Tucker missed tech Ashley while she went to go get the vet :)

Great first experience at the vet! They were so kind, patient, and listened to my concerns.

Drove for an hour through heavy snow and ice with my sick pooch. They refused to see us because I was 15 min late. Nobody was in the waiting room and they told me that they were booked solid. I had to keep my hands on the wheel so I couldn't call.

This is what they did to Autumn

Lacking in communication and compassion. Over priced unnecessary procedures. Don't listen to pet parents.

When questioned the charge, was told that a "notice was mailed out at the end of january" but we never received it. Told them and the manager claimed they also sent out a text to the same number they sent the appointment reminder. Asked what number, and it was an old number that we have already told them to change 3 times. When I told the manager this she continued to reiterate the same excuses that a notice was mailed, that they texted us and that "the policy has been in place for a while so we should have known." But again, wrong phone number, never got the letter, and regardless of all of that they had multiple attempts to tell us over the phone as well as when I went to the appointment, not to mention a fee should be mentioned BEFORE the appointment, not after it is missed. Asked for a manager, and she said she was the manager, so I asked for someone higher and she claimed the owner was busy. It wasn't until I started to raise my voice because she was continuing to escalate the situation that she finally grabbed someone who I thought was the owner, but later after all was said and done that does not seem so. A manager grabbing a subordinate to talk to an upset customer?? Really??? That employee, regardless of status (but even worse if she was the owner) did the exact same thing even though I initially apologized and explained that the manager had given me a hard time in the past (when I tried to ask for resources to help find some cats a new home she kept blatantly ignoring me and was talking to the humane society about putting them in the pound even though it is not was I was requesting). I told her on top of the past interactions and everything that had happened today, of course I was angry. It was the fact there was a fee, it was that I wasn't told till after and that they charged my card extra without telling me. She claimed they are all good hardworking people and that we need to be adults, and I told her I understand I need to act like an adult, but them having professional business practices on top of not charging fees that are not discussed at the time of scheduling is a legal issue and is more important than me "acting like an adult" especially when all they were doing was fan the flames. My spouse called to apologize and someone other than the manager explained that neither of us are allowed to return because "the manager is uncomfortable with me" which is understandable, but my spouse was not present nor were they an issue so why are they banned? The staff member also apologized and said they saw the incident and said they saw the incident and that the "manager was harassing me" rather than helping me. This place has gone to shit ever since they changed some of the staff, and I wasn't planning on returning to begin with, and I told them that when I walked out. It's the fact that what should have been a recognition of the part they played in 1. Not changing our phone number in the system so we would get notifications 2. Making an attempt to contact by phone 3. Actually APOLOGIZING even if there was nothing that could be done rather than escalate 4. Not making excuses and blaming me because they "sent it in the mail" despite mail being slow sometimes. 5. Informing BEFORE charging extra and explaining the charge CALMY AND RESPECTFULLY 6. INFORMING OF THE NEW POLICY AT THE TIME THE APPOINTMENT IS SCHEDULED. Instead, I was blamed for everything, and can now no longer go to dakota vet, all because the MANAGER is complacent. If it weren't for a minimum of 1 star, I would give them a -5.
