The staff can't stand to be pulled away from their phones to work. Texting while completing the transaction. When I buy 4 items, I'm asked if I want a bag like it's a chore for them to offer and painful for them to bag the items. Ample staff, but they congregate near the check out lanes and are all on their phones.

Somewhere along the line, they expanded into the big-box concept. I've been in several of these large stores over the years from Austin to Dallas and they are all a little different. Seems like for a while they tried to be everything to everybody including gourmet food items, cigar humidors, huge liquor brands, and a varied selection. but, somewhere along the way reality set in and these same stores now have somewhat of an empty feeling. Enter the newer stores that have been scaled down. While still having a pretty good selection of liquor, the specialty items have been cut back to some cheeses, frozen pizza, etc. i needed limes the other day and they had none. Plenty of lemons. When ask of an associate he replied "no limes today Mexico won't send them to us". he then just turned and walked away. The rest of the staff was aloof also including a lifeless checkout person. Not sure ill go back to this location. I hate feeling unappreciated. Looks like they got too big for their britches and are shrinking in business and common courtesy. Think Ill go back to supporting my mom and pop down the street.

Lunch here gets crazy, they do receive phone orders but not during lunch rush 12-1. (7-11& Valorie) this location always has the best prices and the gas is always good! Best bang for your buck. I have an older car and it runs so much better on chevron gas. FACT! My only issue with this station is that an employee parks their vehicle in a lane that could be accessed by a patron. Having to wait to gain access to a pump twice a week is aggravating. There are plenty of other spots for employees to park. This particular employee is super lazy. I've had multiple interactions with him inside. He honestly does not give a shit. This employee is lazy and could park in other available spots. Instead he chose to block a usable lane for patrons. I find this super irritating. Particularly, When I see this consistently, and it's my favorite station. Don't you want to sell gas? Daddy needs to step up and make the boy move. I don't think he's that privileged. Money is money in the end! Don't you want your station to be successful? I guess not! Amy is the queen of the liquor store!! I love when she's there. Such a breath of fresh air. I'll keep returning even if the fat lazy son is there. He just needs an intervention. There is so special ambience. March, April, May, 2024
