After my little "adventure" with Westmount (see my review of them for the story), this became the company that was going to move my stuff from Ottawa to Halifax. When Westmount bailed on me last minute, I was left with only one day to pack everything and get it loaded onto the truck by 5pm. Not easy. The guys at Cassidy's were great- there were just three of them, one packing, and the other 2 loading items (fortunately I didn't have much stuff). As the day wore on though, the weather turned ugly, and the guys had to bring in some extra help to move things along. In the end they got the job done, (though we did need an hour extension- luckily, the new tenants had no plans in moving in that night). Upon arrival in Halifax, things went well. Again, the guys had to work like dogs, due to a heatwave. But it all worked out- there were a couple of broken items, but my insurance covered it, so that was nice. read more

We moved from the Perth, ON area to Bedford, NS. Moving day was rescued thanks to the professionalism of our moving 'team'. Turns out, the new owner decided to move in at noon (closing was 6 pm) and, while chaos could have ensued, our 'team' took control of the situation to ensure a smooth move on one of the hottest (+42) days of the summer!!! Do not let this company touch your things. They will take clothes off hangers and stuff them into boxes, pack food with bathroom stuff, damage your home and try to cover it up (in our home they ripped carpet and put something on top to hide it) not to mention a whole host of other things. The owners would not return requests from us to provide our feedback and instead replied that we were "harassing" them and that our requests were denied. We can't say enough about how we would not let any of our family/friends be treated this way. If you are thinking of a move with Cassidy's - flip the page. If you are moving with military refuse to let them in your house. read more

Much like Jane F's post, this company did damage and will not own up to it. Even after the damage was pointed out the staff did not document it. Some damages were hidden. When trying to deal with customer service reps they were rude and unwilling to listen. I gave them a 1 star rating only because there was nothing less. If you do decide or are forced to use this company document everything with pictures and closely inspect as things get packed and moved around. read more
