"I had my daughters baby shower at the clubhouse, unfortunately the tables were set up outside vs inside. It was a beautiful day but my daughter wanted it inside for the air conditioning, rightfully so she is pregnant. No bid deal nothing else was set up yet. That's what I thought anyway! The design of the party was inside with balloons and flowers etc. When asked to bring the tables in, the one staff member that was there was rude and that attitude continued throughout the party. When asked to turn the air down so the temperature of the room could accommodate the 65 people, she said, " it's nice out side" Yes, she actually said that! When you receive poor customer service whether the food is good, the view is amazing all you can remember is how you were treated. Wow, you spending $2400 for a 3 hour a party and this is the treatment you get. There many other venues to choose from in the Dutchess County Area, choose wisely! read more

An hour and a half outside of the NYC Metro area, Casperkill is a great alternative to many Suffolk County golf courses regarding price, pace of play and layout. Mountain golf is not befitting a term, but there are enough elevation changes, one feels like a mountain goat while traversing the terrain. Short in length from the white tees and a bear from the tips, Casperkill is all about target golf and quality golf shot making as you try to manage yourself around the 6600 yards of pristine fairways and greens. When you strike a put, the ball holds the line as well as any course I have played, that is not private, which Casperkill actually was. The rough is deceptive, although not particularly tall it is difficult on certain spots just off the fairway to get enough club on the ball to make an attempt at the greens. Green-side rough I did not feel was difficult, your approach mis-hit can be converted into an up and down par. There are specials that run a player $50.00 with a cart and lunch which is a very reasonable price, so grab a few golf junkie buddies and give it a try. This was my fourth time playing here and it is always well worth the time and money. read more

Horrible Experience ! I had my wedding reception here. It was raining pretty hard so the owner offered to put my cake in his refrigerator for me until the next morning, and so accepted his kind offer. When my husband and I returned to get the cake in the morning we discovered that he left the cake outside in the tent, not even covered. When I called the owner and asked him what happened, and why my cake wasn't put away as he offered to do-he told me it was my problem I should have taken the cake with me. Don't waste your time or $ at this poorly run course. From the conditions to customer service they will be sure to disappoint. Cups are ALWAYS mangled and the course is ALWAYS soaking wet. Played here today with my father. Im a scratch golfer and work at a private country club so i know how your supposed to handle people. We were paired with a lovely man and wife and the wife was a great player. There were a threesome of men behind us who were ontop of us from the getgo and im guessing since they saw the women in our group they called the starter on us on the THIRD HOLE. This is where the problem occurs. Instead of politely saying can you please pick up your pace a bit the starter handled the situation in the absolute worst way. He basically sat us down like we were children in the priciples office and legitimately threatened us that if he had to come back and find us there would be a "problem". As a former D1 golfer and an employee at a course i felt very insulted by this rude starter and will never come back!!!!! Not to mention the course was very beat up, cup edges were rounded, and it was 150$ for 2 people. Best part of the story is that we finished under the 4:15 minute alotted time. I gave this course and there management team one star cause there's nothing less ..guys like us that play 60 plus rounds a year deserve better and I guess you just live and learn lol there's always an issue while playing the course and with there staff and there cavalier attitude .. it's not maintained properly ..the cups today were cut poorly and grass clippings everywhere and it's always soaked no matter the time of the year .. ..play mcann vinny and his crew are excellent and customer friendly read more

Decent golf course even for a hacker like me. My biggest problem is that we teed off at 3pm on a Friday. By the time we got to the turn, the clubhouse was closed. I've never been to a golf course that didn't serve beer. Don't think I'd recommend this place. read more

They did a great job for my friend's baby shower. It was at Mahoney's in Casperkill and I thought the food and the service were really good! We had various sandwiches and fresh fruit, and salad. Everything was very fresh and nicely served. The staff made sure we had everything we needed and came by often to check on the buffet table. The bathrooms were nice, and clean, as was the party area. There was a nice deck outside with additional seating, but we had plenty of room inside and it was humid so most of us stayed indoors. Although I didn't use it, the fully stocked bar was nice too! I only wish the room was more private. The people playing golf came by a couple of times to get a drink at the bar or use the bathroom. It wasn't terrible, just a bit distracting at times. All in all, though, it was a nice venue and a good experience. I would recommend them! read more

