business and he said "Solid surface is hard to describe. It's main residential purpose is countertops. There are really so many uses that most home owners don't know about. Obviously shower surrounds, even cabinets and to a point furniture. I like to think there's nothing that can't be done with it. It also works for outside applications." If you are looking for shower surrounds, countertops, etc., give him a call. You won't be sorry!

My brother in law sent a customer of his into Finstads to order tile for their project. The tile…read morefinstads ordered was extremely expensive, $50 a sq/ft. After the installer looked at the tile, he determined it would not take the "slope" of the shower pan and would "lip" out because it was too large. Finstads sales staff suggested the tiles and said they would work. Finstads refused to return or exchange the tile without the customer paying for the complete return and exchange. Their expertise picked out the tile, they should stand behind it and eat the cost themselves to exchange for the proper size. I suggest taking your business elsewhere.

I can't tell you how much I loved working with Cotton Construction. I am in LOVE with my new home…read more The building process can be exhaustive yet exciting. They continuously showed up supportive while happily navigating my wishes, our budget and the aesthetic we were going for. Not only did they build the home of my dreams but I made some very amazing friends in the process. The owners, folks in the office and the builders are professional and good human beings all around. I am pretty shocked by some of the negative reviews. We all have our own experience but I can tell you that this company is genuine and cares deeply about their clients. I've felt it and I've seen it with some of their other clients. If you are looking to build a quality home and to work with the best of the best, then Cotton Construction would be my first and only recommendation. Thank you team! We are endlessly grateful!

I feel compelled to share our experience with Cotton Construction to help other homeowners make…read moreinformed decisions. Unfortunately, our project with this company was marked by significant issues that have led to long-term consequences, including health and safety risks. Throughout the construction process, there was a consistent lack of knowledge and oversight, resulting in multiple deviations from the approved building plans. Despite raising concerns repeatedly, critical details were ignored or handled incorrectly, many of which were foundational to the integrity of our home. Even more troubling, poor workmanship and improper construction practices led to conditions conducive to mold growth. Moisture intrusion, lack of proper sealing, and careless installation of building materials created a hazardous environment. These are not minor cosmetic issues--they present serious threats to both the structure and our health. What's most frustrating is the company's failure to accept accountability or take appropriate corrective actions. Rather than working transparently and professionally to resolve these concerns, we were left managing the fallout, including costly remediation and the emotional toll of navigating the mess they left us with. They wrote derogatory words on our walls, leaving us in disbelief of their actions. Which, we have photos of. This is a small example of their character. In my opinion, this company is unqualified for responsible home construction. If you are considering working with Cotton Construction, I urge you to do thorough due diligence, request documentation of past projects and--most importantly--retain a third-party inspector at every stage of the build. Truly, being the president of the HBIA means nothing when you perform the work they do. This review is based solely on my experience and observations and is intended to inform others who may be entrusting their homes, health, and finances to a builder.

I have nothing but great things to say about Kyle and Next-Level Fencing…read more First and most importantly they return the phone call, they actually showed up when they said they would for the quote, kept me up to date on the progress of materials ordered, and showed up promptly for to finish the work. With the rapidly changing weather Kyle made sure he came back to check on the stability of the fence. His price was right in line with what I checked around with, but he wanted to do it now which was great. Fixing shitty work quality by Dave's Fencing, I would use Kyle ten times over these other companies.
