First thing to know, Downtown Omaha is kind of a grocery store desert - or at least that was the impression I got from my visit. We were travelling with our toddler and while I KNOW she should be 100% off bottles, we are picking our fights and she still enjoys one with her milk in the morning and in the evening. That being said, we only brought two bottles and planned on cleaning them as we went. Our only problem was we forgot dish soap. After asking the front desk where would be the easiest place to find some they recommended Cubby's and they were right! While you pay convenience store prices, it was easy to pick up what we needed and they had a few options which was nice. The store itself has a good variety of food, snacks, odds and ends, and likely serves as a little grocer for anyone who lives nearby. I wouldn't say I loved this place so much I would definitely return, but I will say it was clean, had what we needed, and was conveneint, which really was about all I could ask for in a nearby convenience store.

Now that I am in graduate school and live further away, I still bring my car here if there's an issue. I don't even bother shopping around, because I know these guys will give me the best price. Before this, I was about to pump some gas, when I noticed a bunch smoking right outside the front door. I guess they noticed me and then walked away only to reveal that they were smoking in front of the Blue Rhino (yes, that's propane) cage. The cashiers are friendly, probably glad when anybody looking halfway normal walks through the door. Don't go walking around in this neighborhood.