Went for a surprise party at one of the club buildings here, no golfing involved and that's for the better bc I really don't understand golf as a sport or hobby. But thats my own deal.. Great view on the covered patio deck, clean bathrooms, friendly bartender and nice atmosphere. Not sure if the golf club itself does the catering but that was only so-so. A romaine salad with blueberrys, some type of soft, possibly goat cheese and other typical salad goodies with what im guessing was a raspberry vinegrette, chicken piccata, a cut of beef, salmon, roasted tots, and seasoned green beans and broccoli. The chicken was AWESOME, tons of flavor and not dried out in the least, and the tots came a close second. The rest I was wondering what the hell happened. The salad was so putridly sweet and I dont even know if putridly is a word but that was it. Uber overdressed and I took one bite and pushed it to the side. More like a raspberry molasses yogurt on it versus a light dressing. The salmon was clearly farmed and overly fishy but in my wine induced hunger I ate it anyway. The vegatables were not seasoned so I doused them in salt n pepa to make the broccoli edible. I stay away from green beans. We have a long lived dispute that will never be settled. Overall the wine and corn-hole game as a finish to the evening was fun and spending time with the extended family was great. Food left me asking our driver to stop at T-Bells on the way home. Maybe it was an off day or maybe that was their norm. Edible but i've had better. Still it was a nice venue and weather was perfecto. One more thing they could add are better marked signs for each specific area on the grounds. read more

This golf course is great! Amazing atmosphere with a impeccable staff. We were only able to golf 3 1/2 holes because a storm diminished our fun but we were given a voucher to come back and play on a sunny day. The golf carts are great. They have built in GPS therefore it allows you to view the entire golf course and will pin point exactly how far you are away from the pin! It also gives you access to the dining facilities to order food! This is course is family oriented, its also public so no membership is needed. I recommend this course to everyone. read more

Today my mother (an American citizen of 20 years) went to golf with her 2 friends (also Asian American). They had a tee time set and were told they would be joined by a 4th player. When the time to tee off came the starter notified my mother that the person who was supposed to join them did not come and therefore asked them to be joined by 2 other people making a team of 5 (which is ridiculous and no golf course that takes money from costumers should do). When my mom said no. The starter said he'd have to send the 2 individuals before them (although their tee time was later) and that he'd have to join them with a 4th. So my mother waited to be joined by a 4th player. Whereas the team following her had only 2 players and the team after that was 2 players. Interesting the teams of 2 were all Caucasian males. The disrespect is unbelievable and the thought that my mother could just be pushed around and have to take the flack for white male incompetence is unbelievable. If I could give this course negative rating I would. I truly hope that male starter finds the errors of his ways and god bless him. read more

Played the course on 8/14 for the fist time ever, as we commuted 1.5 hours + to get there. Went on a Groupon - 4 players for $130. 18 holes with a cart. Tee time was 11am and we got started at 10:45am. Carts had GPS in them, which was very, very nice. Checked a few yardages against my Izzo GPS and they were within a couple of yards. Course was in good condition given the hot weather. You can tell they have been watering on a regular basis. Greens were very receptive and some approach shots for the group backed up on the green. Greens were smooth but not overly fast, again probably due to the heat and the forecast for more hot weather. The course is very deceptive. If you have never played there, MOST of the greens are elevated and required you to hit at least 1 or 2 clubs more on the approach. We played from 6150 yards but it played like 6500-6600 yards. The only thing the group didn't care for was the lack of a first cut of rough. You were either in the fairway or the rough. I'd suggest that the maintenance staff introduce a first cut of rough, maybe 4 yards on each side of the fairway. All of us had at least a couple of tee shots miss the fairway by a foot or less and we had nasty lies in the rough. No first cut is why I give the course 4 stars. Golf staff was friendly and pace of play was good - 4 hours and 20 minutes. Very enjoyable and would go back. read more

I have golfed at Casperkill for over 15 years and it has always been very well maintained. I truly enjoy playing at this course. I think it is a tad bit overpriced, but ultimately you do get what you pay for. read more

We had a golf outing of a small group of guys who we were told would start at 10 am. We showed up at 9 am to get ready. Then they had another event and said sorry but we'll need to move ur group to 1030 and just was informed it will be close to noon? This is just simply not acceptable. read more

Great golf course. It is well maintained and challenging. You can play it quite long on the blacks. Price is reasonable, especially for a senior walking @ $28.00. They offer many specials many with lunch. Only downside is that the club house is rather small and lacks style, however the deck is great with nice views of 9 and 18. This was formerly an IBM owned employee course. read more
