A problem arose where the nursing staff nor I could figure out how to disable the breaks on the wheel chair. Stephen saved the day. He went from his taxi into the hospital ward and managed to disable the breaks so we could take my granny home in Stephen's wheel chair equipped taxi. He's a legend and also has a great sense of humour. Would highly recommend this service to everyone.

I got to enjoy the tunnel twice on the Dublin Express bus. Two tunnels of two lanes each, the lowest point is more than 98 feet below. It's the fourth longest urban motorway tunnel in Europe. Amazingly, there are telephone signal repeaters so my phone worked great even if the GPS got a little confused. During rush hour, the toll is €12. Off peak, it's an easy €3.50. In theory it is suppose to make the North to South journey swifter and more futuristic! But, come on, this is Ireland, and it does neither of these things. It opened March 5th 2007 and a few hours later had to be shut! But, still, it is a pretty cool road. It is 4.5km long and is the largest ever roads transportation project in Ireland and I hope they learnt their lesson and will never attempt something like this again! Two 'one way' tubes connect Dublin Port to the M1 and the National Roads network via the M50 at Coolock. The toll is 3-10euro each way depending on day and time and can be paid at a cash booth or at a coin machine or in advance online.
